Summary

The Control Technician performs a variety of maintenance, modification, and repair activities in controls of all building equipment and material handling systems in the distribution centers. This includes troubleshooting and repairing AC & DC circuits, photo eye sensors, encoders, programmable logic controllers, and bar code readers.

Responsibilities
  • Duties are illustrative and not inclusive and may vary with individual assignments
  • Follow lockout-tag out procedures, confined space procedures, and other safety and environmental procedures and policies as required
  • Perform program changes, monitoring of PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) and PMS (Process Management Systems)
  • Troubleshoot issues of all Controls, Process Controllers, Control Cabinets, Power Supplies and all other field devices
  • Performs skilled and semi-skilled maintenance activities including performing material handling equipment troubleshooting and repair; office furniture moves and setups
  • Completes work orders for work performed and includes parts and inventory used
  • Document all work order activities to follow MP2 requirements, providing detailed records of the activities performed

  • Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals and schematics, to include blueprints

Job Details Position Summary The Controller will play a critical leadership role within the finance organization, overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, treasury functions, and financial management activities.

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), this individual will ensure the integrity of financial information, compliance with GAAP, and support strategic initiatives including tax planning and cash management.

The Controller will lead and develop a large accounting team and serve as a key partner to senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial close processes Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP Lead treasury and cash management functions, including liquidity planning, banking relationships, and forecasting Support and assist with tax planning strategies, compliance, and coordination with external tax advisors Establish, maintain, and enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures Manage and mentor a large accounting team, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture Partner with the CFO on financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning Coordinate audits and serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and regulatory inquiries Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations and industry standards within the financial services sector Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification strongly preferred Extensive knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements Strong background in treasury operations, cash management, and financial management Experience assisting with or overseeing tax planning and compliance activities Proven experience managing and developing large accounting teams Prior experience in a financial services environment strongly preferred Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment Reporting Relationship Reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Interested in hearing more?
