Production Control Manager | G-III Distribution Center

Reporting to: Director of Operations
Location: On-Site in Dayton, NJ Distribution Center
Profile:
The Production Control Manager will oversee the planning, coordination and execution of daily order fulfillment activities at the G-III warehouse. This role ensures that production plans align with business demand across all channels, driving efficiency, accuracy and on-time delivery. The Manager will leverage data, systems and cross-functional communication, combining analytical precision with strong leadership skills to deliver consistent results in a dynamic, high-volume warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Planning & Execution
- Develop, communicate, and manage daily production plans based on order volume, SKU mix, store allocations, and e-commerce fulfillment needs.
- Monitor production progress throughout the day, communicate to leaders to make real-time adjustments to staffing and communicate proper priorities to meet cut-off and carrier schedules.
- Collaborate closely with Inventory Control, Allocation, and Transportation teams to ensure accurate and on-time order processing.
Performance & Process Management
- Track and analyze productivity, throughput, and labor efficiency by department and channel.
- Identify bottlenecks, process variances, and opportunities for improvement to enhance service levels and reduce costs.
- Partner with Operations teams to optimize WMS (Warehouse Management System) functions, wave planning, and order flow.
- Lead post-shift reviews to assess performance against plan and recommend operational adjustments.
System & Data Control
- Manage order waves and production sequencing within the WMS to balance workload across departments.
- Maintain data integrity and timely updates to dashboards, reports, and KPIs used for labor forecasting and decision-making.
- Ensure all production control activities comply with company policies and operational standards.
Leadership & Communication
- Lead and develop a team of wave planners and routing clericals.
- Serve as the communication bridge between operations, planning, customer service, and transportation teams.
- Support a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance to supervisors and managers on workload forecasting, labor planning, and daily goal attainment.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all production control processes support a safe working environment and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Promote safe work practices and participate in root-cause analysis of any operational or safety incidents.

Qualifications:

- Strong understanding of WMS (preferably Manhattan Active), labor management, and production planning systems.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex SKU assortments and multi-channel fulfillment environments.
- Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, basic data manipulation, charts, graphs) and data analytics tools; experience with KPI dashboards preferred.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Experience with Lean or continuous improvement initiatives a plus.
The pay range for this position is: $75,000 per year -$85,000 per year

The David Yurman Brand Ambassador will be accountable for the following key deliverables:
Responsibilities
Sales and Service
- Deliver individual sales budget by maximizing all selling opportunities
- Create a positive and rewarding client experience, that is warm and hospitable in all customer interactions
- Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring that the customer takes priority at all times
- Fully support and align with all key business initiatives and new product launches
- Remain current and knowledgeable of industry trends, to determine opportunities to maximize sales within the market.
Clientele Development
- Collect meaningful customer data for the purpose of building relationships and personalizing future client development opportunities
- Utilize the available marketing tools to engage current and new business and drive sales
- Embrace and utilize technology to enhance customer experience
Operations
- Assist with inventory control and keep shrink levels below target
- Maintain consistent visual merchandising and housekeeping standards reflecting current visual guidelines and priorities at all times
- Maintain an up to date knowledge of all product categories
- Ensure adherence to company retail operating and security procedures
- Partner with support team in the repair process and follow up on customer communication

Qualifications
- Previous retail or luxury retail sales or relevant clientele focused experience
- Proven track record in achieving sales results
- Exceptional clientele, customer relationship building skills
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
- Possess computer skills to operate our retail POS system, and MS Office Programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Flexibility to work in various roles based on business needs (i.e. on the sales floor, operations, etc.).
- Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
The expected base salary for this role is $20.00 - $25.00/hour, plus commission.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Supervise the quality process to ensure the production environment has what is needed to meet key business/manufacturing metrics, which satisfy customer needs and product standards. Key responsibilities include spending time on the production floor, performing quality checks on finished product and raw materials, overseeing manufacturing processes and controls, striving for continuous improvement, and supporting ISO quality systems and compliance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee all quality-related functions in the plant.
- Participate in the development of specifications for processing, products, and materials.
- Perform all required quality tests for raw materials, work in progress, and finished products.
- Ensure that quality checks are performed at the required frequency and targets, additionally, periodically evaluate target levels, and amend as appropriate.
- Regularly audit product and process to ensure standard work is executed on the floor and in the lab.
- Ensure that any non-conforming product is properly identified for a decision on disposition by Management.
- Track, report, and reduce manufacturing waste.
- Work directly with purchasing personnel on vendor quality or supply issues; assist with vendor selection and qualification.
- Lead ISO Quality systems.
- Research customer complaints, including but not limited to engaging in root cause investigation, suggesting corrective action, implementing actions, and providing follow-up while following the SAP quality process and maintaining metrics.
- Manage all lab functions and staff, while assuring the safety and integrity of those operations and employees.
- Maintain all testing equipment and ensure that it is in proper working order.
- Organize and maintain related files, logs, and reports.
- Develop quality standards/test/inspection plan for raw materials and finished product (specification, sample size and frequency) as well as a robust training process.
- Develop lean and sustainable saving plans and facilitate small K generation and implementation.
- Lead all product compliance activities to ensure certification.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment with a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in quality-related programs such as lean, ISO, six sigma, etc.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Attain and maintain all related Health and Safety Certifications.
OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Familiarity with manufacturing regulations and reporting methods.
- Knowledge of the production process and team interactions.
- Analytical acumen for compiling and analyzing data.
- Ability to plan, organize, follow through, and prioritize.
- Ability to interact with all levels within the organization.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Quality and safety oriented, attention to detail.
- Training in quality programs (lean, ISO, Six Sigma).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Incumbent must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, balance, kneel, talk, hear, and lift up to 50 lbs.
BENEFITS AND COMPENSATION:
- The salary range for applicants in this position generally ranges between $66,434 and $83,044. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operations, needs, and other considerations permitted by law.
