Position Summary


The Quality Control Manager is responsible for all aspects of Quality measurement, product inspection and in-process testing in West Nyack, NY. The primary responsibility is to ensure that Quality Control personnel perform the required inspection accurately and as specified by the appropriate quality documentation. This position will allocate resources to efficiently maintain orders on schedule.


Essential Functions


  • Quality Control – Product Inspection and Release


  1. Testing of materials required to produce a finished product and the final product to confirm compliance to issued specifications.
  2. QC Inspectors are responsible for (but not limited to)
  3. Physical – Dimensions, Hardness, Drop test, tap test, net weight; Visual – Color (e.g. color matching), Appearance; Sensory - Odor, Texture


  • Product Disposition


  1. Determine final disposition of all products
  2. Responsible for approving and rejecting all batches
  3. Management of Product Hold and Disposition


  • Quality Control Documentation/Samples for Clients


  1. Conversion of Product Specifications to Production Line Documentation (checklists, forms)
  2. Finished Product Documentation to be issued to Clients, (e.g. COA)
  3. Pre-Shipment Samples to Clients


  • Management of Documents and Product Samples Retention Requirements


  1. Records /Documentation review and sign off for OTC Products


  • Monitor and Confirm production operations conforming to specifications or requirements

  2. Critical Process Parameter Line Set Up


  • Management of Staff
  • Manage QC work schedules; accountable for QC team’s work hours
  • Responsible for allocating QC personnel to the production line
  • Perform staff performance evaluation

Job Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Applied Sciences or Engineering (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field).
  • At least 5 years of experience in Quality Management, QA, or QC.
  • Proven expertise in Quality Management in cosmetic industry
  • Familiarity with Quality Systems, including GMP and GLP, in an FDA-regulated industry.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues promptly, analyze information effectively, and develop alternative solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

The Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) Program/Project Manager for New Product Development (NPD) provides strategic leadership and hands-on orchestration of complex, cross-functional, system-level engineering programs that span hardware, controls, software and manufacturing domains from concept through commercialization. This leader builds and manages integrated program plans across all functions to deliver innovative solutions that meet the highest safety, quality, cost, customer value and overall business impact. The Program/Project Manager fosters collaboration, innovation and learning across functions and drives execution through schedule integrity (capacity planning, critical path), proactively identifies and mitigates risks, ensures manufacturing and supplier readiness, and facilitates governance using Rite-Hite's New Product Development process and the appropriate Waterfall/Agile/Hybrid methods. The Program/Project Manager integrates systems thinking, data-driven decision-making, and an iterative approach to accelerate value delivery and build a culture of transparency and continuous improvement.

KEY OUTCOMES

  • On-time to launch: 90% of NPD stage gate milestones met; 85% of programs launch on or before target dates.
  • Quality at launch and customer value: First-pass build yield and early field performance meet or exceed targets; post-launch defect rate/warranty within target thresholds while delivering tangible customer and market value.
  • Business case realization: Internal program cost + orders, sales and margin aligned with business case; variance drivers identified with corrective actions.
  • Readiness: Manufacturing, supplier, service and go-to-market readiness complete per integrated system-level program plan; no critical "late surprises."

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

Strategic Leadership:

Partner with the business unit leadership team to execute prioritized complex, multi-disciplinary New Product Development programs to deliver target safety, quality, cost, customer value and overall business impact.

  • Ensure alignment on requirements (VOC), product/feature scope and acceptance criteria.
  • Apply systems engineering management principles to ensure integration across mechanical, controls, electrical, and software disciplines.
  • Facilitate business and technical trade-offs to protect customer value; escalate issues with data, options and recommendations.
  • Act as a connector between strategy and execution, aligning engineering, product, and business roadmaps.
  • Provide thought leadership on program management best practices and emerging trends and supporting technologies in the field.
  • Support business unit annual capacity planning to help determine next fiscal year roadmaps and strategic plans.

Program and Project Management:

Aligned with the business unit strategy and roadmap, build and maintain integrated program plans across Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, Quality, Distribution, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Applications, Service, IT, HR, Legal/IP and Finance.

  • Own the integrated program plan with explicit dependencies, resource loading and a continuously maintained critical path.
  • Establish and manage scope/schedule/cost baselines with formal change control.
  • Maintain a living schedule risk analysis with scenario planning; create what-if plans and recovery paths.

Governance and Standardization:

Adhere to enterprise-wide project management methodologies, frameworks and processes. Ensure consistent application of governance policies, risk management, and quality assurance across all projects and programs.

  • Operate within Rite-Hite's New Product Development process; scale the process as appropriate for the scope of each program; prepare and run program reviews (core team, stakeholder updates, stage gates with clear entry/exit criteria), documented decisions and follow-ups.
  • Champion and continuously improve Rite-Hite's New Product Development stage gate process across all functions with ongoing training, standard tools/templates, and best practice sharing.
  • Blend Waterfall/Agile/Hybrid appropriately across hardware and embedded/software components; ensure traceability from requirements to test/validation.
  • Identify and eliminate systemic bottlenecks that limit innovation or cross-functional efficiency.

Resource Management:

Lead resource planning and allocation across projects and programs to ensure optimal utilization. Identify and resolve labor, asset, plant, vendor, etc. conflicts and ensure adequate staffing for high-priority projects. Proactively surface cross-program dependencies and resolve conflicts.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

Link to established business unit KPIs (e.g., on-time stage gates) and establish program-specific leading indicator KPIs (e.g., critical path health) to monitor program health. Track program budgets, capital/tooling and unit economics; partner with product management and finance on business case gating and post-launch performance. Use data-driven insights to inform decisions and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Leads without direct authority; fosters a culture of accountability, transparency and continuous improvement.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field from an accredited 4-year university.
  • 5-10 years' experience leading complex new product development and system-level programs for industrial/electro-mechanical products or integrated controls-software offerings from concept through launch, with expertise in critical path, dependency mapping and integrated cross-functional planning.
  • 3-5 years' experience in a senior role within an EPMO or similar role with oversight of strategic direction or project management across an organization.
  • Demonstrated success in managing cross-functional hardware, software and service programs with manufacturing and supply chain integration in a matrix-based organization.

The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) KC-46 Tanker Program is seeking a Product Lifecycle Management Engineer to perform change integration functions for new and derivative products and provide technical support in Configuration Status Accounting tasks such as As-Built to As-Design reconciliation. This is a BDS position located in Everett, Washington, and reports to the PLM Manager of the KC-46 Configuration and Data Management team.

The KC-46 is a high-visibility, leading-edge Commercial Derivative airplane program to support the United States Air Force and International Customers.Β  As a Product Lifecycle Management Engineer, you will use Program Management Best Practices to oversee the definition and integration of configuration and data management tasks that span multiple engineering functions and airplane level engineering projects and processes as the KC-46 program transitions from Development into Production phases. This position will be 100% onsite in Everett, WA.Β 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates/Leads the development, analysis, management and compliance verification of process and product baselines of complex products
  • Defines, plans, coordinates and conducts (or leads) product and subsystem level technical design reviews and audits for new and derivative products.
  • Coordinates/leads the integration and control of the configuration of Software and Hardware product elements and analyzes & resolves issues with engineering product structure.
  • Develops, integrates and implements (or leads) engineering technical program plans including impacts, risks and incorporation of lessons learned spanning multiple engineering functions.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assist in defining Guidance, Navigation and Control mission requirements and ensure requirements traceability and quality from the system level to component level

  • Use multidisciplinary model data (aero, mass properties, propulsion, etc.) to develop and refine a complex, nonlinear, 6 degrees of freedom simulation model

  • Use various software languages, C, C++, FORTRAN, Python, etc. to develop, implement, integrate and test vehicle models and controllers

  • Support design of flight control laws using modern linear control design techniques and tools to achieve design and performance targets

  • Use advanced nonlinear analysis to assess and refine the control law design

  • Perform model validation against test data to inform and improve the accuracy of the simulation environment

  • Develop supplementary controllers, limiters, mode logic, and signal shaping to properly bound the performance within all areas of the flight envelope

  • Work with flight simulation and Vehicle Management Systems (VMS) software engineers to incorporate control laws into the operational flight program

  • Support flight simulations including desktop, software, and real time simulations

  • Support hardware in the loop development and testing

  • Support flight testing planning and execution

  • Participate in design reviews, analyses, simulations and component/system testing to ensure delivery of products that meet or exceed customer requirements and expectations

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

* Experience specifying and qualifying PCB suppliers and contract manufacturers: supplier audits, capability assessment, lead-time negotiation, and transfer of design data to manufacturers with clear assembly/inspection requirements.
* Understanding of assembly considerations: pick-and-place constraints, component footprint validation, stencil design, solder paste processes, reflow profiles, and wave/hand soldering where applicable.
* Proficiency in manufacturing documentation and process control for PCB production: creation/review of assembly drawings, process work instructions, soldering procedures, rework guidelines, and in-process inspection criteria.
* Effective communication and stakeholder management skills: able to coordinate across design engineering, manufacturing, test, supply chain, and quality teams.
* Demonstrated familiarity with quality and manufacturing systems such as AS9100, ISO standards, and corrective action processes.
* Practical understanding of test methods and instrumentation (functional test, environmental, vibration, thermal vacuum, EMI/EMC) and data acquisition/analysis tools.
* Experience with production processes: assembly work instructions, tooling, fixtures, tolerance stack-up, process capability and manufacturing principles.
