Position Summary
CTE is seeking a motivated Summer Intern to support projects related to zero-emission transportation, industry collaboration, and workforce development. This internship is part of CTE’s structured summer internship program designed to provide students with hands-on experience in the clean transportation sector while developing professional skills and industry knowledge.
The intern will work closely with CTE staff in Berkeley and across the organization to support a range of initiatives, including project research, administrative coordination, and internal process improvement. The position provides exposure to multiple aspects of nonprofit project implementation—including grant administration, financial analysis, industry and technical research, stakeholder engagement, and training program administration.
Throughout the program, the intern will participate in CTE’s cohort-based learning model, professional development sessions, and mentorship opportunities. The internship culminates in a presentation to CTE leadership highlighting the intern’s work and contributions.
This role is ideal for students interested in sustainable transportation, clean energy policy, nonprofit program management, workforce development, or project management and consulting. Interns will gain valuable experience working with industry leaders, public agencies, and nonprofit organizations advancing zero-emission transportation solutions.
Responsibilities
The Summer Intern will support multiple teams and projects while completing defined project deliverables during the program. Responsibilities may include:
Project and Program Support
- Assist CTE project managers and staff with research and administrative support related to zero-emission transportation initiatives.
- Support grant-funded program activities by conducting market research, data analysis, or internal process reviews and development.
- Participate in project and partner meetings to observe how large-scale clean transportation programs are implemented.
Organizational and Administrative Support
- Assist with scheduling meetings and coordinating project communications.
- Support document preparation, data organization, and internal reporting.
- Help maintain and update contact records and program information within internal systems.
Training and Workforce Development Support
- Assist with administrative coordination for industry training programs, including course logistics and participant communications.
- Help prepare training certificates and outreach communications for program participants.
- Support member engagement activities and outreach coordination.
Research and Process Improvement
- Conduct research on transportation, market, or policy topics relevant to CTE projects.
- Assist staff in evaluating opportunities to improve internal processes or project workflows.
- Compile information and develop documentation to support internal program operations.
Programmatic Responsibilities
- Attending Mentor and Intern Cohort check-ins
- Producing a capstone presentation and presenting it to CTE leadership and staff
- Writing a Transition Memo for their Mentor
- The Summer Intern will receive a performance evaluation from CTE
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree program
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate in team environments and communicate effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
- Interest in clean transportation, sustainability, energy systems, or environmental policy
- Experience with research, data analysis, or project coordination
- Familiarity with CRM systems, databases, or data management tools
- Prior internship, academic project, or leadership experience demonstrating initiative and problem solving

Primary Purpose
The Biostatistics Intern is responsible for working closely with biostatisticians on biomedical research projects across a variety of therapeutic areas. Department Information
Georgia Tech Research Institute's program seeks students pursuing a High School diploma with an interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math to join our Summer Internship Program. To be eligible for this program, students must have completed the 2024 High School Summer Internship Program Pre-Application prior to January 22, 2024. interns will assist GTRI's researchers with a variety of Research, Fabrication, Analysis, Modeling, Design, Software Development, Hardware Development and Research Support tasks and work in different labs across campus. Students should be interested in learning about research, analysis, fabrication, design, development, and/or assembly of RF, Analog, and Digital systems as defined by unit management.
Job Summary
Under direct supervision, a Research Intern will contribute to projects and/or programs specific to the hiring department. A Research Intern may work across diverse fields related to their field of study or other areas of interest. This role may work in a laboratory setting, closed laboratory, field sites or office. A Research Intern may contribute to projects and/or programs, which may require safety training as a prerequisite. This role will interact consistently with unit management, staff, faculty and students.

Required Qualifications
Required Minimum Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications
Due to the nature of the work at GTRI, job duties will depend upon lab-level supervisory needs. High School students could participate in the following projects/tasks:
Software programming and development
Working with robotics
Soldering to IPC J-001 standards
Assembling and wiring custom cables to the 620 IPC standards
Assembling and wiring custom modules and chassis to IPC standards
Providing technical assistance to engineering personnel.
The ability to analyze basic AC and DC circuits.
Working with the mechanical team in assembling and fabricating chassis.

About You

This internship position is a great opportunity for a student majoring in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or other related fields to gain hands-on experience working with Wakefern’s Engineering Division. In this position, the intern will assist the Engineering team in project management in our Retail Engineering Design Department.
Responsibilities:
Facilities Engineering / Design and Construction
- Assist Engineering in preparation of plans using AutoCAD
- Assist Engineering Personnel in surveys of existing sites and stores to verify existing conditions
- Assist in drafting of remodels or new sites, including parking lots and stores
- Coordinate scanning of existing paper drawings into electronic files
- Visit new sites to determine best layout for building, parking and truck docks as well as truck paths through the site.

Compensation and Benefits:
First year Facilities Engineering Interns will be paid at $17.00 per hour. Master Students and Returning Wakefern Supply Chain/Logistic Interns will be paid at $19.00 per hour. The IT Intern (Technology Deployment) is a temporary, project-based role supporting the resorts network modernization initiative, including upgrades to GPON infrastructure, enterprise Wi-Fi access points, and IPTV equipment.
This role provides structured, hands-on exposure to large-scale technological deployments in a hospitality environment. Responsibilities focus primarily on equipment staging, physical installation support, and basic operational validation under the direct supervision of the Information Technology team.
The intern may perform limited basic provisioning or initial device setup tasks using predefined procedures, such as entering device identifiers, selecting predefined configuration templates, or initiating activation steps. These activities are strictly procedural and performed under supervision.

Basic Setup & Validation
* Enter or verify device identifiers in tracking systems
