Responsibilities

Join our team as a Property Field Inspection Claim Specialist and showcase your expertise in handling accident and weather-related claims for homeowners, commercial properties, and large losses.

We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled professional to contribute to our dynamic team. You will be the first point of contact to meet with our insureds, explain coverage, estimate damages, and help them through the claims process while providing Remarkable service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct on-site inspections and assessments of property damages for both residential and commercial claims
  • Collaborate with policyholders, insurance agents, and other involved parties to gather information and resolve claims efficiently
  • May occasionally require interacting with parties who express strong emotions or concerns about ongoing inspections or claim resolutions
  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the claims process, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally
  • Gather necessary evidence, document findings, and prepare detailed reports to support the claims handling process
  • Investigate and adjust both personal and commercial property claims with exposures up to $500,000
  • Evaluate coverage and policy terms to determine the validity of claims and ensure compliance with local regulations
  • Negotiate and settle claims within the authorized limits, considering policy provisions, industry standards, and company guidelines

This is a Remote-Field position in which you will work from home and utilize a mobile office/vehicle for in-person appointments. Although the primary work location is in the field, with a commutable distance from home, there will be opportunities for virtual work to be completed at home. Additionally, there may be occasions where you will be required to travel outside your assigned area to assist in other territories.

Hours of operation are continually evaluated and may change based on business need. Successful candidates are able and willing to work flexible schedules and may be asked to work overtime and/or irregular hours.



Qualifications

Competitive candidates must demonstrate:

  • Experience as a Property Field Inspection Claim Specialist in the insurance industry, specifically in property claims
  • Strong knowledge of property insurance policies, coverage and claim handling practices
  • Knowledge of both residential and commercial building construction
  • Familiarity with local regulations and compliance requirements in your assigned territory
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, agents, and other stakeholders
  • Proven effective communication skills to handle difficult/emotional conversations with a customer-minded focus
  • Proven ability to assess damages, estimate repair costs, and negotiate settlements
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Proficient in using claims management software and other relevant tools
  • Physical agility to allow for: frequent lifting, carrying and climbing a ladder; ability to navigate roofs at various heights for inspection of both residential and commercial structures; ability to crawl in tight spaces
  • May be required to complete Rope and Harness Safety Training.
  • A valid driver's license is required

The Mass Properties Engineer will be an integral member of the overall Flight Sciences team. They will be involved in the conduct of mass properties analyses related to aircraft modification programs. Individual will prepare detailed analyses documenting the impact of modifications on overall aircraft mass properties characteristics. Individual will create thorough, well-written documentation, reports, and other forms of written communication in a timely, efficient and effective manner. Essential Functions:

What you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree; OR 4+ years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.

  • 6+ years of progressive customer service, operational, military or leadership experience to include a minimum of 2 years of claims handling experience required with demonstrated proficiency.

  • 2+ years of direct team lead, supervisory or management experience.

  • Experience using and interpreting data to make decisions.

  • Demonstrated leadership, initiative, customer service and/or claims handling skills.

  • Acquisition and maintenance of applicable insurance adjuster license within 6 months time in role.

What sets you apart:

  • 4+ years Property Claims experience (preferably dwelling and content)

  • Experience handling water loss claims

  • Property Claims leadership experience

  • Experience leading a team of 6 or more

  • Experience leading within a call center environment

  • Demonstrated ability to perform critical review of property estimates

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze contractual policy provisions in a multi-state environment to provide appropriate guidance and settlement authority

  • Demonstrated proficiency with the Xactimate estimating platform

  • Completed Bachelor’s or higher degree or Insurance or Process Engineering Designations (CPCU, SCLA, PCLA)

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead through strategic & organizational changes delivering intended results and outcomes

  • Demonstrated ability to inspire/motivate, develop employees, coach effectively and promote talent

  • US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner

Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $103,450 - $186,210.

About You

As a Property Assistant you will be involved in various aspects of managing a commercial building from operations and financial activities to managing important relationships with our tenants and property owners. From managing service contracts and tracking bid packages, to completing property inspections and making recommendations, you'll have the opportunity to share your innovative ideas to continually improve how we manage our commercial properties.

In this role, you will

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with property owners, tenants, vendors and contractors.
  • Respond in a timely manner to tenants' needs to meet lease obligations.
  • Support senior management by preparing regular ownership reports.
  • Successfully manage all administrative tasks, including work orders, invoice coding, service requests, rent and expense payments, property maintenance and vendor compliance requirements.

What you'll bring

  • 2+ years' in commercial or residential property administration experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel).
  • You communicate clearly and effectively at all levels.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
