The Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Environmental Control Systems (ECS) Multiprogram Engineering organization is seeking a firstline manager to lead the Thermal and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) team in Everett, WA .

Position Overview:

This is a hands-on technical leadership and program management role responsible for delivering detailed thermal and airflow analyses across Boeing commercial and military derivative airplane programs. You will lead a multidisciplinary team of analysts and engineers to produce highquality, timely results that support design trade studies, certification, supplier engagement, and inservice troubleshooting.

This role blends people leadership, technical mentorship, and program execution. You will champion technical excellence, foster a collaborative culture, and partner with systems, structures, interiors, and the technical fellowship to support our biggest projects in BCA as well as grow tools and capabilities for the future.

Key Position Responsibilities:

Lead, mentor, and develop the Thermal & CFD team: set priorities, establish clear expectations, conduct performance feedback, and grow technical depth across roles (lead, analysts, TLE, BDE).

Plan and manage the team Statement of Work (SOW): prioritize requests, track progress to plan, and balance capacity across concurrent commercial and military derivative programs.

Deliver technical results: ensure CFD and thermal analysis artifacts (models, scripts, reports, and presentations) meet accuracy, traceability, and documentation standards.

Represent ECS in program reviews, supplier meetings, and customer discussions: prepare and present technical briefings, decision materials, and status updates to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

Coordinate multidisciplinary execution: interface with systems, structures, interiors, electrical, and manufacturing teams to align analyses with program needs and certification requirements.

Advocate for safety and quality: identify and communicate risks, propose mitigation plans, and ensure outputs support certification and operational safety cases.

Resource, budget, and computing stewardship: lead staffing plans, forecast resourcing, and manage budget; coordinate with IT for HPC access, licenses, and data storage required to complete the SOW.

Drive technical strategy: partner with the technical fellowship to evaluate and implement future tools, automation, and capability improvements (e.g., mesh automation, workflow orchestration, surrogate modeling).

Foster a high performing, inclusive organization: recruit talent, promote continuous learning, and model Boeing’s values.

Maintain relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers to ensure alignment and successful delivery.

Basic/Required Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry

5+ years of relevant engineering experience, including thermal and/or CFD work.

3+ years of experience leading or supervising engineering teams.

Strong background in fluid dynamics and heat transfer analysis.

Practical experience with CFD and thermal tools (examples: ANSYS Fluent, CFX, STARCCM+, Thermal Desktop, SINDA/FLUINT) or comparable industry software.

Demonstrated ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and deliver against schedule, cost, and performance goals.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present complex technical topics to diverse audiences.

Desired/Preferred Skills and Experience:

5+ years conducting thermal analysis evaluations for aerospace systems.

Experience with high performance computing (HPC) environments, license management, and CFD workflow automation.

Knowledge of certification processes and regulatory requirements relevant to environmental control and thermal systems.

Experience managing technical work and coordinating across global teams.

Prior success implementing team capability growth plans and mentoring early career engineers.

The successful candidate will apply deep expertise in LO materials, integration, manufacturing, computational electromagnetic (CEM) modelling, and test support to design, build and test a representative pole model for an advanced next generation program in the St. Louis region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead detailed LO design and integration for the RCS pole model, including material selection, incorporation of advanced technologies, supplier hardware integration.

  • Use computational electromagnetic solvers to model, analyze, and optimize radar cross section (RCS) and scattering behavior across required frequency bands and aspect angles in support of pre-test predictions and diagnostics.

  • Work with Manufacturing to ensure proper alignment between design, analysis and fabrication of LO components.

As a Static Timing Analysis (STA) Engineer you will handle pre-layout and post-layout timing for state-of-the-art digital ICs/SoCs & FPGAs on the most critical programs across the Boeing Defense and Security enterprise. You will collaborate with other electronics groups across the company and around the world from the early design stages until signoff to help achieve first pass success. You will be working with a large physical design team within the company and outside of the company for timing convergence. Boeing STA engineers are required work with IP team, EDA vendors, and Foundry for the design closure.

Position Responsibilities

- Responsible for STA analysis and convergence throughout the ASIC cycle
- Responsible for finding solution for intricate timing paths (Digital, analog and mixed signal)
- Facilitate STA methodology in collaboration with other STA leaders
- Generate timing constraints for multiple ASICs and FPGAs
- Generate tool independent timing constraints that will work for synthesis, place & route and static timing analysis
- Responsible for intricate cross domain timing path closure
- Extract timing information from circuit analysis and develop primary input setup/hold timing constraints as well as primary output required arrival time (RAT) and skew timing constraints
- Programming skills with Python, TCL, Perl, Unix shell etc.
- Help train new engineers

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in El Segundo, CA.

Our worksite participates in Boeing's optional 9/80 schedule rotation. 9/80 is a rotation in which employees can work 9-hour shifts, 8 days per pay period (bi-weekly) and receive every other Friday off.

Safety & Quality Assurance
Adhere to procedures for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), infection control, and hazardous materials handling
Assist with implementation of quality improvement programs to meet company standards
Promote services and products to community referral sources as appropriate

Lead, Respiratory Support Technician - All Level 1 and 2 duties plus:
Serves as subject matter expert and primary resource for team
Conducts new hire training and mentors team members
Handles escalated calls and complex issues with appropriate follow-up
Identifies root causes of service issues and collaborates on process improvements
Prepares reports for leadership and other departments
Supports departmental standards and Patient Experience initiatives
Assists with task coordination and ensures adherence to workflows
Collaborate with supervisor on performance metrics and service excellence
Assist with implementation of quality improvement programs to meet company policies.
Maintain patient confidentiality and function within the guidelines of HIPAA.
Completes assigned compliance training and other educational programs as required.
Maintains compliant with AdaptHealth’s Compliance Program.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Education and Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Work-related construction, general manual labor, military and equipment repair, or maintenance skills would be considered related experience
Exact job experience is considered any of the above tasks in a Medicare certified HME environment that routinely bills insurance.
Knowledge of respiratory therapy or DME services preferred.
Valid and unrestricted driver’s license from state of residence
Specialist Level: (Entry Level):
One (1) year of work-related experience

Senior Level:
One (1) year of work-related experience plus
Two (2) years exact job experience

Lead Level:
One (1) year of work-related experience plus
Four (4) years exact job experience

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Ability to perform repetitive motions of wrists, hands and/or fingers due to extensive computer use.
Work environment may be stressful at times, as overall office activities and work levels fluctuate.
Subject to long periods of sitting and exposure to computer screen.
May be exposed to hazardous materials, loud noise, extreme heat/cold, direct, or indirect contact with airborne, bloodborne, and/or other potentially infectious pathogen
May be exposed to angry or irate customers, patients, or referral sources.
Ability to utilize a personal computer and other office equipment.
Assist in pulling a patient with a weight of approximately 130 pounds to a sitting position.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds as needed.
Mental alertness to perform the essential functions of position.

Ability to work outside of normal business hours.
Requires travel throughout service area and use of personal vehicles
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written with internal and external customers with the ability to demonstrate empathy, compassion, courtesy, and respect for privacy.
Must be able to access the patient’s residence as needed.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and availability for extended hours when required.
