Depending on experience remote work is an option.We are seeking an experienced aerospace research leader to direct and grow multidisciplinary research focused on flight-in icing prediction capabilities for aircraft and propulsion systems.
The successful candidate will combine deep technical expertise in aerodynamic icing analysis and testing with demonstrated leadership as a principal investigator and program manager to execute research projects, develop strategic technology roadmaps, and maintain strong partnerships with government, industry, regulators, and academia.Position Responsibilities Provide technical and strategic leadership for a research portfolio addressing aircraft and engine icing hazards.
Serve as Principal Investigator or technical lead for developing enhanced analytic and testing methods for ice crystals and ice shape prediction.
Supports wind tunnel testing, ground testing and flight testing at local and remote facilities.
Mentor early and mid-career engineers in a multidisciplinary team to develop a talent pipeline.

POSITION PURPOSE

The Plant Manager is a change leader responsible for providing leadership and management to plant operations. Provides management oversight for the day-to-day operations and proper functioning of a plant, to include Manufacturing, Distribution, Delivery Execution, Maintenance, Sales, Environmental Health & Safety, and Purchasing. This position will support and create processes and activities within functional areas and works to support the development of new business and maintenance of current businesses. The Plant Manager ensures efficiency, safety, quality throughout the plant. They own and manage plant P&L to control costs and drive performance. They identify process improvement opportunities to drive efficiency and oversee operational performance to ensure consistent and superior customer service, while also building a strong culture that develops employees.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Achieve financial goals
- Track P&L metrics and participate in financial analysis & planning
- Assist the Market Manager to develop and manage the annual Capital expenditure, sales forecasts, P&L management for assigned plant.
- Review & approve invoices, expenses & other accounting reports as required by policy.
- Evaluates, recommends and implements capital improvement projects that contributes to increased efficiencies relative to company goals and objectives
- Track budgets and progress towards monthly / annual sales & profit targets
- Supports Market Manager by helping prepare, analyze, and reconcile financial reports in order to meet markets strategic initiatives as needed
- Discuss financial performance with Market Manager as needed define and execute plans for financial corrections.
Identify and implement improvement efforts.
- Promote a performance-driven and continuous-improvement environment for manufacturing operations. Foster innovation and creativity within the plant.
- Proactively seeks ways to improve KPI’s particularly decreasing CPU (cost per unit) and maintaining quality, efficiency and customer service.
- Evaluates manufacturing, production and logistics processes for improved efficiencies at assigned plant.
- Work with the Market Manager to provide insights on process improvement opportunities for safety, quality, delivery, production and cost reduction. Gain approval, develop plans and lead the implementation.
Manage operational plant performance.
- Responsible for all manufacturing and logistics related activities for assigned plant.
- Oversee production to ensure fulfillment of all customer orders.
- Ensure on schedule and on budget delivery.
- Assess plant performance against Operating Plans & Standards. Ensure plant performance meets area goals and exceeds customer requirements.
- Maintain the plant’s PSM\RMP and HACCP programs
- Maintain Preventive Maintenance program and make updates as needed
- Incident commander/responder in the event of Hazmat leak or spill
Management of Delivery Execution.
- Manages hiring, training, and performance of all DSD drivers as applicable either directly or in support of a Distribution Supervisor(s).
- Manages driver scheduling, delivery execution & DVM board to include DNS, SAS, OOS
- Manages performance and drive improvement in scorecard metrics.
- Ensures all deliveries are made safely and efficiently including DSD, transport and special events.
- Manages plant delivery staff including scheduling and driver check-in.
- Drives safety & compliance as a priority including DQ files, hours of service, daily vehicle inspection report and accident reporting and completion.
- Manages handheld, fuel card and fleet.
Drive a safety focused culture
- Emphasize safety programs and initiatives and assure the highest standard of safety throughout the plant and distribution centers.
- Track and monitor safety metrics and communicate these metrics to plant staff.
- Investigate & review accidents & injuries with follow-up as necessary. Ensure timely and accurate documentation is completed.
Create a positive culture that supports personnel development and growing strong talent.
- Manages staffing requirements for increased labor efficiencies to meet plant objectives.
- Establishes standards of performance including timely and accurate use of the performance management process to evaluate and communicate effectiveness and suggestions for development opportunities.
- Conduct staff meetings to communicate key information and ensure messages are cascaded down into the organization.
- Supervise, develop, and coach supervisors at the plant.
- Work with management team to support employees on their growth and development. Motivate employees to contribute at their full potential.
- Identify top talent and be a mentor and advisor for these high performing employees. Outline succession plans to identify growth opportunities for top talent.
- Coordinate the hiring and training of direct employees and interview for key positions.
- Develop and maintain a favorable employee relations environment.

- Knowledge of manufacturing & distribution capabilities, process improvements, root cause analysis, and computer skills.

POSITION PURPOSE:
Total responsibility for product delivery to customers in the most efficient and safest manner possible.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Hire, train, supervise, coach, and review all delivery employees. This includes drivers, forklift drivers,
and dock clerks.
2. Exercises safety precautions and assist with employee training to do the same.
3. Prepares monthly estimates of staffing and equipment requirements.
4. Maintains compliance documents and logs. This includes Driver Qualification files, HOS logs and
DVIRs.
5. Investigates all driver accidents and files proper paperwork.
6. Establishes or assists CSM in the most efficient routing of trucks. Schedules all employees to ensure
adequate coverage and efficient operations.
7. Ensures special deliveries are made promptly and efficiently.
8. Ensures product is delivered on a timely basis.
9. Monitors maintenance and repairs on vehicles and delivery equipment such as pallet jacks, carts, dolly,
etc. Responsible for vetting, approving and submitting for payment all invoices related to delivery
operation: Fleet, pallet jack, dock, etc.
10. Periodically checks with customers on proper merchandising.
11. Coordinates delivery of product for new accounts with management.
12. Resolves delivery problems with customers.
13. Check drivers in as necessary. Ensure all policies are followed and all monies are properly turned in
and accounted for each day.
14. Utilizes route reports as a tool to develop cost effective routes.
15. Monitors junk ice returns and follow-up with same. Ensure proper inventory control – responsible to
ensure proper transactions occur as inventory leaves and returns to the warehouse.
16. Manages the dock. Ensure appointment times are adhered to for all distributors and coordinate with
loading times of company vehicles.

Internal: Daily contact with all plant supervisor and manager, and with delivery employees.
External: Contact with customers, distributors, vendors and repair service personnel.
OPERATING RESPONSIBILITIES:
Excellent decision making abilities and judgment are required. Must be able to respond to non-routine situations with promptness and use of good business judgment. Errors could be lost customers, excessive repair costs on vehicles, overtime costs due to poor scheduling. This job is diverse and complex due to the number of duties and situations which must be handled.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position has direct supervisory responsibilities for all delivery personnel including drivers, forklift drivers and dock clerks.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma with the ability to do basic math and complete paperwork. Must have some experience in route sales, delivery and supervision. Must hold a valid CDL Class A drivers license and have an acceptable motor vehicle record. Minimum 5 years of experience managing a team of professional drivers.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Minimal travel; on-call availability, weekend and evening work may be required. Must hold a valid Class A CDL with an acceptable MVR and current medical certificate. Must be able to climb a ladder, work with light duty tools, and lift up to 40 pounds. Work is conducted in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. Unit Description: The cancer center nurse provides safe nursing care for patients in the Reddy Cancer Center by demonstrating nursing knowledge through the application of the nursing process specific to data collection, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Acts in accordance with the American Nurses Association code for nurses, follows the New York State Nurse Practice Act, and adheres to the definition and philosophy of the Alice Hyde Nursing Department. Demonstrates knowledge of principles of growth and development; advocates and practices age specific, patient focused care to include, adults, and geriatrics. Leadership abilities are demonstrated in functioning as a professional role model. Must be able to function independently within the Reddy Cancer Center. The nurse may be required to provide chemotherapy, special medical outpatient procedures, clinical coverage in radiation oncology department, and other procedures as indicated for optimum cancer care. Registered Nurses as Alice Hyde Medical Center will be working in an environment of professional growth and personal satisfaction that promotes excellence in patient care. Registered Nurses will be expected to follow through the nursing philosophy and to work within Alice Hyde Medical Center’s Mission, Vision and REACH values. Individuals will report to work in a prepared manner and will be expected to be productive and professional while in the work environment.
Qualifications
• Registered nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing.
• BSN preferred, willingness to advance education and knowledge.
• Hold current RN New York State licensure.
• Must be BLS, ACLS certified.
• Oncology Nursing Society Certification (OCN) preferred but not required. Chemo biotherapy course certification strongly preferred
Experience:
• Medical Oncology and Infusion Suite experience strongly preferred, with experience in a clinical practice setting administering chemotherapy.
As applicable, the individual has training/competency in attending to the special needs and/or behaviors appropriate to the age of patients for which care is being provided.
On-call: Not required.
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure recognized by the State of New York required.
- Appropriate experience in specific clinical area. Varies by unit.
