Position Summary

The CDL Truck Driver will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of rear load, front load, side load, and roll off trucks, while providing prompt, courteous and complete waste removal services for customers on designated routes. The Driver safely maneuvers assigned vehicle in residential or commercial environments; navigates high traffic and congested roadways, driveways, alleyways, and lots and provides excellent customer service. * Performs pre/post trip inspections of assigned vehicle in accordance with Casella safety standards as well as state and federal regulations; maintains appearance of truck in accordance with company standards.

Education, Experience & Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED, must be at least 18 years of age, hold a valid Class A or B CDL License and must be legally eligible to work in the United States. The physical ability to handle objects more than 50lbs frequently throughout the day and work under many different weather conditions is expected.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, effective listening and problem-solving skills, and dedication to providing excellent customer service is desired. It is also important that the candidate has demonstrated the ability to work as part of a team in a collaborative environment.

This position requires successful completion of pre-employment testing, including a drug screen.

  • Drive Axles: Inspect housings for leaks; Change oil and filter, if required, and clean breathers

  • Driveline: Lubricate drive line; Inspect components for wear or damage

  • Gas Engines-All Engines: Check and adjust oil levels; Identify unusual noises, and oil leaks

  • Fuel Systems: Replace and prime fuel filter; Check gas and diesel fuel system components such as fuel lines, pickup tubes, return lines, etc, for proper integrity and condition

  • Preventive Maintenance: Proper lube techniques; Minimal tire inspection; Brake check/applied stroke; Battery check; Under vehicle check/loose components; Initial Fault code identification; All PMs (PM298) including C supplements to exclude overheads, engine brake overhauls, DPF servicing, clean doser injector, servicing ArvinMeritor unitized hubs, inspect Lece Neville alternator brushes, inspect modulator system for proper operation, inspect/adjust shift selector cable, pop test Isuzu injectors

  • Steering and Non-driven Axles and Alignment: Lubricate grease fittings, check and adjust fluid levels; Check and adjust toe; Check all steering components for wear; Check and adjust trailer axle alignment; Adjust wheel bearings including replacement of wheel seal

  • Suspension-Chassis and Cab: Identify makes and models; Identify normal operation; Identify and repair minor air leaks; Identify malfunctions of basic nature, broken springs, excessive wear on bushings, etc.

  • Tire and Wheel Maintenance: Perform air pressure checks; Check tread depth; Identify tires that need to be changed or repaired; Perform tire P.M. checks; Replace tire and wheel assemblies; Mount/dismount and rotate tires; Perform tire/wheel checks/repairs per (TW298)

  • Vehicle Coupling System (PM): Lubricate fifth wheel plate and slider mechanism; Operate slider mechanism

Makes templates from flat layout masters; makes sample parts from extruded or standard formed materials where pickup and/or interpretation of information from plaster patterns; fabricates individual countour templates for use in box template setups.
Performs modification and rework of the level of difficulty of the operations described above.
PERFORMS SUCH RELATED DUTIES AS:
Fabricates shims, spacers, clamps, jig base and locator pads, ribs and other structural components. Prepares rough die stock, pipe, bar, plate and tubular stock for layout, machining, painting or inspection.
Moves, positions and helps others in handling, moving and positioning parts, dies, tools, equipment, fixtures and heavy materials as assigned; assists others in braking down setups, and returns tools and fixtures to proper sources; lays out and finishes simple templates such as individual trim, drill and bend templates, working from established references and blueprints, duplicates all types of individual templates from master layouts; cuts, fits, punches, shears and repairs templates as required; operates such machinery as saws, routers drill presses, shears, pedestal and disc grinders to perform such routine operations such as trimming, burring, sanding and drilling; performs assembly of tooling.
Paints and properly identifies and codes tooling.

The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Division offers evaluation and treatment of pediatric patients with a wide range and complexity of illnesses. We work closely with our primary care and specialty care partners. Our clinical staff includes psychiatrists, psychologists and clinical social workers. Our care continuum also includes Spring Harbor Hospital and MaineHealth Behavioral Health, a region-wide comprehensive mental health organization. MHMMCP also includes the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital, the state’s only pediatric tertiary care center and only Level 1 Trauma Center. The Emergency Department has 63 beds, including a 6-bed Acute Psychiatry Unit.

In addition to clinical care, we provide a major teaching resource for MHMMC. We train and mentor Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellows, Psychiatry residents, Pediatrics residents, Tufts University School of Medicine medical students, and Social Work and Psychology practicum students and postdoctoral fellows. We have a culture of education, with an expectation that Psychologists will apply for faculty appointment to the Tufts University School of Medicine.

This doctoral level position is responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of children and adolescents. They will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care. Must possess a valid state driver's license. Must have a valid South Carolina driver's license and commercial driver's license certification with tanker and airbrake endorsements, or the ability to obtain one. Must have a minimum Class "C" SC Voluntary Wastewater Collection License. Must possess an Asbestos III Workers license from SC LLR. The employee is required to abide by all City of Clemson, State, and Federal Safety Laws.
