THE OPPORTUNITY

This engineer will be responsible for completing the Mechanical Engineering portion of projects in support of the Plant Capital execution, as well as Plant Technical support, enabling the plant to meet its Safey, Market, Productivity, and Quality goals. They will assist project teams with pre-studies of deployment and development projects in the M.E. field. They will also complete design studies, follow procurement and fabrication of equipment and lead the installation, commissioning and startup of the equipment in an industrial plant environment. For customer projects, manages the design studies for industrial equipment installations that are necessary for the success of the Plant's capital projects. She / he will ensure adherence to the customer's specifications, local regulations, compliance of performance, and costs.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Conduct feasibility studies of functional specifications; evaluate solutions against the criteria of cost, landmarks, risks, and functionality.
  • Adhere to the quality system and established methods (risk analyses, FMEA, design reviews, quality planning, treatment of non-Conformities, etc.).
  • Acquire validation of key project milestones during the installation, start-up and ramp-up of the equipment in collaboration with team members.
  • Facilitate procurement, acceptance inspections, and maintain "as built" drawing packages for assigned material and equipment projects.
  • Create budget estimates and bid packages on assigned projects.
  • Provide project documentation: mechanical designs, technical offer, safety risk assessment, maintenance & operator training documents and user manuals.
  • Lead mechanical contractors or maintenance installation teams during equipment modifications & machine installations through start-up and commissioning.
  • Providing project support, especially during installation, start-up and ramp up phases, is often "on-site" and "hands on", and many projects include implementation schedules during holidays and shutdowns.
  • Actively support the plant with designed solutions to improve Production, Quality, Maintainability, and Safety metrics.
  • Design tooling for a critical part of the machines that make our high-quality products.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, customer service skills, and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

  • Experience with mechanical design standards; OSHA, ASME, ANSI, ISO, etc.

  • Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, piping and fittings

We are hiring a Concrete Floor Coating Technician to join our installation team. This role focuses on preparing concrete surfaces and installing professional epoxy, polyaspartic, and concrete floor coating systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.


This is a hands-on construction role ideal for someone dependable, physically capable, and motivated to learn a specialized trade in concrete coatings and epoxy flooring installation.


Experience in construction, flooring, or concrete work is helpful, but training is available for the right candidate.


Key Responsibilities


  • Prepare concrete floors through cleaning, grinding, patching, and surface preparation




  • Install epoxy flooring, polyaspartic coatings, and concrete floor systems




  • Operate equipment such as concrete grinders, floor prep tools, rollers, and mixers




  • Mix and apply coating materials following manufacturer and company guidelines




  • Lift and transport materials weighing 50100 lbs




  • Maintain safe and organized construction job sites




  • Follow all company safety standards and OSHA guidelines




  • Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects on schedule




  • Communicate professionally with team members and customers




Required Qualifications


  • Valid drivers license




  • Legal authorization to work in the United States




  • Ability to perform physical construction work including lifting, bending, kneeling, and standing

Epsilon Systems is seeking a full time Outside Machinist III for the Ship Repair Sector located in Mayport, FL. Repairs, modifies or overhauls various types of equipment or systems. Sets up and operates portable machining tools or equipment with constant supervision.

Responsibilities:

  • Reports directly to the Production Manager. Once assigned reports directly to the project Foreman in the performance of his/her responsibilities.
  • Strictly adheres to corporate, federal, state and local safety regulations prior to setting up or operating any machinery.
  • Insures that all Epsilon Systems Mission Readiness Group Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) are worn and that all damaged PPE is discarded.
  • Strictly adheres to safety, quality standards.
  • Maintains good housekeeping practices; turning off machines when not in use, disposing of waste properly, sweeping the area, etc.
  • Insures all tools listed on the \"Required Tools List\" are available for use within two weeks of your employment.
  • Insures that all requirements of the Epsilon Systems Mission Readiness Group Quality Assurance Manual are followed when invoked by QA Workbook, Work Package (WP), Work Instructions (WI) and/or other guidance given by management.
  • Notifies Foreman of any unsatisfactory condition(s) identified during the production operation (i.e.; repair, modification, etc.).
  • Follows detailed repair procedures and instructions (e.g.; QA Workbooks, Work packages steps, RECs, CWPs, FWPs, TGIs etc.) required to complete the production operations.
  • Performs as Team Member, cooperating with the efforts of other trades during an installation, modification or repair operations.
  • Performs component and/or system troubleshooting to diagnose the problem and provide most cost effective recommendation for completing repairs.
  • Performs and/or verifies mechanical alignments.
  • Insures control and assumes responsibility for Level-1 material controls in accordance with Epsilon Systems Mission Readiness Group Instructions.
  • Performs installation, repair, overhaul or modification in place or in shop to mechanical systems and components (e.g.; Valves, Actuators, Cylinders, Accumulators, Pumps, Launchers etc.).
  • Assists with the performance of on-site field service for system grooms and checkouts, minor repairs and system configuration validation.
  • Prepares and installs equipment or system alterations (e.g.; TEMPALTs, SHIPALTs, ORDALTs, etc.) IAW the directives (i.e.; instructions, drawings, MILSPECs, etc.).
  • Assists in rigging when necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma/equivalent/Apprenticeship Diploma/additional vocational courses or technical school graduate; and/or military and/or civilian experience with marine mechanical systems in a repair department or shipyard
  • 5 years' experience.
  • Has knowledge of the trade qualifications and performs as a level III Outside Machinist.
  • Must be able to understand and perform the basic set up, alignment, and operation of various portable tools and hand tools used in the trade.
  • Has working knowledge of shipboard mechanical systems (repair/installation practices, procedures, alignments and troubleshooting).
  • Must have the ability to read, understand, interpret and work from blueprints, sketches and specifications.
  • Must have experience in the disassembly, repair, installation, testing and inspection of ship machinery such as, but not limited to, propelling machinery, pumps, valves, launchers, discharge machinery, ventilation equipment, steering gear, evaporators, heaters, condensers, propulsion plants, torpedo tubes, shutter doors, antennae mast mechanical groups.
  • Ability to use such precision measuring instruments as height gauges, depth gauges, calipers, verniers, lay-out tools, tachometers, thermometers, vibration indicators
  • Possesses the ability to accurately record readings and measurements as well as complete documentation, repair, and testing of equipment.
  • Must have knowledge of rigging equipment and be able to identify damaged and/or worn equipment. Must be able to lead rigging teams in medium to larger rigging tasks.
  • Assists in rigging evolutions when necessary.
  • Communicates effectively
  • Works independently or in a group. Requires no supervision/oversight.
  • Ability to do basic math, i.e. add, subtract, divide and multiply.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
