About the role
In this role, the Medical Lab Scientist is responsible for supporting the delivery of patient care by performing laboratory testing that is utilized in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease. This includes waived, moderate and high complexity testing. *Experience with waived, moderate, and high complexity testing in a clinical laboratory setting through education or work experience required*
What you'll do
Performs all laboratory testing, including the pre-examination phase in accordance with standard operating procedures and accreditation guidelines to support the delivery of patient care.
Conducts and documents established quality control procedures on analytical tests, equipment, reagents, media, and products; evaluates the results of quality control testing and implements corrective action according to established protocols to ensure the accuracy and quality of patient testing.

The Role
The Mission Critical Center of Excellence manages billions of dollars in projects annually, specializing in data center and mission-critical construction for leading technology and telecommunications clients across the United States. Focused on fast-paced, MEP-intensive projects, the group is recognized for delivering complex solutions while offering significant opportunities for career advancement within the thriving mission-critical construction industry.
The Project Executive provides overall leadership and direction on the construction project. Typically, the Project Executive is responsible for negotiating the Owner contract, is the main contact for the Project Manager for issues concerning budget, billing and client satisfaction, and ensures the fiscal success of the project.
- Provide leadership in business judgment and all financial and profitability aspects of projects under your jurisdiction
- Participate extensively in and the work acquisition process, working to define and develop project budgets and schedules that will achieve profitability objectives taking into account project-specific challenges

Qualifications

Johns Manville is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Project Engineer to be in our Defiance, Oh fiberglass insulation manufacturing facility. This individual will have overall responsibility for directing and conducting assigned projects to maintain or improve production processes and process controls for a manufacturing location.
Responsible for installing new equipment and associated work instructions; develop schedules, budgets and forecasts; selecting materials, equipment, project resources, and contractors to ensure all aspects of the design are reviewed technically and commercially for scope, safety, quality, and functionality with guidance and support from plant engineer or divisional engineering leaders. Typical project budgets range from $100k to $4M.
Your Day to Day:
- Advise and influence business and plant management in potential application of new advances to existing plant facilities, design of new production facilities, and implement enhancements to systems and procedures.
- Develop, guide, review, and present project feasibility documents and business cases that accurately identify project benefits, risks, and returns while driving projects to completion
- Teamwork -- Embrace and support a team environment to promote good communication flow to and from employees at all levels of the organization. Collaborate with peers, operations, and maintenance departments to ensure an organized and continuous flow of project information.
- Individuals will be responsible for continued process improvement for fiberglass manufacturing equipment. Initiate solutions to improve equipment operations through troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.
- Estimate costs of an approved project, resources and time required to complete. Identify optimal technical solutions to meet the cost/performance improvements defined in the business case.
- Evaluates vendors in close cooperation with procurement to check cost/performance on the sourcing plan
- Review Mechanical and/or Electrical Controls detail engineering for all project aspects
- Ensure compliance with technical specifications and contracts for equipment and services for all aspects of projects
- Coordinate, review, provide oversight and manage external engineering resources and consultants as needed
- Develop supplier lists, bid evaluations, and make recommendations for purchasing
- Design of safe processes and specification for equipment to ensure that ergonomics are considered in designs, and potential safety hazards are identified and eliminated during project execution
- Work with environmental resources so that all permit requirements are considered and addressed in the design, and that potential environmental issues are identified and addressed during project execution
- Prepare, review, deliver, and implement necessary training for maintenance and/or operations hourly workforce regarding the project
- Work with Operations and Maintenance departments to ensure day-to-day functions of the operations with focus on HS&E, quality, production and costs.
- Collaborate with engineering and production personnel to investigate process problems to improve plant efficiencies and output.
- Ensure that all safety policies and procedures are followed, driving a zero-incident project environment
- Work with Engineering Leaders and Procurement to evaluate potential engineering firms and contractors
- Maintain effective communication with management and project customers regarding project status, problems, and changes
- Apply lean manufacturing concepts as they apply to design and project execution
- Work proactively with process engineers, production, and maintenance departments to solve process and equipment issues, and to identify improvement opportunities based on team-based reviews with coworkers.
- Follows the trends in technology and equipment design by visiting tradeshows / exhibitions and key vendors.
- May be required to perform other related duties as assigned.

- Bachelor's degree in engineering, (mechanical, electrical or chemical) with a minimum of 3 years engineering experience within an industrial or manufacturing industry

SUMMARY
We are looking for a visionary Project Manager of Building Science Knowledge systems who will manage projects that support the National Institute of Building Sciences (NIBS) ability to assemble, store, and disseminate codes, standards, performance criteria, and best practices in the built environment. Our goal is to make knowledge easier to access and understand so that buildings are safer, more efficient, and more innovative. This role will oversee multi-stakeholder projects ensuring alignment with client goals, scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards. The Project Manager will manage project team members, manage subcontractors, and ensure effective communication and knowledge transfer across the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Lead planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout of assigned projects with emphasis on building technology and innovation.
- Generate project workplans for assigned projects.
- Support defining and documenting project scope, deliverables, KPIs, and success criteria; implement control mechanisms for performance tracking.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources; Estimate to Complete (ETC), forecasting, and margin. Make recommendations for actions necessary to meet targets.
- Proactively identify, track, and mitigate tasks, project, and client relationship risks.
- Establish and enforce quality management frameworks, ensuring deliverables meet or exceed client expectations.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including architects, engineers, researchers, IT specialists, and subcontractors.
- Serve as primary client liaison, maintaining professional communication and transparent reporting.
- Oversee knowledge management practices: maintain project files, ensure accessibility of content, capture lessons learned, and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Guide stakeholder engagement activities such as workshops, webinars, and technical meetings.
- Monitor industry trends in digital codes & standards, AEC innovative solutions and integrate best practices into project delivery.
- Inform senior leaders of gaps in skills needed for project delivery.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, recommending ways to establish systematic continuous improvement as able, knowledge management plans, and change management plans as needed to support successful delivery of assigned projects.
- Ensure compliance with organizational standards, federal contracting norms, and relevant industry regulations.
- Self-manage workloads and proactively coordinate with supervisor on concerns related to workload.
- Support business development; identifying organic growth opportunities through project-based relationships.
- Demonstrate thought leadership and professional eminence by representing NIBS externally.

This position will have supervisory and direct report responsibilities. This position will also have responsibility for oversight of contracted staff.
