Position Summary:

Performs routine and moderately difficult design assignments, which require knowledge and skill in basic drafting techniques, E3D, 2D & 3D CAD software, procedures, knowledge of applicable industry standards, and design standards with minimal supervision.


Responsibilities:

Develops under minimal supervision, CADD drawings from design sketches or catalog information.

Marks up works in progress for others to draft (or CADD).

Performs related fundamental engineering support tasks such as updating computer lists, filing prints, distributing drawings, making simple calculations, proofreading reports, compiling Bills of Material, etc.

Communicates the design process with assigned discipline and coordinates work with other disciplines on assigned projects.

Checks basic layouts, designs and general arrangements of other designers and drafters for accuracy and compliance with code and company client standards and soundness of design basis used.

May utilize information from vendor prints, catalogs, technical manuals, etc. to do design work.

Field notes are neatly arranged, accurate and complete.

Sketches are readable by anyone and include all pertinent dimensions, notes and job number.

Uses time efficiently. Promptly act on established goals, understand constructive advice, and adjust to changing directions.

Performs tasks aware of the schedule requirements. Recognize that we all have internal and external customers who are dependent on the quality and timeliness of our output to meet their commitments. Coordinate assigned work to support all customers.

Summary

Plan, coordinate, and direct the Universal Avionics Repair Station Quality for Service and Reliability activities designed to ensure Quality and Service of products consistent with established standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:


1. Regulatory Compliance & Avionics Quality Oversight:

  • FAA Accountable Manager for the Universal Avionics Repair Station.
  • Maintain compliance with the FAA Drug & Alcohol Program by completing all required program activities.
  • Oversee and sustain certification approvals issued by global aviation agencies, including the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the United Kingdom Civil Aviation Authority (UK‑CAA).
  • Maintain certification approvals from Coordinating Agency for Supplier Evaluation (CASE) and aviation operational customers.
  • Manage the ongoing update and compliance activities for Repair Station Quality Control Manual (RSQCM) and Safety Management Systems manuals.
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive evaluation reports (findings, statistical analysis, root‑cause analysis, and Service Bulletin reviews) to the Certification team for FAA‑reportable events.
  • Manage updates, validation, and maintenance of the UA product line Capability List.


2. Quality Management:

  • Develop and uphold departmental objectives that align with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop, update, and maintain procedural documents within the BMS, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), and Forms.
  • Manage Repair Station inspectors engaged in quality assurance activities.
  • Actively contributes to quality management teams and provides clear, well‑structured technical and program updates to leadership.
  • Keeps management informed of significant quality issues, trends, and developments, along with the corrective actions underway to address them.


3. Training:

Design and implement quality assurance training programs approved by the FAA.


4. Internal, Regulatory and External audits:

  • Serve as the company representative during FAA, EASA, UK‑CAA, and customer audits and provides support for AS9100 external audit activities.
  • Manage internal processes to prepare for and support internal and external audits.
  • Responsible for supporting, managing, or implementing internal and external corrective actions.
  • Maintains approval certifications from AS9100 international Quality Management System (QMS) standard for the aviation, space, and defense (AS&D) industry.


5. Engineering, Customer & OEM Coordination:

  • Supports sustaining engineering efforts by partnering with Engineering to incorporate in‑service feedback into product design.
  • Investigate and resolve customer quality issues and respond to customer inquiries related to quality and reliability.
  • Serve as Repair Station Quality focal for OEM customers and Program Management.
  • Partner with Customer Service to manage warranty issues, complaints, and reliability trends.
  • Present MTBF metrics, reliability performance, and audit results to leadership and key customers.
  • Apply statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes.


6. Other:

  • Serve on the Safety Committee to support the resolution of safety incidents and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements within the Safety Management System (SMS).
  • Ensure precision measurement tools meet Calibration standards, maintain regulatory compliance, manage calibration records, and oversee tool accuracy to support airworthiness.
  • Oversee the scrap program for top‑level units, parts, and materials, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, safety standards, and efficient logistics processes.
  • Determine product acceptance and vendor continuation based on evaluation of their quality management systems and performance.
  • Qualify new subcontractors for the Repair Station in partnership with the Supplier Quality team to ensure compliance with regulatory and quality requirements.
  • Maintain current knowledge of applicable government and industry quality assurance codes, standards, and best practices.

Job Description Summary:

ACLS required, CNOR preferred. Candidate will have 3-5 years in prior Surgical Services leadership role such as Clinical Nurse Manager or Clinical Leader and 5-10 years within a main inpatient operating room setting. Strong knowledge of all Service lines including General/GYN/Robotics/Plastics/Orthopedics/Endoscopy/Spine/Urology with financial and operational acumen. Recent circulating room experience and scrubbing.

This position ensures the delivery of evidence-based practice by professional nursing personnel and other staff in the designated area of responsibility. They are responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating the delivery of evidence-based patient care in a cost effective manner. The Manager operationalizes the Nursing Philosophy along with the mission, vision, values, goals and objectives of OhioHealth. They are accountable and responsible for administrative and fiscal management of the department and in meeting the goals in all four quadrants of the balanced scorecard at the unit/department level. In addition, they will contribute significantly to the overall goals and objectives of the organization.

Responsibilities And Duties:

50% Patient Care:
1. Assists the Manager in accountability for ongoing delivery of patient care in area(s) of responsibility; assures application of the nursing process by Registered Nurses in the clinical setting (assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation); assures documentation of patient care in the medical record.Β  Addresses concerns and resolves problems.Β  Uses data from various sources to initiate continuous quality improvement within the department/unit.Β  Coordinates nursing care in collaboration with other healthcare disciplines and assists in integrating services across the continuum of health care.Β  Ensures nursing practice in a safe environment.Β  Participates in process improvement activities and root cause analysis investigations.Β  Assists the Manager with fiscal responsibility at the unit level.Β

Summary of Job Content: Perform daily maintenance activities as assigned by supervision/manager/planner-scheduler.

Troubleshoot mechanical issues and repair according to plant/vendor standards.

Read and comprehend mechanical drawings, blue prints and diagrams.

Install and maintain mechanical systems and equipment.

Complete pertinent documentation as required for recording of calibrations, daily work performance and PMs.

Understand mechanical components and systems with the ability to utilize this knowledge to maintain, analysis malfunctions and assimilate proper plan and repairs as required throughout the facility.

Perform any other duties, as required by the department supervisor or manager, to support department, plant and company objectives and/or goals.

Core Dimensions: Read, understand and follow work order instructions.

Communicate with management and supervision to understand scope and desired outcome of repairs, projects and assigned tasks.

Perform repairs in a professional, efficient manner, bringing the equipment back into manufacturer and plant specific operational standards while observing all safety procedures to include LOTO, fall protection standards, confined space requirements, as well as appropriate PPE for atmosphere and area of work being performed.

Utilize task specific mechanical equipment Perform math functions including, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and trigonometry; convert fractions to decimals, as required to execute assigned tasks.

Perform preventive maintenance in accordance with technical manuals and/or SAP work order task lists.

Assist with inventory and cost control through proper utilization of parts and materials.

Complete all required paperwork accurately to include work orders, time cards, material sign out cards, etc.

Familiarize new millwrights on plant equipment, sharing knowledge and developing best practices throughout the job classification.

Proficiency in plant specific millwright tasks to include fabrication procedures, bearing installation and applications, monitoring and troubleshooting mechanical components of overhead cranes and production equipment, proper lubrication techniques, equipment installation procedures, and proper utilization and sizing, installation of mechanical fasteners.

Attend, contribute to and pass required training as related to the general maintenance at this facility in accordance with OSHA regulations.
