Job Summary : As a Manual/CNC Machinist at PRL, you will be responsible for operating various manual/CNC horizontal or vertical milling/boring machines and lathes. Job Qualifications :

Skills : Ability to use manual machine tools (set-ups, machine positioning, etc.), read and interpret blueprints, and use various measuring tools. Knowledge of shop math, trigonometry, and geometric dimensioning/tolerancing is essential. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and read/write in English. Ability to function independently with minimal supervision.
Job Duties and Responsibilities :
1. Set up and operate a variety of manual and/or CNC machines in a productive, quality, and safe manner, following a reasonable training period. Use hand tools and measuring tools.
2. Use CNC machines, including familiarity with G and M programming codes, and the ability to make minor program edits at the machine.
3. Demonstrate knowledge of correct speeds, feeds, work holding methods, cutting tools, and cutting tool materials and shapes, print/drawing interpretation, routine equipment and machine maintenance, and measuring/finishing methods.
4. Machine parts to within tolerances as close as .0002\".
5. Participate in the design of jigs and fixtures for machining parts.
6. Follow verbal and written instructions, sketches, and blueprints. Communicate with co-workers in both verbal and written form, and advise others without written procedures.
7. Operate forklift trucks, overhead cranes, and hand/floor trucks as needed.
8. Verify that the information on the documents corresponds with the parts. Record the information following the instructions. Maintain accurate records of work performed, as requested.

10. Work independently with limited supervision required, generally limited to work scheduling, supply needs, clarification of confusing instructions, and direct/indirect needs as may arise.

Position Objective: Responsible for engineering documentation including blueprint reading and GD&T tolerances. Develop, optimize and maintain machine processes in a fast-paced production shop. Responsibilities include CAD design, CNC programming, creation of tool list, setup and part finishing documents. CNC equipment includes but is not limited to CNC turning centers with live tooling, CNC mills/lathes, lasers, CNC turret punches, and other computer operated equipment.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Work from customer's drawings and solid models to create, optimize and maintain CNC programs primarily for processing turned parts
- Must have a working knowledge of GD&T, fundamentals of geometry and trigonometry. Ability to transition between SI and metric units. Proper use of various measuring tools including Vernier calipers, micrometers, tread gages, etc.
- Create manufacturing processes and programming in a timely manner to support production schedules and customer delivery dates.

Your Challenge:
- Verify machine setups using various inspection devices.
- Inspect simple manufacturing tooling such as cutting tools, assembly fixtures, and machining fixtures.
- Inspect characteristics associated with the weld process and inspect base material using various inspection equipment.
- Perform liquid penetrant and visual inspection in accordance with ASNT SNT-TC-1A and NAVSEA-250-1500.

Principal Duties/Responsibilities:
* Travels to customer site for calibration, repair, and technical support when necessary.
* Reads quality control manual and testing specifications to obtain data to test or calibrate specific devices.
* Selects and installs accessories, such as adapters, indicating gauges, or holding devices on test or calibration fixture, and connects the instrument or device to the fixture, according to specifications, using hand tools.
* Sets controls to regulate factors, such as current flow, timing cycle, pressure, temperature, or vacuum, according to specifications, and activates test or calibration equipment.
* Observes readings on meters and gauges, and other displays and performance of device or instrument to identify functional defects and determine calibration requirements.
* Adjusts calibration mechanisms to obtain specified operational performance of device or instrument, using hand tools and precision measuring and calibrating instruments and equipment.
* Applies sealing compound on calibration mechanism to prevent readjustment of settings and loss of calibration.
* Rejects malfunctioning devices and routes devices to specified departments for rework or salvaging of parts.
* Prepares calibration certificates and data reports.
* Processes required service report paperwork.
* Interacts with other departments and personnel to resolve any related issues.
* Assists in creation of calibration procedures as necessary.
* Evaluates calibration/repair jobs.
* Assists in developing new product capabilities and standards.
* Performs necessary database maintenance.
* May disassemble the instrument or device to determine the cause of defective operation and notify supervisory personnel of findings.
* Participates in Service/Quality Initiative; continually improves processes; quantitatively monitors processes. Completes required quality core classes and uses skills and techniques presented. Uses the Core Values in work environment. Adheres to company/customer safety procedures.

Summary:
Responsible to focus exclusively on the workplace product line and to primarily directly sell local office moving.
Key Responsibilities include:
Research Local Market and develop a market strategy based on market dynamics and Suddath strengths
Develop rapport and credibility with the top 10 MAC prospects in the local market and position Suddath for the next sourcing cycle
Self generate qualified office moving project leads. Directly pursue self-generated leads in a timely manner. Track lead lifecycle and report progress as required.
Directly pursue qualified leads from the SWS business development department in an effective and timely manner.

Effectively identify prospect needs and develop solutions around client needs, goals and objectives
On average present proposals totaling at least 11.52% of annual production goal every two weeks

Follow proposal and marketing standards to ensure workplace brand consistency
Follow all company standards for RFP, RFI, contracting and pricing requests

Develop and follow a focused local participation strategy for select trade associations
