The Supervisor of Ride Maintenance assists in performing and leading assigned Union crew of mechanics in monitoring, maintenance and repair of rides and attractions as assigned. Performs related duties as required.
Responsibilities:
- Assists in performing and leading assigned crew in monitoring, maintenance and repair of rides and attractions as assigned. Performs related duties as required.
- Supervises subordinate crew members with the assistance of the foreperson. Supervisory duties include training, scheduling, direct instruction, assigning, reviewing and planning work, maintaining standards, coordinating activities, allocating personnel, and takes corrective action on employee issues. Timekeeping of employee schedules with in the Cedar Point timekeeping system.
- Reviews the work of subordinates for effectiveness and efficiency; Establishes and maintains a professional, trained, and motivated staff through effective implementation of performance and development programs. Uses effective communication to ensure all understand the expectations of the department. Utilizes company guidelines to hold those accountable when necessary.
- Develops and implements short/long range ride maintenance/repair plans. Assists in performing winter overhaul and year-long preventive maintenance of assigned rides/vehicles. Assists in monitoring, troubleshooting and repairing rides/vehicles during operating season. Keeps Area Manager informed of all maintenance problems/areas of concern. Assists other departments on repairs/maintenance projects as appropriate.
- Assists Area Manager in preparing department budget. Assists with ordering parts and materials as needed, ensuring compliance with the budgetary allocations. Assists in maintaining adequate inventory.
- Ensures the proper maintenance and safe operating condition of all assigned equipment. Conducts safety meetings and safety inspections of equipment. Receives and responds to inquiries, concerns and complaints from associates and guests regarding ride safety and maintenance.
- Hires candidates for open positions to effectively and strategically grow the assigned team. Ensures the new hire has the knowledge and resources to perform their job to the best of their ability.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Vocational/technical training preferred.
- 1-3 years of supervisory/leadership experience.
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of industrial electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatic systems. Ability to use meters, gauges, measuring devices, cutting torch, mechanic's tools, various other hand and power tools.
- Preferred knowledge in Microsoft Office, Maintenance Connection, UKG, and JDE.
- Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.

• Develops and administers a uniform concept of management ensuring that personnel within each of the divisions possess a comprehensive understanding of assigned responsibilities.
• Coordinates all bus and rail maintenance operations activities to insure peak service levels are met twice a day.
• Responsible for maintaining sufficient security levels in order to protect customers, employees and facilities.
• Meets and interfaces with the public and the media as well as various levels of management from other transit jurisdictions and representatives from various governmental agencies and develops and fosters relationships which will be beneficial to the Authority.
• Keeps Chief Transit Officer, Mechanical Officers and General Managers apprised of information and performance indicators relative to special projects, plans and programs as assigned.
• Keeps abreast of new developments and advancements within the areas of Bus and Rail Maintenance.
• Hires, trains, develops, monitors, and evaluates performance of staff.
Reviews and recommends personnel actions for approval.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Requires sitting for extended periods of time, standing, visual acumen, manual dexterity, and fingering for working with computer keyboards.
• Must be capable of walking elevated structures and rail yards.
• Must be able to work around energized 600 volt DC electrical current, moving trains and equipment.

Key Responsibilities Represent the organization with professionalism when interacting with residents, vendors, contractors, and team members.
Complete interior and exterior maintenance requests, including: Plumbing, electrical, heating, carpentry, and general repairs Preventative maintenance on boilers, water heaters, and mechanical systems Window, door, floor, and wall repairs Painting, drywall repair, and minor construction Grounds care, landscaping, snow removal, and debris pick up Equipment lubrication, filter changes, and thermostat calibration Perform routine inspections of units, buildings, grounds, and safety equipment.
Participate in 24 hour on call emergency maintenance rotation.
Maintain compliance with LSS, HUD, REAC, WHEDA, Michigan Multifamily Asset Managers, and local code requirements.
Monitor vendor work and report issues to leadership.
Follow purchasing procedures and stay within approved expense limits.
Complete unit turnovers/make readies as needed.
May perform additional tasks such as janitorial equipment operation, inventory management, safety drills, vehicle/equipment maintenance, or event space setup.
Qualifications Required High school diploma or GED preferred Two (2) years of experience in general building and grounds maintenance preferred Strong knowledge of: Building systems, repair procedures, and maintenance tools Plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building codes Ability to read blueprints and follow federal, state, and local regulations Ability to perform heavy manual labor and operate maintenance equipment Strong communication and teamwork skills Licenses & Certifications Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Must meet organizational motor vehicle (MVR) and auto insurance requirements Must pass all background, caregiver, and medical screenings as required Physical Demands & Work Environment Regular standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying up to 100 lbs Exposure to outdoor weather, household allergens, fumes, dust, and moderate noise Work occurs across multiple locations including apartments, offices, and program sites Travel Primarily local day travel; occasional overnight travel may be required Why Join Us? About the position...
The Lead Maintenance Technician is responsible for overseeing the maintenance of assigned Triple Crown residential properties. This role includes managing and delegating tasks to maintenance team members while collaborating closely with leasing office personnel to ensure the community remains organized, well-maintained, and welcoming for residents. We are looking for a technician at our Enclave community located in Harrisburg.
- Schedule maintenance projects and day-to-day duties of maintenance team members.
- Schedules and monitors vendor/subcontractor performance, purchase orders, invoices, and enforces contractual standards and timelines.
- Effectively communicates with the Property Manager and office staff, keeping them up to date on major repairs, turnover status, etc.
- Responsible for preparing apartments prior to resident occupancy and participates in maintenance projects/work orders as needed.
- Completion of property work orders, including but not limited to light electrical repairs, plumbing work, drywall repairs, light carpentry work, and painting.
- Replace broken glass, tile, carpet, screens, disposals, fixtures, appliances.
- Maintain and coordinates pool maintenance as needed.
- Leads and supports professional development and performance management to build a high-performing, service-oriented culture.
- Responsible for hiring, terminations, and discipline as needed.
- Maintains maintenance shop and stock control to ensure utilization of materials, organization, and tidiness.
- Ensure residents are provided with a clean, safe, and well-maintained community.
What we are looking for from you...
- Must have a valid Driver’s License, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance
- Minimum of 4 years of Residential Maintenance experience required
- Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience in Property Management is required
- Ability to work rotational on-call schedule and act as the primary contact for property emergencies as needed
- Proficient in the use of technology, including but not limited to tablets, smartphones, computers/laptops
- Must be a strong team player and can work independently or with others on assigned tasks
- Safety Oriented - OSHA Certification is highly preferred but not required
- HVAC/EPA Certification is highly preferred but not required
- Must posses excellent attention to detail and organizational/time management skills
- Ability to be a team leader and mentor others
- Must possess all tools needed to perform service duties
