Job Purpose

Supervise, coordinate, track and report the activities of all maintenance personnel for assigned Business Unit and shift focusing first and foremost on safety and secondly on working with production to minimize downtime.   1. Direct Dana employees and contract workers engaged in repairing and maintaining mechanical/electrical parts, equipment and machines in accordance with designs, diagrams, operating manuals and specifications following all Dana safety policies and procedures.
  2. Assist in downtime analysis to increase uptime and develop preventive and predictive maintenance programs for more efficient plant operations.

Position Summary:

The Maintenance Technician II is a mid-level role responsible for independently handling plant maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and managing parts and repair schedules. This role ensures the long-term health and reliability of production equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform regular preventive maintenance on conveyors, motors, screens, and heavy equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and minor electrical issues.
- Prioritize repair needs and communicate status with management.
- Maintaining MaintainX systems and managing inventory levels.
- Oversee and coordinate with subcontractors when necessary.
- Support training and development of entry-level maintenance team members.

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Assistant Maintenance Manager to join our team. In this role, support the Maintenance Manager in overseeing maintenance operations, ensuring that all equipment and facilities are functioning efficiently. - Schedule groundskeeping as needed including mowing, trimming, spraying, snowplowing, and general site upkeep.
- Oversee maintenance on most plant processing equipment including routine and preventative maintenance.
- Schedule and order supplies as needed for new equipment installs and oversee site during installs.
- Making sure all exterior and interior repairs are scheduled or completed as needed
- Ensure all plant processes are operating mechanically to plant standards and expectations
- Assist in planning of new equipment installs
- Conduct bi-weekly safety meetings with maintenance personnel on various topics and document meetings with signatures from all attendees.
- Perform any disciplinary action of maintenance employees as needed, along with scheduling and approving vacations and all other personnel issues.
- Must pass all tests and verifications for: LOTO, pallet jack, forklift, scissor lift, Ammonia system, confined spaces, and electrical safety (Arc flash)
- Must possess a “hands on” approach with maintenance staff
