Stable and successful Central Illinois grain company is seeking a hands-on Grain Operations Manager to lead the operations at a key truck and rail elevator location and assist in Regional Management.
Responsibilities will include housekeeping, preventative maintenance, grain drying, conditioning and quality, and restaging grain for shipments along with supervising a team of operations staff. There will be a well-seasoned Regional Manager present to assist with the initial learning curve and ongoing mentoring.
The ideal candidate will pay attention to detail, have hands-on grain operations experience, and enjoy being active around the elevator. You will be able to identify, troubleshoot, and investigate problems that arise and deal with them appropriately, such as blending damaged grain, and have the maturity, patience, and desire to work hard to consistently learn, grow, and better yourself over time to prepare for taking on additional roles and responsibilities.

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Production Supervisor is responsible for the entire production process, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our frozen and refrigerated production facility. This role requires strong leadership abilities, excellent organizational skills, and a deep understanding of food production systems and regulations with a flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of the production team when assistance is needed. The supervisor will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive productivity, optimize resources, and maintain strict adherence to quality control measures. Manage all aspects of the frozen production, scope development, cost estimates and schedule. Follow and implement all safety protocol and processes. Schedules and prioritizes jobs, managing inventories to meet customer demands. Maintains excellent communication with all departments.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work 12 hour rotating day/night shifts.
• Extensive knowledge of frozen food manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of food production processes, quality control systems, and relevant regulations (e.g., HACCP)

Responsibilities:
1. Directs food operations product manufacturing as well as following/implementing all safety protocol processes.
2. Develops and monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure production performance. Analyze data, identify trends, and take corrective actions as necessary to ensure targets are met.
3. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including quality assurance, maintenance, logistics, and warehouse to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of production activities.
4. Resolves all food production and quality problems that occur.
5. Flexible work schedule to assist the production team.
6. Supervises food operators for shift operations
7. Lead and supervise a team of production staff, providing coaching, guidance, and training as needed. Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
8. Maximizes food production and quality, and delivery of product delivery logistics.
9. Continuously assess production processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize workflows.
10. Promotes good environmental stewardship and maintains frozen food environmental equipment per guidelines.
11. Keeps management informed of food operations, maintenance, safety, and employee concerns/issues.
12. Anticipates and determines causes of delays in shift operations and takes appropriate action to meet production schedules.
13. Monitors food inventories.
14. Complies and enforces the rules and procedures relating to industrial safety Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Master Sanitation Plan and safety.
15. Supervises training of employees in operations, safety, quality standards, GMP’s and HACCP procedures.
16. Completes daily duties in a manner that maintains compliance and seeks out opportunities for improvement within IGCs Safety and Quality program.
Requirements:
• Bachelor degree in Food Science, Food Industry Management, or related field. (Preferred);
Associate’s degree (Required).
• Minimum two (2) years in supervisory positions employees and food manufacturing
processes or in positions of similar nature and complexity. Experience in operation of automated
frozen food machinery. (Required).
• Subject to varying seasonal temperature changes within the plant and exposure to
environmental dust.
• Must wear protective head, hands, face, ears and or other body gear as required.
• May work on computers or other operational equipment usually works on projects with
maintenance department.
Certifications:

This job is primarily responsible for working at a facility that loads and unloads barges and trucks. This is a general laborer position that performs a wide variety of duties that are based on the daily needs of the operation; may include cleaning and repair of barges.
In this job, you will:
Actual responsibilities will vary depending on daily needs and type of facility.
- Fully participate in the company Safety Program and attends daily pre-shift meetings.
- Perform all duties within compliance of OSHA, company safety, and environmental regulations (ISO where applicable); including wearing appropriate PPE for task being performed.
- Perform deckhand responsibilities e.g., reading drafts, opening/closing lids, tying off barges, etc.
- Perform all barge loading duties e.g., loading barges to meet draft and quality requirements and oversees deckhand(s). Note: Generally the duty of the most highly qualified person(s).
- Perform duties to transfer, load and move grain to appropriate location, where applicable.
- Perform duties required to maintain grain quality while being stored and/or transferred.
- Complete documentation timely, accurately and legibly.
- Perform general clean-up including sweeping, shoveling, washing, painting and other general housekeeping responsibilities.
- Perform preventative maintenance and/or repairs, where applicable.
- Dependent on facility and location, may be responsible for any variety of the following; unloading barges, cleaning barges, movement of product to storage, loading of trucks using heavy equipment, loading of rail, loading of products to required specifications; operating, running, monitoring, and shutting down dryer; operating a variety of heavy equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.

The expected base pay range for this role is:
$17.50 - $20.00

This job is primarily responsible for the oversight of and directing staff performing tasks involved in stevedoring activities (e.g. unloading/loading of barges and sea going vessels), as well as, advising and directing operations. Responsibilities primarily focused on working with a team to ensure safe, efficient and profitable operations.
In this job, you will:
- Fully participate in the company Safety Program; attend and lead pre-shift meetings; lead, monitor, coach and guide staff on safety to ensure activities performed are in accordance with the company safety program.
- Perform all duties within compliance of OSHA, company safety and environmental regulations; to include wearing the appropriate PPE for task being performed.
- Oversee and direct staff performing tasks in all barge and vessel processes (e.g. remove barge covers, load and unload commodities, etc.) to ensure efficient operations while loading and discharging vessels, while remaining in compliance with state and federal regulations; involves making independent decisions on various processes and procedures during shift.
- Lead, coach, and guide staff on customer service and operating costs.
- Manage staff performing barge and vessel loading/unloading safety procedures; assist in analyzing workload of all areas and assign or reassign personnel as needed.
- Communicate with vessel officers and marine fleets to ensure efficiencies are met for loading/unloading production.
- Regularly update Terminal Manager of operations status to include delays/production/Safety infractions or other hazards.
- Assist with managing inventory for equipment and supplies; ensure all are at adequate levels at all times.
- Oversee housekeeping duties in crane, on deck and load/unload areas.
- Ensure that all documentation and reports are accurately completed and in a timely manner, including required Safety correspondence in Cooperwork, daily logs and payroll time sheets.
- Communicate with customers and third parties in a professional manner, as required.
- Work with managers and provide input (which management gives particular weight to) into staffing and job development activities (training, employee corrective actions, pay raises, etc.); to develop, communicate and manage individual staff performance expectations that align with company goals.
- Manage equipment and labor expenses.

Education
Required High school diploma or equivalent experience and training.

Required - 5 years' experience in stevedoring/marine industry; experience with management and customer relations.

Position OverviewThe Head Distiller / Director of Operations will be responsible for leading all distillation, production, and operational functions of the distillery. This includes recipe development, production planning, quality control, barrel management, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.
This role will partner closely with ownership to build and scale Koltiska Distillery into a premier spirits business rooted in the heritage and landscape of Sheridan and the Bighorn Mountains.
The ideal candidate combines technical distillation expertise with strong operational leadership—someone who can craft exceptional spirits while also designing systems and processes that support growth in production, distribution, and hospitality.
Key Responsibilities· Lead all distillation and production operations including mashing, fermentation, distillation, aging, and bottling
· Develop and refine recipes for whiskey, bourbon, rye, and other craft spirits
· Oversee quality control processes to ensure consistency and excellence in all products
· Manage production scheduling and capacity planning
· Design and implement standard operating procedures across the distillery
