Agents are set up for success by being assigned a territory (called an agency) with an established book of business and existing customers.

Day-to-Day Activities:

  • Conducting sales presentations, recommending products, and closing new sales

Summary:

Responsible for the proper maintenance and sanitization of all silos, milk lines, cream lines, blend lines, whey lines, separators and cream tanks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned

  1. Manually disassembles and cleans samplers, activators and valves.
  2. Checks and replaces worn gaskets and o-rings.
  3. Replaces QMI samplers when needed, not less than once per week.
  4. Ensures silo's are inspected and initialed before reassembling. Check titrations document.
  5. Empties and washes silos every 72 hours.
  6. Cleans whey separators with a wash daily.
  7. Assures whey and cream samples are at the laboratory as scheduled every two hours.
  8. Cleans all milk, cream, whey, and blend lines at the end of each day.
  9. Checks with Supervisor for silo rotation for pasteurization.
  10. Maintains tank room ensuring cleanliness. Hoses rolled up, sanitizes pipes and ports capped.

Lactalis USA, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Cheesemaker Trainee based in Buffalo, New York.

Summary: Responsible for the production of high-quality consistent product and correct kettle/processor formulation.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Produces high quality products in a consistent manner.

2. Ensure proper volumes of each raw material are entered into the kettles/processors.

3. Ensures proper pH is achieved in all kettles/processors.

4. Appropriately monitors and controls drain speeds.

5. Ensures proper moistures have been reached by checking moisture of every lot prior to sending it to packaging.

6. Maintains all proper documentation including recording charts, cheese-making log sheets, etc.

7. Inform supervisor of any production issues.

8. Ensures proper sampling of raw material, preblend, and whey.

9. Cleans and sanitizes equipment and lines.

10. Ensures homogenizers are at proper pressures.

11. Documents mass meter numbers where necessary.

12. Maintains a clean and sanitary work area.

13. Is aware of and practices Plant's Good Manufacturing

14. Practices (GMP) as well as Good Sanitation Practices (GSP).

15. Upholds all rules pertaining to confidentiality of information regarding Sorrento products and recipes

Summary: Operate a fork truck in a safe and responsible manner. Performs functions directly related to a manufacturing facility. Perform shipping and receiving functions as well as computer transactions daily.

Qualifications:
1.\tExperienced forklift operation knowledge, perishable and dry goods warehouse experience preferred. 2.\tDocuments safety checks on tow motor prior to use.3.\tEnsures accurate documentation of all inbound paperwork.4.\tCompletes activity movement sheets daily.5.\tRotates stock in a FIFO format.6.\tSelects the proper product for production needs.7.\tMaintains a clean work environment daily.8.\tMaintains and operates the RF terminals daily. 9.\tPerforms monthly physical inventories as designated by the corporate staff, and performs cycle counts with the department manager.10.\tWorks closely with the production and packaging departments. 11.\tMaintains open communication between fellow workers. 12.\tStrong communication abilities, written and verbal. 13.\tKnowledge of computer software, inventory control, cycle counts, and FIFO systems formats preferred. 14.\tAS400 Prism knowledge a plus.
