JOB DUTIES: Welding in a variety of environments with differing equipment.

Senior Safety Manager – Mission Critical (Lead, Hyperscale Data Center Brownfield)

Reports To: Project Director / Director of Construction Operations (dotted line to Corporate Safety)
Role Summary
We’re hiring a Senior Safety Manager to lead our site safety team and own safety performance for a brownfield hyperscale data center project in Boydton, VA. This is a senior, field-first leadership role working in/around live critical infrastructure, where disciplined planning, access control, and high-risk work controls are essential. You will set expectations, coach supervisors and subcontractors, and drive a proactive safety culture that protects people, schedule, and operations.
This role may be filled by a traveler. If traveling, the company will provide a company credit card and cover all approved travel expenses (lodging, meals, rental car/vehicle, fuel, flights as needed, and incidentals) per company policy.
Leadership Responsibilities (Safety Team Lead)
- Lead, coach, and develop the project safety team (Safety Managers/Coordinators) and set daily/weekly field coverage.
- Establish the site’s safety rhythm: onboarding, field walks, audits, corrective actions, reporting cadence, and subcontractor accountability.
- Serve as the primary safety point of contact with the client/GC, ensuring alignment to mission critical standardsand scorecards.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain the Site Safety Plan aligned to client requirements, OSHA, and company standards.
- Own safety execution in a brownfield environment: phasing, shutdown windows, access controls, escorts, and strict change control.
- Lead planning and controls for high-risk activities, including:
- LOTO / energized work coordination (interface with electrical leadership and client procedures)
- Hot work, confined space, crane & rigging, working at heights, trenching/excavation, concrete operations
- Material handling and equipment movement in tight operating corridors; temporary protection/barriers
- Implement and enforce permit-to-work and JHA/AHA processes; verify task planning before crews start.
- Conduct incident and near-miss investigations; drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Manage subcontractor safety performance: expectations, audits, trend reviews, and consequences for repeat non-compliance.
- Deliver training and engagement: orientations, toolbox talks, supervisor coaching, and targeted refreshers.
- Maintain safety documentation and reporting: inspections, action tracking, client reporting, and leadership updates.
- Partner with construction, QA/QC, and commissioning teams to align safety gates with major milestones (energization, startup, IST).
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years safety leadership in construction; mission critical/data center experience strongly preferred (brownfield/live site a major plus).
- Demonstrated ability to lead a safety team and influence multi-trade field execution.
- Strong OSHA construction knowledge and practical expertise controlling high-risk work.
- Excellent communication and field presence—able to coach, correct, and hold teams accountable.
Preferred Certifications
- OSHA 30 (required or obtained quickly); OSHA 510/500 a plus
- CHST or CSP preferred
- Experience with client-driven permit systems and energized work coordination
- Familiarity with safety software/tools (Procore, SafetyCulture/iAuditor, etc.)

About the Role: UPS Industrial Services is seeking skilled and experienced Boilermakers to join our team. The ideal candidates will be based locally in the Chalmette, LA area, possess extensive experience and proficiency in the trade, and demonstrate the ability to interpret and work from blueprints, plans, and other technical drawings. - Be proficient in the testing of assembled vessels by pumping water or gas under specified pressure into vessels and observing the vessels and instruments for evidence of leakage.
Job Duties & Essential Functions: :
- Read blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of work, locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required.
- Use knowledge of towers/columns, exchangers, boilers, heaters, reactors, drums, fin fans, pressure vessels, and other industrial equipment to perform duties
- Properly select and use manual, pneumatic, and electric tools according to tasks
- Hoist equipment and tools into location via bull rigging or crane.
- Repair and replace trays and other internal components
- Perform or assist with pulling bundles
- Repair and replace boiler tubes
- Fabricate equipment according to blueprints or instruction from Supervision
- Verify vertical and horizontal alignment of structural-steel members, using plumb bobs, laser equipment, transits, and/or levels.
- Connect columns, beams, and girders with bolts, following blueprints and instructions from supervisors.
- Bolt align structural-steel members in position for permanent riveting or bolting.
- Able to properly bolt and torque components according to equipment specifications
- Pull, push, or pry iron/steel equipment into approximate positions for bolting into place.
- Cut, bend, and weld iron/steel pieces, using metal shears, torches, and welding equipment.
- Help maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Perform all other duties as required
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years Boilermaker experience in Industrial or Petrochemical setting
- NCCER certification a plus
- Knowledge of building codes, industry standard concepts, practices, and procedures.
- May be required to pass a craft test

Role Summary
The Superintendent will help plan, manage and execute all aspects of assigned projects. This position will be responsible for managing material and equipment, assisting with people management, ensuring documentation is complete and meeting project goals to achieve timely and profitable completion of each project. SUPERINTENDENT FAMILY - CORE
- Leads all aspects of the company’s safety culture and creates awareness by demonstrating commitment to an injury-free environment through individual actions and mentoring others. Investigates safety incidents and retrains staff and needed.
- Provides management of subcontractors and organization of the overall job and workflow.
- Manages and oversees company staff, subcontractors, suppliers and programs such as Safety, Quality and EEO for a small project or a major portion of a larger project.
- Develops work plans for subcontractors and self-performed work.
- Coordinates and manages the care, custody and control of the project site.
- Leads various meetings including daily standup and weekly trade meetings.
- Attends, manages and participates in appropriate progress and/or project OAC meetings.
- Creates, manages, changes and implements the project’s schedule as needed, in conjunction with the Project Manager.
- May be responsible for tracking and monitoring project budget and costs by using the project management system’s cost reports and data from the project manager
- Communicates key project information to owners, design team, governing authorities, subcontractors, suppliers and other departments.
- Follows the project filing and documentation organization system as dictated for the project. Updates drawings, logs, diaries and inspection notebooks.
- Approves and/or records unit cost information for weekly reports and completes daily reports, logs and tracking reports.
- Evaluates progress on self-perform work and make adjustments as needed.
- Manages material and equipment needs for the project.
- Supports the MOC (Material and Other Costs) and DLSC (Dunn Logistics Service Center) procurement and approval processes.
- Assists in the selection of the formwork, tools and equipment necessary to complete self-perform operations.
- Manages timecard approval process to ensure reporting of accurate hours and proper cost codes.
- Ensures quality compliance through use of specifications, setting quality standards, in–house QA/QC and outside resources.
- Supports the project closeouts by supervising pre-punch activities and coordinating activities with the owner, architect and governing authorities.
- Gains understanding of the project pursuit process and methodology.
- Participates with the field operations leadership and the project team to put together a project pre plan; implements, monitors and adjusts as needed throughout the project lifecycle.
- Partners with field leadership to establish field staffing for their assigned project.

- Participates in the negotiation process with the owner and architect to gain agreement for project changes.

The Safety Manager administers project safety programs to maintain a safe and healthy work environment. They may be responsible for one project or multiple small projects. This role would report to a Senior Safety Manager or Regional Safety Director and potentially manage Safety Coordinators and Field Safety Specialists. WHAT YOU’LL DO:

- Direct comprehensive, in-depth investigations of all injury and loss incidents, identify all causal factors, develop and implement measures to prevent recurrences, and follow up to ensure long-term resolution.

- Act as an advisor to the company management team and customer agencies to ensure safety requirements are identified, communicated to employees, and fulfilled.
- Manage the assigned project’s safety program budget, planning, acquiring, controlling, and distributing all safety equipment, supplies, and training aids.
- Develop and review the site safety plan for the project.
- Contribute to project start-up meetings.
- Review of the three-week look ahead for the project.
- Ensure a crisis management plan is implemented for projects and facilities.

Responsible for designing, building and executing a best-in-class training system for our production workers. This position will create and maintain a standardized approach to production technical training to ensure safety, technical competence and enhanced skill development for our employees, documenting proper training materials, reporting on training progress and making recommendations to enhance the program.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provides new hires with a one-on-one learning experience.
- Designs and develops production training programs in all production areas.
- Identify and implement the appropriate training methods or activities to ensure program is effective.
- Assesses program effectiveness and determine the impact of training on employee skills
- Ensures all trainees are capable of producing a product that meets recognized standards and customer expectations.
- May provide remedial and supplemental training to employees to assist them in learning proper job function(s), safe work habits or cross training.
- Advises management team on training opportunities as observed and develop action plan as appropriate.
- Gathers feedback from trainees to ensure training effectiveness and acts independently to improve training process.

Epsilon Systems is seeking a full time Outside Machinist III for the Ship Repair Sector located in Mayport, FL. Repairs, modifies or overhauls various types of equipment or systems. Sets up and operates portable machining tools or equipment with constant supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Reports directly to the Production Manager. Once assigned reports directly to the project Foreman in the performance of his/her responsibilities.
- Strictly adheres to corporate, federal, state and local safety regulations prior to setting up or operating any machinery.
- Insures that all Epsilon Systems Mission Readiness Group Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) are worn and that all damaged PPE is discarded.
- Strictly adheres to safety, quality standards.
- Maintains good housekeeping practices; turning off machines when not in use, disposing of waste properly, sweeping the area, etc.
- Insures all tools listed on the \"Required Tools List\" are available for use within two weeks of your employment.
- Insures that all requirements of the Epsilon Systems Mission Readiness Group Quality Assurance Manual are followed when invoked by QA Workbook, Work Package (WP), Work Instructions (WI) and/or other guidance given by management.
- Notifies Foreman of any unsatisfactory condition(s) identified during the production operation (i.e.; repair, modification, etc.).
- Follows detailed repair procedures and instructions (e.g.; QA Workbooks, Work packages steps, RECs, CWPs, FWPs, TGIs etc.) required to complete the production operations.
- Performs as Team Member, cooperating with the efforts of other trades during an installation, modification or repair operations.
- Performs component and/or system troubleshooting to diagnose the problem and provide most cost effective recommendation for completing repairs.
- Performs and/or verifies mechanical alignments.
- Insures control and assumes responsibility for Level-1 material controls in accordance with Epsilon Systems Mission Readiness Group Instructions.
- Performs installation, repair, overhaul or modification in place or in shop to mechanical systems and components (e.g.; Valves, Actuators, Cylinders, Accumulators, Pumps, Launchers etc.).
- Assists with the performance of on-site field service for system grooms and checkouts, minor repairs and system configuration validation.
- Prepares and installs equipment or system alterations (e.g.; TEMPALTs, SHIPALTs, ORDALTs, etc.) IAW the directives (i.e.; instructions, drawings, MILSPECs, etc.).
- Assists in rigging when necessary.

Requirements:
- High school diploma/equivalent/Apprenticeship Diploma/additional vocational courses or technical school graduate; and/or military and/or civilian experience with marine mechanical systems in a repair department or shipyard
- 5 years' experience.
- Has knowledge of the trade qualifications and performs as a level III Outside Machinist.
- Must be able to understand and perform the basic set up, alignment, and operation of various portable tools and hand tools used in the trade.
- Has working knowledge of shipboard mechanical systems (repair/installation practices, procedures, alignments and troubleshooting).
- Must have the ability to read, understand, interpret and work from blueprints, sketches and specifications.
