Job Summary
Entry level engineer/project construction administration providing support to the Capital Improvements Project Team. Assists experienced engineers/coordinators in developing project criteria, studies, plans, specifications, providing calculations, tracking budgets, reviewing construction documentation, and communication related to City Capital Projects.
Principal Accountabilities
Entry level non-supervisory engineer/construction administration. Reports to the Capital Projects Supervisor for coordinated work with experienced engineers and coordinators. Accountable for the follow tasks:
- Assists in various phases of City Capital Improvement Project work including contract administration, project management documentation, public outreach and accounting.
- Supports dissemination of project information to other City Groups and Divisions.
- Aids in the recording of construction records documentation.
Essential Functions
- Supports dissemination of project information by preparation of exhibits.
- Helps gather stakeholder requirements for technical specifications to promote quality assurance.
- Performs field reconnaissance when/as required.
- Assists staff in the review of construction documents including plans, specification and construction management documents through all stages of Public Works projects.
- Works with experienced engineers/coordinators and other staff to coordinate and document field changes.
- Maintains knowledge of current construction codes and changes in industry standards related to construction material and procedure developments.
- Aids in the preparation of project status reports for proper coordination and scheduling of projects.
- Assists with final acceptance report upon project completion.
Peripheral Duties
- Coordinates field activities of City projects with private and public utilities within Kirkland.
- Works with Maintenance and Operations on engineering issues.
- Reviews traffic control plans with the Traffic Engineer.
- Responds to public inquiries or complaints relating to construction activities, standards, administrative procedures, and requested improvements.
- Provides public counter and back-up telephone coverage. Provides information regarding the policy of the City in response to inquiries.
- Assists in maintaining and updating Kirkland Pre-Approved Plans for the Public Works Department.
- Conducts field inspection on an as needed basis to assist inspection staff when workload or absences dictate.
- Maintaining the CIP Group's Lessons Learned file.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
In the event of a civic or civil emergency, position will provide assistance as determined by the City's emergency operations program.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must possess effective written and oral communication skills, with the ability to work with staff, the public and general contractors in a knowledgeable and professional manner. Must have proficient research and documentation skills.

The Project Superintendent is responsible for directing and overseeing all field operations on construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and to the required quality standards. This role leads site teams, coordinates subcontractors and suppliers, and serves as the primary on-site representative for the company. The Superintendent manages daily site activities, enforces safety and quality standards, acts as the key liaison between field and project leadership, and is expected to mentor staff, drive accountability, and support company-wide initiatives.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead field operations by setting clear goals, establishing priorities, and aligning daily site activities with project and company objectives.
- Supervise and mentor Assistant Superintendents, Foremen, Project Engineers, and field personnel, promoting professional growth, teamwork, and a collaborative culture.
- Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for owners, architects, engineers, and trade partners, maintaining strong relationships and addressing concerns proactively.

Working Conditions

Job Summary:
- This role will be responsible for coordinating team activities and supporting the Project Managers (PMs). With minimal supervision, the candidate will perform the role of scheduler and/or commodity tracker for major projects. They will support the development and analysis of a wide range of scope of work types, especially complex schedules using the assigned system. The candidate must be self-motivated, an excellent communicator, and a team-focused individual able to demonstrate competency in scheduling techniques and analyses on all scope of work aspects. Additional duties include schedule maintenance, collecting progress data, developing and implementing scope of work schedule/status reports, and providing consistent, accurate information to the senior management team. The candidate must be able to interface with site execution teams, contractors, and AEP senior management.
Essential Job Functions:
- Define activities, durations, work sequences, and relationship logic to develop and implement the scope of work plan and develop milestones to represent key decisions and deliverables during execution.
- Ensure all logic and activities support the level of detail required by the customer and meet internal department standards and guidance. Ensure all scope and deliverables are accounted for.
- Develop fully integrated outage schedules (including resource loading and leveling) for complex and intermediate scope of work execution teams, including detailed system schedules that utilize critical path methodology based on work scope from the work packages and planners' work list.

- Communicate schedule status to project stakeholders. Direct and guide the administration of the AEP project management organizational standards and assist in the management of projects to those standards.
- Adhere to the guidance and standards put forth by the AEP Project Management Governance Committee. Work with the Administrator to assign security, profiles, and roles for new users. Diagnose and resolve issues with scope of work schedules.
- Mentor and train junior-level schedulers on the following: preparing and analyzing metric reports; preparing and analyzing schedule risk; developing what-if schedules to address various scenarios and options as necessary; crashing scope of work schedule durations; following processes and handbook procedures; and all aspects of scheduling within the assigned systems and software.
- Perform/coordinate schedule and cost integration, including SPI/CPI processes on a scope of work basis.
- Work with the project teams to provide risk assessments and recommended mitigation actions as requested.

Responsibilities
- Managing all project phases including pre-construction, project development, bid/award, and project close-out for all assigned projects
- Collaborating with clients to establish a project scope and vision
- Oversee permit submission and design evaluations
- Monitor, plan, and manage project schedules, budgets & weekly meetings
- Collaborate with consultants and construction team to ensure project feasibility
- Prepare regular internal and external reports pertaining to job status
- Negotiate with vendors, suppliers, subcontractors
- Resolve complex planning, design and construction project-related issues, disputes and disagreements
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in a related discipline
- Minimum 3+ years construction management experience
- Experience managing multiple projects
- Ability to read construction drawings
- Understanding of risk management policies and procedures
- Experience managing budgets & schedules for large construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes and equipment
- Ability to take personal responsibility in dealing with clients and others while striving to exceed their expectations

Overview
We’re looking for a high-energy Inside Sales Account Manager who can run day-to-day customer needs and also convert inbound warm leads into new programs. You’ll own customer communication, coordinate internal execution, and move opportunities forward, from initial request to quote to launch.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys relationship-building and follow-through, has a sales mindset, and can comfortably pick up the phone to progress warm opportunities. You won’t be expected to do heavy cold calling, but you should be willing to do light outbound(follow-ups, reactivating old leads, and reaching out to similar prospects) to keep the pipeline active.
What You’ll Do
Account Management & Customer Execution
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers and keep communication clear, fast, and organized.
- Coordinate programs with Production, Scheduling, Procurement, Quality, and Shipping to ensure smooth execution.
- Track key job details (specs, BOMs, artwork, packaging components, ship dates) and keep documentation current.
- Provide status updates, resolve issues, and ensure customers stay confident in timelines and deliverables.
Inbound Warm Leads + New Business Support
- Take ownership of inbound lead flow (website inquiries, referrals, existing customer requests, warm introductions).
- Qualify inbound requests: understand product, volume, packaging format, timelines, and success criteria.
- Coordinate internal inputs to build quotes and proposals (scope, assumptions, lead times, and pricing support).
- Follow up consistently to move opportunities from request → quote → decision → launch.
- Identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts (new SKUs, new formats, value-added services).
- Perform light outbound to drive growth: re-engage past inquiries, follow up on dormant quotes, and outreach to lookalike prospects in targeted categories.

- Higher quote conversion and faster turnaround from inquiry to launch.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- 1–4 years of experience in account management, customer service, inside sales, logistics, or manufacturing/operations support.
- Comfortable speaking with customers, asking good questions, and following up until there’s a clear next step.
- Strong organization: able to manage multiple active opportunities and projects at once.
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; CRM experience is a plus.
- Practical, team-first mindset; able to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred (Nice to Have)
- Exposure to contract packaging, co-manufacturing, fulfillment, or CPG.
- Familiarity with packaging components (labels, cartons, corrugate, films) and retail requirements.
- Experience in SQF/GMP or quality documentation environments.

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the design, integration, installation, and start-up of packaging lines for food and beverage industries. As a PM you will provide engineering leadership experience and a solid working understanding of process, utility, packaging systems, drafting (CAD), controls, equipment procurement, installation, training, and start-up. Qualified candidates will have a proven track record delivering projects on budget & schedule, managing complex scopes, managing client interaction & expectations, supervising contractors and being able to identify & help develop new business opportunities.
The vision for this role is to support machine safety projects across all markets that BW Design Group supports. We have an established Machine Safety Program that can deliver a complete machine safety solution for our clients. Our solution can include all aspects of a safety life cycle including assessments, safety standard/specification creation, detailed safety design, safety hardware procurement, safety circuit verification, mechanical guarding, implementation/integration, contractor management, project management and safety validation.
Responsibilities:
- Be accountable for all aspects of project execution including line layout, vendor/contractor management, equipment procurement, schedule management, project finances, site management and installation support.
- Define the required scope of supply for machine safety compliance and implement safety life cycle solutions from risk assessments through installation and safety validation.
- Lead the packaging line design, integration, installation and start-up of capital projects, including estimation, justification, budget, schedule, design, implementation, acquisition, installation, start-up, troubleshooting, and documentation.
- Develop equipment design and specifications, design of equipment support systems, and bid analyses.
- Lead communications with vendors (OEM's) and contractors to implement automation solutions.
- Provide engineering solutions for continuous improvement objectives using industry standard tools and procedures (Change Control, ROI, etc).
- Evaluate existing packaging operations, and suggest and drive projects to provide immediate ROI and improve productivity.
- Identify and specify required tooling and/or packaging equipment for projects within designated timelines.
- Develop, maintain and grow solid client relationships.
What You'll Bring:
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent technical degree
- Minimum 7 years of project engineering/management experience with packaging systems and/or manufacturing automation applications.
- Experience in the food, beverage, household products or personal care industries strongly preferred.
- Experience in supporting and/or implementing machine safety solutions preferred. That experience can come from supporting projects/programs or through completing industry recognized machine safety certifications (i.e. CMSE - Certified Machinery Safety Expert, FS Technician / Engineer (TV Rheinland) Machinery).
- Excellent engineering and leadership skills as well as the ability to simultaneously organize, and successfully execute multiple project responsibilities.
- Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact within both engineering and operational environments with both clients, and suppliers.
- Ability to develop, maintain and grow solid client relationships.
- Willing and able to travel as necessary for project requirements to include but not be limited to: project installation and start-up activities, client meetings, company sponsored meetings, trainings, industry related seminars, forums, or conventions, etc.
