Position Summary:
The Junior Project Manager is responsible to relay information for successful planning, execution, coordination, and financial control of mechanical construction projects as well as offer input. Key Responsibilities:
1. Review of Plans & Specifications
· Understand and interpret project goals, means, and methods per contract documents.
· Generate and manage RFIs to resolve discrepancies or conflicts in drawings or specifications.
2. Project Planning & Scheduling
· Assist in the development of a comprehensive project plan and timeline aligned with contractual milestones.
· Forecast manpower needs and apprentice ratios in compliance with labor standards.
· Assist with site logistics including deliveries, material storage, site access, and safety.
3. Coordination
· Participate in and represent MYCO in all scheduled project meetings.
· Adapt to changing site conditions, RFIs, weather, and unforeseen delays.
4. Site Management
· Communicate project scope, methods, and schedule to field staff and subcontractors.
· Oversee daily logs, material usage, and manpower reports generated by the Foreman or Superintendent.
5. Office Management
· Assist the Project Manager along with the Project Assistant to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
6. Change Order Management
· Coordinate with Accounting for accurate billing and tracking of approved changes.
7. Subcontractor Management
· Monitor subcontractor performance for quality, schedule adherence, and labor law compliance.
8. Project Closeout
· Oversee the substantial and final completion phases, including the creation and resolution of punch lists.
· Assist with the submission of documentation of completed work or provide justification for incomplete items not within MYCO’s scope.
Qualifications:
· Previous mechanical construction project management experience, preferred.
· Understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
· Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
· Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and shifting priorities.

Project Managers are responsible for managing assigned construction projects. Project Managers serve as the primary contact with owners/clients and must continually foster a positive relationship with all parties involved. - Ensure the detail and accuracy of Subcontractor/Supplier scopes of work
- Administer a monthly PFR/JCR meeting with Project Executive for each assigned job
- Establish, maintain and update the project schedule in conjunction with the Superintendent, including milestones and procurement activities
- With Project Executive/Business Unit Leader, participate in Owner contract negotiations
- Develop Guaranteed Maximum Price proposals in conjunction with preconstruction services
- Develop project schedule in conjunction with Superintendent
- Conduct accurate and timely execution of subcontract buyout process, including Subcontractor negotiations
- Manage all Owner deliverables during preconstruction and construction
- Direct and maintain the Quality Program on each project
- Hold regular meetings with subcontractors and suppliers to resolve cost and schedule issues on a timely basis
- Implement a comprehensive, detailed Owner’s Status Report to be presented on a monthly basis
- Conduct mandatory project planning meetings, monthly job progress meetings, and project closeout meetings
- Document, train and assist Owner personnel in turnover and commissioning of the project systems
- Develop, train and mentor all levels of Project Managers and Superintendents to assume ownership in the delivery process with a business mentality
- Administer the year-round performance appraisal process (development, assessment, compensation, promotion, discipline, termination) for direct report personnel
REQUIREMENTS:
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in Construction, Engineering, or related field; equivalent combination of technical training and work-related experience in lieu of degree
- Minimum of ten years’ experience in commercial construction, design, finance and management
- 2 or more years of experience working for a commercial electrical contractor
- Must have large Hospital project experience
- Thorough understanding of industry practices, processes, standards and their impact on project activities
- Proficiency in computer software and keyboarding necessary
- Advanced knowledge of safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, quality control, engineering drawings, and other construction documents
- Superior communication and interpersonal (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.) skills essential

Your New Role
As a Project Manager, you will work closely with the Superintendent to lead the successful execution of a multifamily apartment complex rehabilitation, owning the project from pre‑construction through closeout.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing project financials, risk, and client relationships
- Leading subcontractor buyout and contract execution
- Overseeing RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings
- Supporting site logistics and project setup
- Championing safety and quality standards on site
- Mentoring and developing field team members
- Managing schedules, billings, cost controls, and reporting
- Driving the project through closeout
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Degree in Construction Management or a related field
- 4–5+ years experience as an Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager
- Multifamily renovation / rehabilitation experience strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of project financials, contracts, scheduling, and jobsite safety
- Tech-savvy with proficiency in Procore ideal
- Strong leadership, communication, and team‑building skills
