POSITION SUMMMARY:
The Commissioning Project Manager will work closely with the lead electrical and mechanical commissioning agents on each project to ensure that the projects are successful. This position is responsible for managing our commissioning and QA/QC projects. This task involves monitoring project plans, schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures and ensuring that project deadlines are met on time. The Project Manager will assist with processes, procedures, management, and documentation needed for CPG's commissioning data center infrastructure services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

During an office day, you might work on these types of tasks:
* Manage new construction and retrofit construction commissioning projects, including staffing, budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
* Review drawings and specifications across multiple projects to ensure that the building owner's intent is met during the design phase.
* Review product data submittals across multiple projects to ensure that the equipment ordered aligns with the building owner's specified equipment.
* Develop plans for on-site testing.

* Interface with project managers, subcontractors, and members of the design and constructions teams by phone and email for clarification and feedback.

During a day in the field, you might:
* Lead a commissioning coordination meeting with the owner or owner's representative design team, and key contractors.
* Spend a day with a contractor to test and explore the systems they installed, proactively asking thoughtful questions to identify and resolve issues and documenting outstanding issues.
* Witness and report on the startup of a new system on the owner's behalf to troubleshoot as needed.
* Adjust your communication style to effectively interface with a wide range of construction team members, sometimes about sensitive issues (e.g., architects, designers, facilities managers, contractors, manufacturers' representatives).

POSITION SUMMARY
The Associate Project Manager is responsible for supporting and advancing construction projects throughout all phases of planning, design, bidding, construction and closeout. Essential Job Functions:
1. Project Management: oversee and manage assigned residential construction projects from pre-construction stages to completion
- Oversee and update construction schedules for each project daily
- Ensure that performed work matches designs, specs, and other construction documents, and that workmanship is of high quality, meeting quality standards
- Communicate regularly with clients to keep them in the loop and to ensure decisions needed from them are made on time
- Manage project budget throughout, including coding invoices and capturing change order costs
- Plan and coordinate site logistics: daily coordination of subcontractors and material deliveries
- Schedule and prepare for required inspections
- Identify and resolve project risks or problems
- Create daily job logs for each project, with pictures.
- Prepare punch lists and follow up to ensure completion
2. Site Maintenance
- Ensure job sites remain safe and aligns with our safety guidelines
- Keep job sites clean, self-performing the cleaning if necessary
Supplemental Job Functions:
- Manage service cases as they arise
- Run and pickup supplies or items if necessary
- Assist other Project Managers if they need coverage while being out
- Be present at or help at company events if/when they occur

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- At least 7 years of experience in construction supervision/management roles
- Knowledge of major construction systems, products, and processes
- Knowledge of local quality, safety, and health guidelines for residential construction
- Proficiency with construction management software (e.g. BuilderTrend / Co-Construct)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable interacting with high-end clients

Title: APM / Assistant Project Manager
Location: New Haven County, CT
Salary: $70,000-$80,000
What You’ll Be Doing
- You’ll act as the right hand to the Project Manager, helping keep projects organized, on schedule, and moving efficiently.
- Logging and tracking contracts and purchase orders
- Reviewing and tracking submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs
- Creating and pricing proposed change orders
- Coordinating with subcontractors to resolve questions and avoid delays
- Setting up subcontractor coordination meetings
- Tracking warranties and safety documentation
- Assisting with project schedules and gathering field data
- Uploading and managing documents in Procore
- Attending jobsite and subcontractor meetings as needed
- This role offers strong exposure to both office and field operations.
What is sought:
- 2+ years of construction-related experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management (or related experience)
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage your own workflow and meet deadlines
- Blueprint reading experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience with Procore preferred
- Familiarity with Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, Clearstory, HCSS HeavyBid, or AGTEK is a plus
- OSHA 10/30 preferred
