About the Position
The Production Lab Technician I supports the manufacturing and testing activities within AnimalBiome’s FMT production laboratory. This entry-level role performs a variety of laboratory tasks, including capsule production, ingredient preparation, and sample handling, while maintaining strict adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality standards, and biosafety protocols.
This position is ideal for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in a biotechnology production laboratory focused on companion animal health.
Responsibilities
- Perform production tasks related to FMT manufacturing, including capsule preparation and ingredient mixing, with attention to quality, efficiency, and compliance.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintain a clean, organized laboratory environment in accordance with safety and contamination prevention protocols.
- Operate and perform routine maintenance on laboratory equipment.
- Assist with basic diagnostics and preventative maintenance under supervision.
- Support monitoring and testing schedules for donor samples and assist with sample preparation and collection procedures.
- Accurately document laboratory procedures, results, and equipment usage using established templates and data management systems.
- Adhere to laboratory safety guidelines and consistently use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Identify and report deviations, risks, or procedural issues to supervisors.
- Participate in team projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Assist with training on routine laboratory procedures as needed.
- Adapt to evolving workflows, procedures, and production priorities.
- Utilize laboratory software and digital tools for data entry, tracking, and documentation.
Working Conditions
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including laboratory coats, gloves, masks, and eye protection.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support 2nd Shift CNC machinists in daily production activities
- Set up and/or operate complex CNC lathe and milling machines as needed

- Oversee first piece and in-process inspections using standard precision measuring equipment
- Ensure proper documentation in ERP and completion of required quality records

The salary for this role at the noted RRD location is $17.50-18.50/ hour. Starting pay decisions are determined based on multiple factors including but not limited to relevant education, qualifications,
skills, experience, certifications, proficiency, performance, shift, location, and other business
needs. Typically, roles follow step progressions to a target rate or set increments over time. Depending on
the role, in addition to the hourly rate of pay, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and/or stand-by pay. RRD’s benefit offerings include

The Production & Supply Chain Planner is responsible for ensuring accurate demand planning, efficient production scheduling, and optimal material availability to support customer requirements and internal operational goals. Responsibilities:
- Manage capacity planning and production priorities to prevent shortages and ensure forward‑month demand is met.
- Ensure planning tools are used effectively, leveraging the demand plan and key data inputs as primary drivers.
- Partner with internal teams to gather information and build accurate demand plans based on customer requirements and material availability.
- Provide coaching, feedback, direction, and support to team members to achieve business, partner, and customer results.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with customer business teams to lead and support planning processes.
- Develop relationships with cross‑functional business units and supply chain partners to ensure cohesive forecasting and aligned strategies.
- Prepare daily reports identifying issues and recommending solutions to improve future demand planning.
- Support weekly Production Planning meetings with Marketing, Product Management, Materials, and Manufacturing, including report preparation and coordination.
- Proactively identify gaps where plans fail to meet goals and implement corrective actions to realign activities.
- Track and record accurate, timely demand forecasts, using customer requirements and KPIs to improve performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Management or similar.
- 3+ years of experience with ERP/MRP systems and Vendor Managed Inventory (SAP preferred).
- Strong cross‑functional collaboration skills, both internally and with customers.
- Ability to analyze problems quickly and accurately, applying lean methodologies to develop viable solutions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Strong project management skills.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
