Legacy Emanuel Medical Center in North Portland plays a vital role as a local and regional leader in serious clinical illness or injury. With around-the-clock expertise for critical health issues, including experts in trauma, heart care, burns, significant wounds, stroke, brain surgery and more, Legacy Emanuel is central to the health of our community and critical to the care of the Northwest. 

This is a 12-bed adult Cardio Vascular ICU for the care of critical adults opened in the spring of 2013.  Patient population follows a cardiovascular service line - vascular surgery patients, and cardiac patients, including recovery of open-heart surgery patients.  In addition, the CVICU and our Intensivist team care for other critical care patient populations, such as those with sepsis, ARDS, acute kidney injury and other diagnoses alongside our cardiac patient populations.  

• Provides patient care within an assigned department/unit

• Functions as a member of the health care team in collaboration with and under the direction of the clinical manager or designee

• Adheres to the relevant Standards and Scope of Practice for the Registered Nurse

• Performs all aspects of the nursing process:

  • Assesses, analyzes, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care

• Follows established patient care standards set by Legacy Health System, including standards for patient assessment & patient transfer.

Education: 

• As required by licensure. 
• BSN or degree in progress strongly preferred.
• BSN may be required for specific assignments; experienced RNs without a BSN may be hired based on clinical experience with approval of the site CNO.

Experience:

• One-year registered nursing experience or completion of either the Legacy Health RN Residency program or a nursing program that is equivalent in content, curriculum and duration. 
• 2 years of experience with open-heart recovery strongly preferred.

Skills: 

• Demonstrated ability of positive interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, patients, families, physicians and the community. 
• Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions.

• Current applicable state RN license required.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification from the American Heart Association required.
• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
  • Transisition nurses will complete ACLS post-hire during orientation.

The Nursing Practice and Quality Specialist serves as a clinical and operational expert in advancing nursing practice, patient safety, and quality outcomes. Guided by the NAHQ Healthcare Quality Competency Framework, this role supports the design, implementation, and evaluation of nursing practice standards, policies, and quality improvement initiatives that foster excellence in patient care, regulatory compliance, and continuous learning.

Critical Care Expertise:

• Must have knowledge of medical and surgical critical care and trauma processes and procedures
• Experience as a Neurological and Trauma nurse or nurse leader
• Experience with Code Blue and Rapid Response Teams
• Experience leading large multidisciplinary workgroups overseeing the system standards

Quality Leadership and Integration

• Champion a culture of quality and safety across Legacy Health through education, data transparency, and staff engagement.

• Monitor progress through data collection, dashboards, and feedback loops to ensure sustainability of improvements.
• Collaborates with providers, nurses and other clinical disciplines in the implementation, compliance, and evaluation of evidence-based clinical standards.
• Leads and participates in taskforces, committees or councils related to process improvement and provision of quality, evidence-based care.
• Uses Lean tools and principles to improve quality of workflow and patient care.
• Supports clinical practice initiatives to reduce harm, improve quality of care and meet clinical compliance requirements.
• Consults with Nursing Professional Development Specialists in the implementation of evidence-based practice.
• Promote a culture of safety, transparency, and continuous learning throughout the organization.

Patient Safety and Regulatory Readiness

• Coordinate safety initiatives, root cause analyses, and failure mode and effects analyses (FMEAs).
• Ensure nursing practices meet current standards, accreditation requirements, and regulatory expectations (e.g., The Joint Commission, CMS, state boards).
• Collaborate with leaders and frontline staff to implement corrective action plans and sustain compliance.

Health Data Analytics and Reporting

• Partner with data analysts to transform complex data into actionable insights for nurse leaders, providers, and staff.
• Support data-driven decision-making through accurate, timely performance measurement and reporting.

Population Health and Care Coordination

• Integrate population health principles into nursing practice to reduce health disparities and improve outcomes across the continuum.
• Contribute to initiatives that improve patient experience and outcomes across care settings.

Professional Practice Development

• Mentor and educate nurses on quality science, evidence-based practice, and outcomes measurement.
• Assists in developing and revising standards of care and practice to reflect national and regional standards, local practice trends, and current research
• Collaborates with nursing leadership, Legacy Research Institute, Nursing Professional Development Specialists and nursing staff in identifying opportunities for nursing clinical inquiry.
• Maintains currency in clinical practice and knowledge of professional standards of practice through participation in continuing education, community and professional activities, and committee membership.

Education: 

• An academic degree in nursing is required (BSN or MSN/MN); master’s degree required.

Experience:

• Four years relevant clinical experience at a proficient to expert level of practice required with demonstrated involvement in quality or performance improvement.
• Preferred:  Experience with regulatory/accreditation readiness, patient safety, and data analytics.

• Functions as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering family-centered care across Women’s Services units, including Labor & Delivery, Family Birth Centers, and Newborn Nurseries.

• Assists at the surgical field, passing instruments and supplies to other members of the surgical team.

• Participates in the preparation and setup of surgical suites, maintaining sterile technique while managing instruments and supplies for various procedures.

• Provides basic patient care and unit support under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).

• Performs a broad range of essential tasks that support safe and efficient patient care, but do not require RN-level licensure or skills.

Experience:

• 1 year Surgical Technologist experience preferred.
• Women’s Services experience preferred.

Education:

• Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist program or completion of a military training program for surgical technologists.

OR

• High school diploma or equivalent, and
• As of January 1, 2017, in lieu of the formal Surg Tech training program requirement, may substitute professional experience if candidate has worked 2 out of last 3 years as Surgical Technologist.

Legacy Commercial Property is a rapidly growing real estate company headquartered in Brentwood, TN. Legacy is part of Highland Ventures, a family-owned real estate conglomerate. Legacy owns and operates a portfolio of 650+ properties across 22 states. Legacy operates in the multi-tenant retail and office asset classes, with an internal team that includes property management, leasing, construction, and acquisitions & development. The Company’s high growth is focused on build-to-suit NNN development, leasing existing retail space, and retail strip center acquisitions and development.

Role Responsibilities:

• Consult with leasing agents regarding LOI & lease flow timing and prioritization
• Draft and review LOI’s
• Draft, review, redline/negotiate leases and specific lease clauses
• Prepare final execution of leases
• Review & prepare exhibits for lease
• Distribute fully executed leases to landlord and tenant
• Coordinate with Property Management team to upload lease to MRI
• Consult with Property Management team on certain clauses that affect lease implementation
• Perform and coordinate due diligence, including review of title commitments, surveys, zoning reports, and underlying documents
• Assist in preparation and review of real estate conveyance and closing documents
• Coordinate closing of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions and financings, debt and equity transactions including signature page packages, document delivery, monitor closing checklists, handle recording requirements at closing
• Work on special assignments that may require conducting routine factual research, preparing reports and handling associated filings
• Retrieve, organize, review, analyze and summarize documents
• Effectively set priorities, provide timely updates, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree
