Position Summary:
The Strategic Sourcing Specialists plays a key role in implementing the Global Strategic Sourcing Strategy for the Commodities under his/her responsibility. Along with that Strategy, responsibilities include: Sending out “Requests for Quotes”; Analyzing Data; Negotiating Price, Payment Terms, Freight Terms, Stocking Programs, and Formal Contracts all in accordance with Companies’ Goals and Objectives.
The Strategic Sourcing Specialist reports to the Director, Global Strategic Sourcing, and will be located in the manufacturing facility assigned. You will work directly with the cross functional departments at your location including, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Materials, Finance, and Safety.
Required travel of up to 30% of the time both domestically and internationally.
Key Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Responsible for all Sourcing Activities for your location
- Manage Supplier Relationship and Communication
- Engage with Internal Customers to understand their needs and requirements as it relates to your Suppliers.
- Be responsive to escalation requirements from your internal customers as it relates to Supplier communication or urgency.
- Work with Engineering and Product Development on new Product Launches.
- Manager all RFQ’s with Suppliers for timely completion.
- Analyze all data in Excel Format and present results to internal customers.
- Negotiate Price, Freight, Terms, Payment Terms, Stocking Programs, and Contracts for all new RFQ’s in accordance with Company’s Goals and Objectives.
- Qualify and Approve all new Suppliers with Quality and Engineering.
- Order Samples and PPAP requirements as needed.
- Once Contract is finalized, communicate next steps to Material Planners for Production requirements.
- Monitor Supplier Performance for On Time Delivery, Quality, Lead-time, and Cost Savings.
- Send out Scorecards to top 10 Suppliers Monthly.
- Plan, develop, and implement Cost Reduction plans for all commodities.
- Lead Working Capital and Supply Chain efficiencies with all your Suppliers.
- Supports inventory management optimization initiatives.
- Prepares cost analyses based on the total cost of ownership.
- Makes recommendations to optimize the supply chain and/or operations based on data.
- Develops / participate in make-buy studies.
- Support Production Meetings and the Planners as needed, and help develop strategies for improvement.
Job Requirements/ Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Strategic Sourcing and Procurement
- 5 years’ Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Experience Negotiating with Suppliers to establish a win-win environment.
- Extensive experience collecting and analyzing data with strong Excel skills
- Experience in driving and implementing Cost Savings for favorable PPV.
- Working knowledge of product standard costing
- Extensive experience in working with cross functional teams
- Experience working in a lean manufacturing environment desirable
- Working knowledge of Just-In-Time practices (JIT), Kanban, Min Max, and other inventory planning methods desirable
- Experience in a low volume – high mix environment desirable
- Experience working with global and cross-cultural teams desirable
- International business experience is a plus

- Knowledge of procurement trends, strategic sourcing processes and best practices, e.g. reverse auctions, e-sourcing tools is a plus.

ABOUT THE ROLE: We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer Supply Chain Management. Duties include:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Project Support: Will support Project Managers and other engineers in project activities including, but not limited to the following:
- Purchase of equipment, including preparation of bid packages, acquisition of quotations and bids, preparation of purchase order documents, tracking orders and processing the invoices.
- Project accounting. Will maintain the accounting records for multiples projects and prepare reports as needed. Will interface with the accounting department.
- Assist in the preparation and management of project schedules, Gantt charts, and departmental calendars.
- Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) for projects under direction of project managers.
- Assist in the development of project cost estimates.
- Engineering Departmental Support: Will support activities and projects to maintain efficient operation and continued improvement of the engineering department. These include, but not limited to the following:
- Evaluation of software packages for process, safety, document control or project management.
- Document management for the department.
- Preparation of technical white papers or other documents.
- Work with management, engineers, and customers to develop new standards for production.
- Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on cost, quality, and delivery capabilities. Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Contract Negotiation: Work with Purchasing to negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure the best prices and terms for the organization.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Duties & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of Capital Budget and Contract Control, is responsible for supervising, coordinating and executing the management of multiple capital projects for the Post-Acute Service Line. Supports collaborative development with various business teams and drives process improvements for the successful management of the overall project lifecycle, supporting provision of all deliverables from inception to completion.
Essential Functions
- Manage all aspects of assigned capital projects from initiation through closeout including but not limited to budgets, schedules procurement and quality control.
- Work with the facility staff on facility construction projects. Including: scheduling, adherence to job specifications, quality of work placed, safety, and regulatory compliance
- Provides direct supervision and coordination of design consultants and contractors as required by ongoing projects. Including review of design documents, not limited to drawings and specifications, for compliance with Central Office standards, end user programs, facility standards and needs, regulatory agency requirements and codes to ensure the projects are completed within budget and planned schedules.
- In conjunctions with Director, facilitates RFP processes, and procurement requests including drafting scopes for design RFPs, contractor scopes of work and coordinating consultant responsibilities and tasks.
- Develops and submits budget reports and variances as required. Assures that adequate funds are budgeted and funds are available. Reviews schedules, budgets, and progress reports and provides regular updates to supervisor and stakeholders.
- Conducts regularly scheduled site walks and ensure project is in adherence with NYC H+H procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Track project documentation and maintain records in systems such as Kahua.
- Support invoice review, change order evaluation, and project reporting.
- Prepare meeting minutes, presentations, and regular status updates.

Minimum Qualifications
1. Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Business or Public Administration, Healthcare Management, Engineering, Social Sciences, Physical Sciences or a related discipline; and four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in projects and programs management, execution, and implementation, two (2) years of which must have been in the administration, management and/or execution of projects and programs of various complexities, including work in health care program planning, research, design or a related area; or
2. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in one of the disciplines as listed in 1 above or a related discipline; and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience as described in 1 above, three (3) of which must have been in the administration, management and/or execution of projects and programs of various complexities, including work in health care program planning, research, design or a related area; or
3. Education and/or Experience

The Role:
The Project Executive provides overall leadership and direction on the construction project. Typically, the Project Executive is responsible for negotiating the Owner contract, is the main contact for the Project Manager for issues concerning budget, billing and client satisfaction, and ensures the fiscal success of the project.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership in business judgment and all financial and profitability aspects of projects under your jurisdiction Participate extensively in and the work acquisition process, working to define and develop project budgets and schedules that will achieve profitability objectives taking into account project-specific challenges
- Set appropriate milestones and assign staff qualified to handle the scope and complexity of the project
- Work closely with clients, owners, architects, and subcontractors to develop relationships that exceeds the client satisfaction to Suffolk’s demanding standards

It is expected that the Project Executive is the “common thread” that owns the project from Pre-Construction through Closeout and beyond. This involves:
- Oversight of projects at a high level from beginning to end including budget, costs, unexpected events, general performance, and overall progress against plan
- Ensure that the day-to-day operations of projects are transitioned effectively to Project Managers and Superintendents from Preconstruction when work commences in the field
- Mentor, train, and coach staff to perform to or exceed Suffolk standards
- Represent Suffolk to the Owner(s), Architects, Consultants, Government Authorities, Vendors and Subcontractors
Project Acquisition:
- Participate to understand unique owner needs, to represent Suffolk capabilities and help close potential client
- Review projects for unique challenges that will impact budget/profitability objectives utilizing Litmus Test
- Utilize industry contacts and relationships to generate appropriate project leads and follow through to acquisition as required
- Participate in and contribute to the RFP response process including editing for project specific content, and interview preparation and participation as requested

Project Start Up/Turnover/Pre-Construction:
- Assign appropriate Project Staff (Includes Project Management and Field Ops Staff)
- Review and approve the pre-mobilization activities

- Be the pre-construction lead as requested, working closely with the pre-construction, and estimating teams to develop project specific budgets, schedules, and logistics plans
Project Operations:
- Responsible for ensuring that Projects achieve budget, schedule, quality, and profitability objectives
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the Suffolk/Owner Contract. Ensure project team understanding of same and that project achieves compliance with
- Visit sites regularly to monitor project performance, schedule, and expenditures with project staff, highlight potential challenges and provide leadership in responding creatively to bring projects in on schedule and under budget, where feasible., and to the standard of quality expected
People:
- Monitor and evaluate Project Manager and Superintendent staff assignments
- Responsible for development of entire team
- Assist in sourcing and screening of candidates as requested; mentor, coach, and train them to perform and ensure effective matching of talent to project scope
Financial Performance:
- Cash Management

Schedule Performance:
- Assist the project staff in the development of the Baseline Schedule
- Monitor schedule performance

- Ensure Project Staff understands and is trained in Suffolk Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and monitor compliance
Safety:
- Champion jobsite safety effort, motivating the on-site team in the implementation of Suffolk Safety Program
- Ensure the original project budget includes project appropriate funding
Meeting Management:
- Attend all scheduled meetings necessary to monitor and manage project profitability
- Chair and/or attend weekly project staff meetings
Client Relationships:
- Attend owner and project meetings, maintain continuous client contact to gauge performance perceptions and communicate relevant information to Project Team
- Become the Suffolk representative on the team
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10-15 years of construction management experience for a large-scale general contractor or CM at Risk firm
- Self-perform experience a plus
- In-depth knowledge of intricate commercial construction practices required
- Experience leading multiple successful project teams including development of direct reports and maintaining relationships with external entities
- Each set of projects has specific characteristics regarding size, complexity, sector etc, which dictate the precise years of experience and industry knowledge necessary for success, above and beyond general construction knowledge and experience

Project Planning & Coordination

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Controls Manager to support large-scale capital improvement and construction projects at Tampa International Airport (TPA). This role is responsible for leading the planning, scheduling, cost management, and reporting functions necessary to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with TPA’s program management standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Controls & Program Management
- Utilize Tampa International Airport’s project management platform and tracking/reporting tools to manage project data, reporting, and performance monitoring.
- Oversee and integrate schedule management, cost control, and estimating deliverables across all phases of the project lifecycle.
- Ensure project controls processes comply with all TPA program management standards and reporting requirements.
- Coordinate closely with project managers, design consultants, contractors, and airport stakeholders to maintain alignment between scope, schedule, and budget.
Schedule Management
- Lead development and oversight of project schedules, ensuring alignment with overall program objectives and milestones.
