The Press Assistant is responsible for paper hanging, inks, glues and other materials and assisting the press crew. This position directly helps Quad drive profitability by reducing the cost of errors through consistent work quality.
Responsibilities:
* Hanging of pre-printed and mill paper rolls - setting up accurate splices.

Position Responsibilities:
Obtain work package from the ready-to-work rack, work board, or assigned by Team Lead, or run previously set-up jobs by reviewing tie-ins from prior operators.
Operate a computer to access information from prints, sketches, drawings, layout documents, and Boeing (BAC) specifications.
Perform safety checks on machines, ensuring the area is clear of obstacles, power switches are off, and safety guards are installed.
Move heavy materials, equipment, tools, and dies to the work area using stackers, Kalamar, die loaders, or overhead cranes, asking for assistance as needed.
Check steam lines for cracks or cuts and verify o-rings are properly seated prior to hookup.
Preheat dies and punches using electricity or steam, and verify temperature accuracy for hot dies with a temperature stick or pyrometer.
Determine machine setup by reviewing work orders, tooling usage instructions, and die setup charts, making adjustments as required.
Load and secure dies into the press, checking for defects and torquing as necessary.
Examine tools, dies, and fixtures for damage, separating them using appropriate handling procedures.
Set up press cycle programs using control panels or manual switches to adjust height, stroke, pressure, and cycle time.
Develop patterns when necessary, cutting and tailoring materials like fiberglass and graphite to die requirements.
Perform pull-outs on various types of metal and alloy tubes using a hydraulic tube pull-out machine.
Verify that materials are free from burrs and debris, using hand deburring tools and denatured alcohol prior to forming operations.
Consult with Team Lead and other personnel (e.g., engineering, planning, inspection) on process or job-related issues as required.
Maintain a written tie-in book or electronic communication to coordinate with other shifts and dispose of hazardous materials in an approved manner.
Physical Demands and Potential Hazards:

We are seeking experienced Slitter, Rewinder, and Flexo Printing Press Operators to join our production team in Marshall County, Indiana. This is a hands-on manufacturing role ideal for candidates with experience operating slitter/rewinder equipment and working with materials such as film, paper, foil, or labels.
The selected candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining slitter, rewinder, or flexographic press equipment to ensure production goals and quality standards are consistently met.

* Direct crew to specific duties during scheduled maintenance.

Required Qualifications

* Must have an understanding of color, and the ability to pass a color test is required.
* Must have strong mechanical skills and aptitude.
* Ability to lift 10-15 pounds continuously, ability to lift to 50 pounds occasionally, stand long hours (12-hour shift), use hands and wrists continuously in controlled movement, receive and follow instructions, and use vision to identify defects.
* Ability to work 12-hour shifts, with overtime and holidays as required (OT paid over 40 hours per week).

Perform Maintenance - Observe and monitor machine operations to determine whether adjustments are needed during the job. Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of assigned equipment during shift.
Attain and maintain proper ink and water balance.
Direct crew to specific duties during scheduled maintenance.
Monitor and maintain constant ink densities per customer specifications.
Work with urgency, when the press is down, to maintain production requirements.
Continue learning new and improved processes to achieve increased production.
Responsible for the ongoing training and development of other Pressroom personnel.
Assist Supervisors in documenting and improving procedures and processes by offering ideas and suggestions.
Facilitate teamwork among team members and between shifts.
Must have 3+Β years of Lead Sheetfed Operator experience - packaging/printing field preferred.
Must have strong mechanical skills and aptitude.
Ability to lift 10-15 pounds continuously, ability to lift to 50 pounds occasionally, stand long hours (12-hour shift), use hands and wrists continuously in controlled movement, receive and follow instructions, and use vision to identify defects.
Ability to workΒ 12-hour shifts, with overtime and holidays as required (OT paid over 40 hours per week).Β
Machine repair and maintenance experience preferred

SUMMARY: Assist operator in operation of the press.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Support operator's efforts to meet budgeted targets.
- Hang substrates on press.
- Know register control system.
- Understand all SOP's and to be trained in them.
- Run press to approved specifications.
- Properly fill out all paperwork, daily reports, final release, consumption reports, and roll tickets.
- Know and follow all safety rules.
- Prep print carriages.
- Make up doctor blades.
- Actively participates in safety programs and makes safety observations.
- Other duties as assigned.

TRUMPF CNC Punch Press Programmer
As the TRUMPF CNC Punch Press Programmer, you will be responsible for preparing Top Assembly, detailed technical component drawings and weldments. These drawings will be used by production personnel. The drawings show the technical details of the products and structures, and specify dimensions, materials, and procedures.
Additionally, this position will interact with welding Technicians and Assembly personnel to discuss project specifications and product adjustments. Responsibilities include new and revised product design using Solid Works, AutoCAD Programs. This position requires knowledge of bill of materials (BOM). The Engineering Support Technician will report directly to the Operations Manager, who may assign other duties as required.

Major Responsibilities
- Prepare engineering layouts/drawings of the assemblies, processes and parts to be manufactured, and production of 3-D modeling (from concept to manufacturing stage)
- Develop engineering designs from preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, specification sheets and other data
- Assist Engineering manager in development and implementation of all Engineering programs and procedures in the areas of engineering issues
- Participate in engineering new processes, continuous improvement and support of ongoing production activities
- Support the interface between design and manufacturing on new product development
- Produce documentation including test procedures, work instructions, test reports, and other reports and analyses necessary for compliance with relevant standards
- Support production to improve productivity
- Test and inspect machines and equipment and work with engineer to eliminate production problems

Educational / Training Requirements

Must-have Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience programming TRUMPF CNC punch presses
- Hands-on experience with TruTops Punch/TruTops Boost (or equivalent Trumpf software)
- Strong understanding of:
-Sheet metal fabrication
-Tooling selection and optimization
-Nesting and material utilization
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (GD&T preferred)
- Experience working with steel, stainless, aluminum (various gauges)
- Proven ability to reduce scrap, cycle time and tool wear
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision

- Experience with automated loading/unloading systems
- Exposure to laser/punch combo machines
