It is all about learning and growing. Our Associate Auto Claims Adjuster role may be a new career for you. There's a lot to learn, but the pathway is mapped out and USAA is willing to invest in you! Our comprehensive, fully paid four-month training program includes all training materials, licensing costs, class discussions, hands-on training, e-learning modules, and the instructor led guidance will help you to support our members independently.
Our in-office development program provides the training you need and the encouragement to create a proactive and independent support style to service our membership. After six months in-office, you'll have the opportunity to work offsite 2 days a week. Military veterans are highly encouraged to apply. Work schedules will vary and may include some weekends. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
We are currently seeking dedicated professionals to work in our Phoenix, AZ office, located at 1 Norterra Dr, Phoenix, AZ 85085 as an Associate Auto Claims Adjuster. Your work will focus on adjusting non-injury auto claims and you'll work under supervision to investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and adjust low complexity auto insurance claims presented by or against our members. This will include the end-to-end claims process and settling claims in compliance with state laws and regulations. In this role, you will make a difference to our members as you deliver best in class customer service through setting appropriate expectations, proactively communicating and providing advice to deliver appropriate solutions to the member.
Training will be held in-office for the first 8 weeks and attendance is 100% mandatory. Training will be Monday - Friday 8 am - 4:30 pm and the working shift after completing training will most likely be Monday - Friday 10 am - 6:30 pm.
What you'll do:
* Acquire and apply basic knowledge of auto coverages. auto physical damage, and liability, in order to evaluate and settle high volume and low complexity auto claims such as; simple comprehensive and collision (i.e., single vehicle, parked and unoccupied, clear liability), glass, roadside, and rental vehicle coverages for repairable vehicles.
* Resolve claims through proactive problem solving and decision making, within authority guidelines and under direct supervision, while overcoming obstacles, and effectively prioritizing the workload.
* Clearly document thought process including damage evaluation, investigation, negotiation, and settlement decisions.
* Collaborate and set expectations with external and internal business partners to facilitate claims resolution.
* Support members, business partners, and claimants, through use of varying communication channels to include utilization of digital tools to drive timely and effective resolutions through exceptional service.
* Acquire and apply a foundational knowledge of Property and Claims (P&C) insurance industry products, and services, to include P&C insurance policy contracts, coverages and internal claims handling process and procedures.
* Support workload surges and catastrophe (CAT) response operations as needed, including potential evening, weekends, and/or holiday work outside normal work hours.
* May be assigned CAT deployment travel with minimal notice during designated CATs.
* Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

The Opportunity
As a dedicated auto adjuster, within defined guidelines and framework, you are responsible to adjust moderately complex auto insurance claims presented by or against our members to include the end-to-end claims process and settling claims in compliance with state laws and regulations. What you'll do:
Investigates liability and applies appropriate coverage, evaluates, negotiates, and settles moderately complex auto claims.
Negotiates liability for comparative negligence (claimant or adverse carrier).
Identifies coverage concerns, reviews prior loss history, determines, and creates Special Investigation Unit (SIU) referrals, when appropriate.
Interacts with multiple parties to gather information needed to determine liability (police reports, recorded statements, witness statements).
Resolves claims through proactive problem solving and decision making, within authority guidelines and under moderate supervision, overcoming obstacles, and effectively prioritizing the workload.

POSITION SUMMARY
The primary responsibility of theAuto Dealer Account Manager will be the attainment of targets set forth within the annual sales plan for their territory - specifically the Shreveport, LA/Memphis TN territory. The Opportunity
What you'll do:
- Applies appropriate coverage and handles simple liability, evaluates, and settles high volume and low complexity auto claims with repairable vehicles.
- Resolves claims through proactive problem solving and decision making, within authority guidelines and under direct supervision, overcoming obstacles, and effectively prioritizing the workload.
- Clearly documents thought process including damage evaluation, investigation, negotiation, and settlement decisions.
- Collaborates and sets expectations with external and internal business partners to facilitate claims resolution.
- Supports members, business partners, and claimants, through use of varying communication channels to include utilization of digital tools to drive timely and effective resolutions through exceptional service.
- Acquires and applies a foundational knowledge of P&C insurance industry products, services, to include P&C insurance policy contracts, coverages and internal claims handling process and procedures.
- Applies basic knowledge of Auto Physical Damage. Supports workload surges and catastrophe (CAT) response operations as needed, including mandatory on-call dates and potential evening, weekend, and/or holiday work outside normal work hours.
- May be assigned CAT deployment travel with minimal notice during designated CATs.
- Works various types of claims, including ones of higher complexity, and may be assigned additional work outside normal duties as needed.
- Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
What you have:
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma.
- 1 year or more of military experience.
- Acquisition and maintenance of insurance adjuster license within week 2 of training and 3 testing attempts.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task, including navigating through multiple business applications.
- Successful completion of a job-related assessment may be required.

Job PurposeThis position will provide support in accounting and financial reporting activities (including monthly/quarterly/annual financial SOX audits) of AHM Auto Business Segment, especially in the areas of SAB-104 revenue recognition cut-off procedures, royalty transactions, GALC (Global Assembly Line Control) reconciliations over HDMA factories, GSI reporting, support of incentive accrual reviews, and overall coordination of accounting processes, flows, and reporting requirements related to AHM GM BEV3.0 Collaboration (mainly in the areas of purchase, wholesale and retail accounting).
Key Accountabilities- Complete workpapers (including account reconciliations and account analysis) and prepare journal entries for AHM & selected schedules/deliverables for HM financial reporting, ensuring completeness and accuracy
- Provide review support to the Assistant Manager over various areas, including but not limited to incentive accruals (which entail a large volume of deliverables to various stakeholders, incl. Finance Management and HM)
- Support SOX compliance and audit activities for the Product (Auto) Segment, including GALC reconciliations.

Qualifications and requirements
- Experience in one or more of the following: engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, heating and air conditioning
- Knowledge of health and safety compliance
- Manual dexterity and physical stamina, lift heavy objects, and walk and stand for extended periods of time
- Manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills and attention to detail
- Possession of a valid driver’s license
- Where required by State/Local law, maintain ASE Certifications*

The Opportunity
As a dedicated Manager, Claims Operations, you will lead and be accountable for auto, and other claims operations member service employees who are responsible for serving our members, and providing appropriate solutions as they investigate, evaluate and negotiate the claim. Develop engaged employees through regular coaching and feedback to deliver business results. Complete process improvements, provide feedback on the process and lead organizational process changes. Drive execution of operational risk management, regulatory compliance training, policies and, procedures.
We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position can be based in the following location: Chesapeake, VA. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
What you'll do:
Inspect and review quality of claim files and provide feedback to employees as appropriate.
Responsible for ongoing coaching and driving awareness so employees understand how their work and contributions support the overall claims and Enterprise strategies.
Proactively find opportunities to improve operational effectiveness, member experiences and processes providing feedback to internal partners

Hire, develop, and coach claims employees for results delivery.

Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, supervised, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
What you have:
Bachelor’s degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
6 years of progressive customer service, operational, military or leadership experience to include a minimum of 2 years of claims handling experience required with demonstrated proficiency.
2 years of direct team lead, supervisory or management experience.
Experience using and interpreting data to make decisions.
Demonstrated leadership, initiative, customer service and/or claims handling skills.
Acquisition and maintenance of applicable insurance adjuster license within 6 months-time in role.
What sets you apart:
3+ years of recent Claims Manager or Supervisor experience
Experience handling physical damage claims
Strong experience coaching and developing claims adjusters to meet organizational and development goals
Master’s Degree and/or CPCU designation
US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner
Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $103,450-$197,730.

The Garage Mechanic is responsible for maintaining company vehicle fleet, and equipment in a safe and reliable condition as directed. They will also respond to guest service calls in a professional and courteous manner and is responsible for various equipment repairs as directed by Foreman.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on company vehicles or equipment.
- Operating tow truck for service calls and knowledge and skill to tow vehicles safely.
- Operating service truck in response to guest issues including vehicle lock outs, flat tires, out of gas, etc.
- Providing exceptional guest service according to Cedar Point standards when serving the guest, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions, or giving directions.
- Able to perform related automotive and light truck service work as directed.
- Willing to work any shift or days assigned.
- Adequate tool selection to perform basic repairs and service work.
- Knowledge to operate 4 or 8 ton wreckers and ability to tow vehicles safely.
- Follow all company safety rules and policies, make sure equipment is properly secured before maintenance work is performed.
Qualifications:
- Must have driver's license.
- High school Graduate or GED.
- ASE in auto (preferred).
- Must join laborers union (if necessary).
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions.
- May work in confined areas: exposure to chemicals, lubricants and fumes.
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
- Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
- Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
