Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

As a Materials coordinator, you will be supporting the supply chain function with day-to-day handling of merchandise/product ensuring accuracy – Receive, unpack, check and verify merchandise.

• Experience in use of handheld RF tools to receive merchandise/products into WMS.

• Experience in SW tools like SAP, Reynolds and Reynolds, Lightspeed, etc..

• Expertise in utilizing a warehouse ERP inventory system, Excel, shipping, receiving, safety management, materials handling, data entry, reporting, etc.

• Conduct the following – Stock checks, part number verification, Cycle Count, support physical inventory.

• Label parts during put away, picking or shipping process.

• Pick parts for order fulfillment, shipments, scrap requests, etc.

• Ensure orders/shipping materials are accompanied with proper delivery docs: Revised BOL, Manual tag, Packing slip, etc.

• Consolidate loads as required – Pack, Re-Pack, wrap product for shipping.

• Perform organization tasks to maintain a clean/safe work environment.

• Experience in the automotive industry would be preferred - Examples are Associates in automotive tech, wholesale parts at dealerships, parts to service, body shop work, large automobile manufacturers, etc.

• Experience and ability working with pallet jacks - Forklifts are not required.

• Willing to put in extra work during down times by organizing the shop, stacking tires, disposing of tires, picking up deliveries, etc.

• Must be comfortable working as a team.

Roles & Responsibilities

You will work closely with Engineering team on activities related to vehicle bench test such as – "Car-On-Bench" (COB). This is the most critical requirement.

Will work out of the Fremont location but will also travel to San Francisco, and Mountain View frequently.

Cross train to learn other warehouse functions.

Essential Duties:

• Ensure timely material flow within the facility as well as timely delivery in receiving material from other locations as well as preparation for shipment of parts to other facilities.
• Develop and implement standard process and strategies that enable production efficiency improvements.
• Lead, Supervise, and direct materials staff development through education, training, coaching, mentoring and certification in the execution of improvement priorities and the achievement of key performance indicators.
• Manage and optimize daily warehousing operations including staging, cycle count, and storage of materials.
• Ensure efficient and accurate materials presentation to support production operations.
• Partner with Quality, Purchasing and Production to develop effective and efficient solutions to customer quality and delivery issues and to achieve objectives and KPIs.
• Ensure high level of communication between planning, purchasing and production to ensure a high degree of customer satisfaction

JOB SUMMARY

Actively supporting the Stockroom function in all material related and control tasks. Accurately and safely perform warehouse related activities involving the physical movement of material with corresponding system transactions, supporting verifications, and documentation when necessary.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

TITLE: LOGISTICS AND MATERIAL PLANNER

REPORTS TO: OPERATIONS SUPPORT MANAGER

SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Operations Support Manager, the Logistics and Material Planner plays a critical role in optimizing the daily functions of the Stores department. In this capacity, this position will support various functions such as inventory management, materials and material handling, storage, and logistics. This position requires excellent skills in collaboration and communication as well as organization and planning.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Review and analyze inventory to ensure materials meet operational requirements and there is no overstock or shortages; uses inventory management system (Oracle) to ensure accurate and up-to-date information
• Continuously monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and identify and address areas of concern
• Use critical thinking to manage competing priorities and easily adapts to changing business requirements
• Conduct regular stock counts and audits; recommend corrective action if required
• Oversee and execute receiving process to ensure incoming materials match PO’s and meet quality requirements; oversee the shipping of repairs to outside vendors as needed
• Maintain organized storage systems within the Stores area to ensure all materials are labeled correctly and readily available
• Recommend continuous improvement activities which consistently improve the Stores function using industry best practices
• Manage small projects of various size, scope, and budget
• Collaborate with the Operations Support Manager to review and develop policies and procedures for the Stores area

Job Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate’s degree in business administration, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain/Procurement and/or equivalent relevant experience
• Five years of experience in inventory management or procurement in a semiconductor or manufacturing environment
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and negotiation skills

The annual base salary for this full-time position is between $92,930.00-$136,661.00 + bonus target + benefits. WORKING CONDITIONS:

The Logistics and Material Planner works primarily in a warehouse/office environment from Monday to Friday. The schedule may be altered from time-to-time to meet business or operational needs; may travel from building-to-building as needed. • Previous experience in a GMP-regulated facility strongly desired

Avantor's Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support.

In this role you will:

• Collect, clean, and returnlaboratory glassware; ensure timely turnaround of dirty glassware from labs.
• Conduct weekly laboratory safety auditsand document findings.
• Establish and manageconsumable stocking locations to ensure consistent availability.
• Oversee daily inventoryof lab consumables; restock and organize as necessary.
• Utilize barcode scanning systemsto place and track product orders.
• Receive, unpack, and organizeincoming supplies; dispose of packaging materials appropriately.
• Place procurement orderson behalf of customers using Avantor and Kenvue platforms.
• Monitor and manage inventory metricsincluding inventory turns, overhead, and customer expenditures.
• Perform scheduled deep cleaningand de-trashing of laboratory spaces.
• Clean around equipmentand monitor/remove biohazard waste in compliance with safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate recordsof daily, weekly, and monthly verifications in both physical and digital logbooks.
• Execute multiple cleaning protocolsas outlined in client-specific SOPs, varying in complexity.
• Ensure the availability of critical parts to avoid any disruptions in laboratory or manufacturing operations.
• Chemically inactivate equipmentcontaining residual product prior to maintenance or disposal.
• Operate specialized cleaning equipmentas required for sanitization tasks.
