We are looking for an experienced, patient-focused physician who thrives in a fast-paced ambulatory setting and takes pride in delivering high-quality care. This is a hands-on clinical role where you will function as the primary provider, managing a full urgent care patient panel independently.
*Clinical Responsibilities*
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with acute and episodic medical conditions. Perform common urgent care procedures including laceration repair, abscess drainage, splinting, fracture management, wound care, and DOT physicals. Order, review, and interpret diagnostic testing including in-house labs and imaging.
Prescribe medications including controlled substances as clinically indicated. Provide patient education on treatment plans, follow-up care, and preventive health. Document encounters thoroughly and accurately in the electronic medical record. Collaborate with clinic staff to maintain efficient patient flow, quality outcomes, and a strong patient experience.
*Practice Environment*
Average patient volume of 3-4 patients per hour, supporting thorough evaluation, quality care, and complete documentation. Fully equipped clinics with on-site diagnostics and Experity EMR.
Established workflows and clinical protocols to support consistent, high-quality care delivery. Clinical leadership and network resources accessible when needed.

* Full-time, rotating 3/4 schedule (3 shifts one week, 4 shifts the next)

*Compensation*
Hourly rate of $115-$140/hour based on experience, credentials, and clinic assignment. Productivity incentives available above base compensation. Signing and relocation bonuses may be offered based on operational need.

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Physicians Urgent Care. This role is pivotal in providing top-tier medical care to our community in urgent care settings. The ideal candidate will have robust clinical skills, a patient-focused approach, and the capacity to handle a variety of medical situations with a high degree of professionalism.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough medical histories and physical examinations.
- Order and interpret laboratory tests, X-rays, and EKGs; follow up on results in a timely manner.
- Prescribe medications and treatments effectively.
- Perform minor surgical procedures, modify treatment plans as necessary, and facilitate specialist referrals.
- Represent the clinic professionally within the medical community and to other institutions as needed.
- Collaborate with the Medical Director to update clinical protocols and practice guidelines.
- Provide exceptional customer service, organize and prioritize workload efficiently, and meet critical deadlines.
- Communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms.
- Engage with individuals from various cultural, socioeconomic, educational, racial, ethnic, and professional backgrounds.
- Adhere to standard clinical practice guidelines, including immunization and preventative health schedules.
- Undertake additional responsibilities including but not limited to staff education, quality assurance reviews, and other relevant duties.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree from an accredited Nursing or Physician Assistant program.
- Valid state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Active DEA registration.
- At least 2 years of experience in urgent care, family practice, or emergency department settings.
- Current BLS certification.

JOB DESCRIPTIONPermanent position; Full-timeJoin an Urgent Care facility practicing an extended spectrum of family practice, including acute and chronic carePhysicians have the ability to build their practice in their communities and offer continuity to the families they care for.The recruited physicians will join the group as Associate Medical Director.
We also have Area Medical Director and Regional Medical Director positions in DFW.
The clinics are open 8am-8pm M-F, and 8am-8pm
- Sat, and 8am-5pm

(12 hour shifts Mon-Sat and 9 hr shift on Sunday)The physicians at each clinic will have autonomy to structure their own schedules, as long as a minimum of 163 hours per month are worked per doctor.Each provider will work 21 Weekend Hours (Sat &Sun) each month.

per month)Must be willing to work some nights and at least one weekend per month.Must be willing to practice in a procedure oriented urgent care setting.
Some of the more common procedures are lacerations, I&D, x-ray, drug screening, work and sports physicals, Ortho splints and General Family Medicine routine care.
Each clinic has a 2-bed triage, and approximately 7-15 exam rooms, lab, Digital X-ray, EKG.Work with 1 physician, 1 or 2 mid-level practitioners (NP or PA), 2 lab techs, 2+ front-office personnel, and a center manager, who is then managed by an area manager.
See on average of 4 patients/ hour.
No clinic calls on days off, or hospital rounding.Enjoy excellent payer mix in the DFW area.
