The Role
The I&C chassis designer works within the I&C Technology team and is responsible for designing and implementing supporting structures to mount I&C electronic hardware for safety related systems at Power Plants. Typically, they would have an Engineering degree. The I&C Technology team has strong interfaces with electronic hardware design and qualification testing teams. This role requires technical problem solving, strong design skills, understanding of codes and standards, and effective communication/collaboration with other teams.

Roles & Responsibilities:
• Understanding system requirements, including EMC, Seismic, and other applicable standards.
• 2D / 3D modeling of Instrumentation and Controls chassis and other misc. electrical equipment
• Understanding of electrical schematics, connector panel design, wire harness design, cable routing design.
• Connector selection and design.
• Performing integration testing of the design and documenting test results.
• Performing Verification of Design Specifications and Reports.
• Engage customers to define scope, review results, and discuss technical risks.
• Work with Tech Leads to establish an effective work plan, including time estimates, schedule estimates, requirements and work processes.
• Apply engineering fundamentals and 1st order engineering principles to establish and/or confirm expected performance.
• Provide clear and complete analysis documentation in accordance with GE engineering procedures.
• Manage time effectively to provide quality deliverables within the expected project timeline.

Required Skills (Technical Competency):
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or related engineering degree from an accredited college of university.

• Knowledge of common 2D / 3D drawing programs.
• Experience with coding conventions, unit testing and integration testing of control cabinets and chassis.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in field.

- Creates 3D harness routes considering bend radius, separation, and maintainability and manage technical trade studies.

We are seeking an experienced Electrical QA Inspector with semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing experience to support a large-scale fab construction project. What you'll do:
The Production Technician is responsible for a wide range of skills including: wire, assemble, fit and mount sub-assemblies, components, and standard fixed assemblies in electrical control equipment. Perform assembly required for test preparation and final inspection. Use established power checking procedures and equipment to verify electrical/mechanical integrity of units assembled. Perform all assignments within acceptable quantity and perfect quality requirements in keeping within assigned functions.
- Assemble panelboards and/or switchboards to customer specification based on electrical drawings, manufacturing schematics, and work instructions with the use of hand and power tools.

Basic Qualifications:

Commercial Manager – Electrical Systems - Chicago
Our client is a world renowned business working on a large scale rail construction project. They are seeking a Commercial Manager to play a critical role in ensuring contractual and commercial alignment between the Systems Project Management Team and the broader Project Commercial function. This role supports the Lead Systems Integrator across variation management, claims, and interface coordination, ensuring consistency and commercial rigor across all Systems subcontracts.
Key Responsibilities include;
Contract Administration & Risk Management
- Lead the commercial and contractual administration of all Systems subcontracts, including traction power, signaling, telecommunications, SCADA, and track systems.
- Manage contractual notices, variations, claims, and extensions of time (EOTs) in line with established commercial governance procedures.
- Identify, quantify, and proactively mitigate commercial and legal risks associated with systems integration and interface activities.
- Maintain accurate, auditable correspondence registers, risk logs, and contractual records.
Change Management & Systems Integration
- Support the Systems Engineering team in assessing the commercial impacts of design changes, FAT/SAT outcomes, testing, and commissioning activities.

- Support monthly commercial reporting, risk reviews, dashboards, and cost-to-complete updates.
For this role, you must have an education in engineering, law, construction management or related areas whilst having 10–15 years’ experience in commercial management or contract administration on major rail, metro, or complex infrastructure Design & Build projects.
You do not need to be an expert in the electrical systems, there are experts who already understand those things that can support.
You do need to a solid understanding of systems integration, testing, and commissioning processes and their contractual implications.
Ideally, you will have experience working on Design-Build or Joint Venture projects valued at USD $200M+.
