Job Summary:
The Infection Preventionist is responsible for activities surrounding infection prevention and control with emphasis on
surveillance, investigation, data analysis/interpretation, consultation, and education. Through these activities, the
Infection Preventionist supports the Hospital Infection Prevention Program to improve patient outcomes in all clinical
areas as assigned by the director. This role serves as the Infection Prevention Officer.
Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Surveillance: Demonstrates clinical competency and expertise in epidemiology. Demonstrates
understanding of NHSN definitions of infections used for surveillance purposes. Participates in the
development of a plan for routine surveillance of assigned patient groups. Conducts ongoing infection
prevention and/or control interventions and implements as appropriate. Reviews and interprets infection
surveillance data on a regular basis. Identifies clusters/potential outbreaks early.
Investigation: Initiates preliminary case finding and risk factor evaluation for the early detection of potential

identified. Reports confirmed exposures (patient and/or personnel) to the appropriate internal and/or

Job Description:

The Cable Technician is responsible for installation and documentation of new and/or updated Inside Plant cable infrastructure to include conduit, cable trays, copper, coax, fiber and all associated elements in the Pentagon, Mark Center & buildings within the National Capital Region (NCR).
Responsibilities Include:
- Analyzes, administers, and maintains telecommunications and network cabling infrastructure.
- Responsible for tasks assigned by Coordinators in connection with service orders and repair activities related to Category 6 cabling, Voice over IP networks (VOIP), and fiber optic cabling infrastructure.
- Installs, maintains and repairs voice and data communications systems.
- Interprets service orders, circuit diagrams, and electrical schematics.
- Tests, locates, installs, and repairs cabling infrastructure associated with trouble calls, and performs routine maintenance.
- Verifies work order information and receipt of all necessary equipment and information.
- Verifies service by testing installed cabling, identifying, correcting, or escalating problems.
- Well versed in the use of network cabling test equipment including network testers, copper cable testers, fiber OTDRs and fiber power meters.

The Production Operator may work in one of three areas - Spooling, Stranding or Closing, and is responsible for his/her own safety and the safety of those around the machines. The Production Operator works under the direct supervision of a Production Supervisor and the technical oversight of the Process Engineering and Quality department.

- Record set-up information at the start of each order.
- Remove empty bobbins from the previously completed order and load full bundles of wire or bobbins using appropriate lifting devices.
- Weld or knot new wire new supply to trailing end of previous order (if applicable).
- Thread machine by pulling wire or strands through guides, tension rollers, and/or stranding or pre-forming heads.
- Secure, install and adjust the proper dies, stranding/pre-forming head, crushing rollers, post-former and carboloy rings as required by the order.
- Set the proper lay according to order specifications.

A licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner is responsible for the performance of diagnostic testing and the administration of prescribed respiratory therapy procedures and medications and related life support measures to patients with deficiencies, abnormalities, and diseases of the cardiopulmonary system. The Respiratory Care Practitioner assesses patient condition, reviews medical history, and documents patient progress and response to treatment according to hospital department and accrediting organizations standards. The Respiratory Care Practitioner is aware of and applies research-based current clinical practices for patient care. Contacts physician regarding patient status, to clarify orders, makes recommendations for therapy, and recognizes when contraindications are present. The Respiratory Care Practitioner, in collaboration with other licensed caregivers, helps to maintain the interdisciplinary plan of care based on patient and family response.
