The position will perform tasks involving aerial and ground telecommunications work at construction/service sites. The position may require operating aerial trucks and associated equipment with handling telecom line components. Candidate must be experienced working in a utility aerial lineman position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Safety first!
2. Safely operator a boom truck, climb poles as needed and utilize standard tolls of the trade.
3. Lead and motivate crew to meet OSHA, Customer and ElectriCom safety requirements, project specifications and daily production goals.

7. Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair overhead fiber lines.

11. Keep detailed record of work activity.
12. Ability to utilize bucket trucks, crawl spaces, ladders, ceilings, tunnels, and trenches to access various installation and construction points as required.
13. Ability to work aloft, either from a ladder, aerial device or by gaffing.
14. Ability to climb numerous telephone poles daily, approx. 20’ in height.
15. Ability to lift and/or pull 100 pounds several times each day.
16. Ability to endure long periods of standing, sitting or walking.
17. Ability to bend, twist, squat, reach above the head several times per day.
18. Continuous use of both hands to operate hand tools and perform other duties.
19. Ability to work full-time, in an outdoor environment and in all weather conditions.
20. Routine Training as assigned (LMS, OSHA-10 hour, etc.).
21. Roadside Traffic Control.

Position Summary

The Telecommunications Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day operations, design, evaluation, and maintenance of enterprise telecommunications systems across multiple hospital campuses and remote clinical locations. This role supports both clinical and administrative staff by ensuring reliable voice and unified communications services, including VoIP, TDM, analog systems, contact center platforms, and messaging solutions.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with enterprise telephony systems, vendor collaboration, and complex voice/data network environments.

Essential Responsibilities

• Manage and support all telephony moves, adds, and changes (MAC requests).
• Respond to and resolve daily ServiceNow (or similar ITSM) tickets for clinical and administrative users.
• Maintain inventory of telephones, softphones, extensions, voicemail boxes, headsets, and associated hardware.
• Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain unified communications platforms including Cisco, RingCentral, Avaya, and other voice applications.
• Perform system programming, tracing, log analysis, and station configuration.
• Support contact center applications, including skills-based routing, hunt groups, vector programming, and agent configuration.

Required Qualifications

As a member of the Telephony and Contact Center Technologies team, you will design, engineer, implement, and support Securian's enterprise telephony and contact center platforms. This role is focused on delivering secure, scalable, cloud-first communication solutions using RingCentral, NiCE CXone, and Cyara.

You will work closely with Contact Center Operations, Agile delivery teams, and technology partners to continuously improve customer and associate experiences across the enterprise.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Design, engineer, implement, and support enterprise UCaaS and CCaaS platforms

• Provide daily operational support for cloud-based telephony, unified communications, SIP services, and IVR solutions

Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience engineering and supporting cloud-based telephony or contact center platforms

• Strong understanding of VoIP technologies, SIP, and call routing concepts

• RingCentral and RingCentral Contact Center engineering

• NiCE inContact / CXone administration and development

Job Summary

The Telecommunication Project Manager (Towers & Wireless) is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing wireless infrastructure projects, including tower construction, upgrades, rooftop installs, and small cell deployments. This role ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with telecom industry standards and federal safety regulations. The Project Manager works closely with RF engineers, site acquisition teams, construction managers, vendors, and regulatory agencies to deliver high-quality wireless network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Execution

• Develop and oversee project plans for the construction, modification, or maintenance of macro towers, rooftops, and small cell infrastructure.
• Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables, including RF design objectives and carrier-specific standards (e.g., Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile).
• Ensure adherence to site acquisition, zoning, permitting, and environmental regulations, including NEPA and SHPO requirements.

Site & Construction Management

• Oversee tower erection, structural modifications, antenna and equipment installations (LTE, 5G), ensuring compliance with TIA/EIA-222-H standards.
• Coordinate with field teams, tower crews, fiber contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely material delivery and execution.
• Monitor site conditions using daily construction reports, photos, and site audit tools; resolve construction and access challenges proactively.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Work closely with wireless carriers (e.g., Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T), vendors, engineering teams, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates on project progress and addressing concerns.
• Liaise with municipalities, state DOTs, and regulatory bodies to secure permits, conduct inspections, and close out sites.

Problem-Solving & Risk Management

• Anticipate and resolve field issues including structural conflicts, shelter power upgrades, and fiber route constraints.
• Address permitting delays by coordinating with local authorities and adjusting project timelines accordingly.
• Develop contingency plans for adverse weather, crew availability, supply chain delays, or changes in project scope.
• Ensure full regulatory compliance with FAA, FCC, OSHA, and local safety standards.

Budget & Cost Control

• Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenses, vendor invoices, and cost variances through project accounting software or ERP systems.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through value engineering and supplier negotiations.
• Ensure vendors and subcontractors adhere to budgetary and SOW (scope of work) guidelines.

Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain accurate project records, including construction drawings, progress photos, permits, closeout packages, and safety documentation.
• Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project milestones, challenges, and completion status using project dashboards and tracking tools.
• Use project management software such as MS Project, Primavera, Smartsheet, or Sitetracker to track and report on key metrics.

Qualifications & SkillsEducation

• Preferred but not required – Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• PMP certification and/or OSHA 30 a plus.

Experience

• experience in the wireless telecommunications industry, specifically with macro towers, small cell, antennas, and RF equipment.
• Hands-on experience with tower construction, fiber installation, or modifications strongly preferred.

Technical Knowledge

• Understanding of cellular networks, RF transmission, fiber backhaul, and DAS (Distributed Antenna Systems).
• Familiarity with tower structural integrity, grounding, power systems, power tap-ups, and coax/fiber cabling.
• Knowledge of carrier standards, including site readiness and closeout expectations for Tier 1 providers.

Project Management Skills

• Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Primavera, or Smartsheet.
• Strong ability to manage multiple fast-paced deployments simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

Compliance & Safety

• Knowledge of OSHA, NATE, FCC, FAA, and environmental regulations related to wireless infrastructure.
• Experience ensuring compliance with industry safety standards, including climbing safety, fall protection, and rigging protocols.

Communication & Leadership

• Strong leadership, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for stakeholder updates, client management, and team coordination.

As an Outside Plant Construction Technician, you’ll perform hands‑on work installing and maintaining buried and aerial fiber facilities while operating industry‑standard construction equipment. • Supports fiber splicing, repairs, and outside plant maintenance activities.
• Restores landscapes to original condition upon project completion.

Required Qualifications

• Upon hire, must successfully pass all components of the Safety Training course curriculum.

The Consumer Sales Representative-Retail is a key contributor in TDS’s overall consumer strategy to grow, delight and retain our customers. The Consumer Sales Representative-Retail handles customers that walk-in to our Retail stores as well as handles inbound customer calls when no customers are in the office.

This position is the primary point of contact for consumer customers inquiring about products and services. This position takes ownership of thoroughly understanding the features and benefits of all the consumer products and services we offer. The Consumer Sales Representative-Retail also keeps current on all pricing, procedures, promotions, tools, and systems used to place orders, update billing and maintain record of customer contacts.

In addition to base pay and an excellent benefits package, the Consumer Sales Representative-Retail is assigned monthly sales goals established for key strategic products such as Voice, High Speed Data, TV, Mobile, and Strategic product sales. The Consumer Sales Representative-Retail must meet these goals and maintain customer service quality expectations for additional commission incentive programs.

• Deliver Sales & Retention Results through Providing Exceptional Customer Service: Exceed or Meet Monthly Sales Goals of Strategic Products such as but not limited to, Voice, High Speed Data, TV , Mobile, and Internet Content Product Offerings through face to face and over the phone interactions. Exceeds retention goals, by using save techniques that involve negotiation & interpersonal communication skills to prevent customer churn. Works to ask lifestyle questions and promote services to fulfill customer needs. Is also responsible for reselling customers on the benefits of having TDS service, subsequently protecting existing revenue.
• Moves/Adds/Changes/Disconnect Inquiries: Delight and retain existing customer base by consistently providing exceptional customer service on all billing inquiries, seasonal service requests, toll inquiries, and other miscellaneous inquiries. The Consumer Sales Representative-Retail will consult with customers on these service calls to identify customer technology needs and offer TDS product solutions they may not currently have and/or we can offer at a better value.
• Cash Management Procedures – Consumer Retail must closely follow cash management procedures to assure accuracy in all cash and payment handling from customer to deposit.
• Resolves construction related issues in specific markets by creating and completing Triage tickets.
• Keeps current with Promotions, Products and Technology necessary to Exceeding or Meeting Sales and Retention Goals. Regular attendance and promptness for work are essential functions of this position because absenteeism and tardiness significantly impact the ability of the Company and coworkers to meet our customers' needs
• Handles retail office responsibilities such as restocking supplies, unlocking and locking office, maintaining office cleanliness, participating in community events, and working with other departments to coordinate use of space.

Required Qualifications

• 1+ years’ experience in a sales or customer service role
