Role Summary/Purpose
The Loan Originator will be responsible for sourcing, vetting, fostering, and closing relationships for Merchants Mortgage & Trust’s various Bridge Loan programs. Candidates should have relevant experience in providing builders with Bridge financing and should have relationships with loan borrowers active in the residential real estate Fix & Flip & Ground Up construction space. Candidates should be highly motivated, have strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a competitive yet rewarding sales position.
Responsibilities

About the Role
The Analyst, Insurance Compliance, is responsible for ensuring all required insurance coverage(s) are in place at appropriate limits to demonstrate compliance with investor requirements. This position focuses on the efficient review of commercial insurance policies, effectively communicating exceptions to agents and borrowers, and working collaboratively to resolve issues promptly.
What You'll Do
- Serve as a point of contact for insurance related questions from clients, insurance agencies, brokers and internal contacts and proficiently explain insurance coverage requirements.
- Identify and communicate insurance related issues and trends and develop working knowledge of all investor insurance guidelines and recommendations.
- Review Loan Agreements, Appraisals, Engineering, Seismic, and Environmental reports to determine loan-specific information relative to insurance requirements.
- Perform annual review of insurance coverages by reviewing policies including all schedules and endorsements, invoices, and/or declaration pages and certificates to determine compliance.
- Ensure timely follow up occurs on all assigned accounts to ensure expedient resolution of all identified exceptions.
- Drafting and filing insurance waivers with supporting documentation on non-compliant insurance issues.
- Communicate with all applicable parties regarding any lender placed insurance issues and process application for lender placement of insurance where necessary.
- Responsible for updating and maintaining all insurance information and documentation within Arbor servicing systems.
- Assist with insurance related reporting to investors and auditors.
- Assist Portfolio Management team at Arbor with the handling of claims issues as needed (including requesting loss runs and obtaining loss adjustor information.
- Meets weekly productivity goals and standards as outlined by their direct supervisor.
- Maintains a minimum internal accuracy score of 95% on all assigned reviews.
- Assist in reviewing and assigning documentation received through the mail to ensure all internal tasks are documented and updates are correctly delivered to the correct internal party.
- Process and review insurance endorsements and notices of cancellation and non-renewal.
- Process and review insurance for loans involved in securitization.
- Communicate with borrowers, agents, and portfolio management in a clear, consistent manner on insurance related issues.
What We're Looking For
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Associates’ or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience preferred
- Experience: Prior experience in commercial insurance or a related commercial servicing environment is preferred, but not required.

We are seeking a Loan Surveillance Manager to join our dynamic team and play a critical role in safeguarding the performance and long-term viability of our commercial loan portfolio. What You’ll Do
As a Loan Surveillance Manager, you will:
- Monitor quality and performance of an assigned commercial loan portfolio
- Responsible for timely satisfaction and compliance with Investor requirements

- Engage in ongoing communication with appropriate Agency counterparts relative to issues at the properties, and borrowers’ efforts to stabilize the assets.
- Request and review documentation relative to any Escrowed Reserves to determine and recommend release of funds held in connection with property improvement projects
- Request and review documentation relative to any insurance losses, easements, partial releases, and any other issues that may arise to determine and recommend release of funds to ensure restoration
- Assist with other related projects as needed

Responsibilities
Responsible for servicing and administering assigned accounts in a fiduciary capacity in accordance with account agreements, terms of legal documents, banking regulations, federal/state laws, and internal policies and procedures. As the Global Controller for the consolidated company, the position will oversee & influence accounting operations and directly supports the CAO, CFO & other executive/leadership teams. This role is an integral part of our operations as it will oversee daily financial operations including accounting, treasury, and management reporting. The role requires proven industry experience as an accountant, preferably in a senior role, as well as management experience in order to delegate and grow the team. As a strong communicator and skilled financial analyst, the goal is to assist streamlining closing cycles, procurement, payroll, and financial reporting as well as produce thorough financial status reports for senior management to help drive strategy, improve our operational efficiency, and aid in our continued growth.

- Direct all aspects of consolidated global financial reporting, ensuring seamless integration of international subsidiaries while maintaining accuracy in financial statements
- Accountable for ensuring consistent compliance of corporate accounting principles and procedures in full compliance with US GAAP and coordinate with local accountants on local reporting requirements (e.g. IFRS)

- In partnership with tax department, manage global tax accounting and transfer pricing
- Manage and drive efficient monthly and quarterly close cycles by leveraging & evaluating existing tooling as well as support innovation by adopting AI, new advanced tooling, and automation to enhance speed and accuracy
- Design, monitor, and enforce an internal control environment to protect global assets and ensure organizational integrity
- Maintain organizational readiness for potential M&A and capital market events by maintaining an 'audit-ready' environment and leading the technical purchase accounting / operational integration of new entities
- Build and foster a strong team culture as we scale and delegate further functions & specialization as well as provide training, mentorship, feedback, and coaching to the accounting teams and direct reports

Minimum Qualifications, Education, and Skills
- 10+ years of experience in senior accounting/finance leadership roles
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics (CPA preferred)
- Proven track record managing multi-entity consolidations, timely close cycles, audits, transfer pricing, financial controls and international compliance across US GAAP, IFRS, and local GAAPs
- Familiarity with Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) or subscription-based revenue recognition and financial reporting
- Strong interpersonal skills for managing relationships with execs, auditors, banking partners, and external stakeholders
- Ability to manage, coach, and lead teams, ensuring alignment between accounting and the broader business
- A significant plus is proficiency with NetSuite, FloQast, and Salesforce and experience leveraging AI tooling for process automation and optimization
