The compensation model varies depending upon the course delivery format. For a synchronous Live Online course, a reasonable estimate for this position is $1,425 - $5,700 total per course. General Duties
The department seeks candidates who can support the success of all students through inclusive curriculum, classroom environment, and pedagogy. Qualifications

PURPOSE STATEMENT: The job of Lead HVAC & Refrigeration Technician is done for the purposes of providing journey-level skilled work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning, heating; installing, managing, and repairing chilled water systems, chillers, boilers; reviewing work requests; assigning and leading the work of other technicians; conducting scheduled maintenance and repair surveys; inspecting completed work; ensuring completion of projects in accordance with trade standards; providing information on the operation of HVAC systems; and supporting other skilled trades in completing work assignments.
This job reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Analyzes blueprints, schematics, and drawings for existing and proposed HVAC systems for the purpose of identifying the location of new and existing systems and determining the efficient installation of additional equipment/systems.
Confers with immediate supervisor and assists with the coordination of day-to-day activities (e.g.
periodic lubrication; filter cleaning; changing belts, repairing system leaks, checking water tower components, trouble/issues phone call response, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the proper and efficient maintenance and repair of District HVAC.
Coordinates with administration and other trades for the purpose of completing projects/work orders efficiently.
Coordinates personnel regarding procedures and/or status of work orders (e.g.
establishing work schedules, reviewing processes to be undertaken, etc.) for the purpose of providing direction and information for decision-making, taking appropriate action, and/or complying with health and safety regulations.
Diagnoses causes of problems and/or failures in heating/air conditioning (e.g.
blowers, filters, the flow of condenser water, water treatment system, variable air volume (VAV) systems, and pumps, etc.) for the purpose of identifying equipment and/or systems repair and replacement needs.
Installs electrical HVAC system components (e.g.
alarms, switches, timers, service disconnects, relay, controllers, variable frequency drive (VFD), etc.) for the purpose of providing enhanced and/or upgraded capabilities.
Estimates materials and/or equipment needed to initiate/complete work projects for the purpose of ensuring timely implementation and completion of projects.
Fabricates equipment parts (e.g drain pans, repiping, reducting, etc.) for the purpose of meeting specialty needs and/or replacing discontinued or unavailable parts.
Implements assigned programs and/or projects (e.g.
inspection schedules, preventive maintenance programs, new District projects, work orders, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring optimal HVAC operation and conformance to established guidelines.
Informs personnel regarding procedures and/or status of work orders for the purpose of providing information for making decisions, taking appropriate action, and/or complying with health and building regulations.
Inspects completed work (e.g.
heating units, building exhaust fans, ventilation units, repair of gas heaters and boilers, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the quality of work standards are met and identifying preventive maintenance requirements.
Installs heating/air conditioning equipment and systems (e.g.
boilers, chilled water systems, etc.) for the purpose of providing enhanced and/or upgraded HVAC capabilities.
Maintains a variety of files and records (e.g.
time sheets, inventory, work orders, labor/material estimates, equipment repair manuals, service records, etc.) for the purpose of providing up-to-date references and audit trail.
Manages operation and performance records (e.g.
periodic lubrication schedules, heating and cooling performance, diagnosis of electrical systems, testing of refrigerant and condensation systems, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring timely review and assessment.
Monitors contract work (e.g.
coordination of contractor work schedules and performance, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring contract terms are fulfilled and work standards are met.
Oversees and coordinates assigned personnel regarding procedures, the status of work orders, and the day-to-day activities and operations (e.g.
establishing work schedules, reviewing processes to be undertaken, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring that assignments are completed in a safe, proper, and timely manner, maximizing the efficiency of the workforce.
Participates in meetings, workshops, and training (e.g.
new employee training, 3rd party contractor meeting, maintenance department meetings, etc.) for the purpose of conveying, gathering information, offering recommendations required to complete HVAC and training personnel.
Procures equipment and supplies (e.g.
overseeing inventory requirements, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining the availability of required items in order to complete jobs efficiently.
Responds to emergency situations during and after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate operational and safety concerns.
Tests and repairs heating and air conditioning systems and components; swimming pool equipment (e.g.
braze or solder tubing; charge systems with refrigerant gas; condensers, valves and coils, piping, boilers, air handlers, motors, etc.) for the purpose of providing solutions for HVAC system operation for a safe and comfortable work/learning environment.
OTHER FUNCTIONS: Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of District’s HVAC and general maintenance.
EXPERIENCE: Job related experience with increasing levels of responsibility is required.
EDUCATION: No specific education is required.
EQUIVALENCY: Any combination equivalent to three (3) years of journey-level experience in the air conditioning, heating and refrigeration field, including one (1) year with the responsibility to lead/supervise the work of others.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES: SKILLS are required to perform multiple, technical tasks with a need to occasionally upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions.

General Duties

Develop and manage effective New Product Development NPD and sustaining engineering practices to support Light Unitary Controls products.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Development Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the campus Annual Fund and fundraising efforts. They are an invaluable member of the development team shepherding the work related to special events and development volunteers while reflecting the Jeremiah Program (JP) mission, and encompassing the values, vision, and purpose of the program. This is a full time on-site position and reports to the Director of Development.
The ideal applicant will possess a deep commitment to and understanding of current education, early childhood, housing, and all social justice issues intersecting with poverty. They should have prior experience working within a structured and effective development department and bring an entrepreneurial approach both to their career path and development work.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Community Outreach & Partnerships
- In collaboration with the Development and Campus Support team, build presence and engagement of JP within the community by assisting with the following:Identify partners and opportunities that align to JP’s mission and brand
- Represent JP at community events
- Plan and coordinate logistics for outreach presentations that will engage stakeholders and partners
- Provide Community Tours
- Attend key networking and professional meetings
- Coordinate communication, social media and online presence with JP’s Campus Support Team and Marketing and Communications team to build visibility within the community.
- Assist with planning and implementation of JP events that engage local donors and volunteers and raise JP’s visibility in the local community.
- Develop creative ways to engage donors, volunteers and community through virtual platforms.
Volunteer Engagement
- Work in collaboration with the Family Services team to ensure seamless enlistment of all volunteers
- Train and report fundraising volunteer engagement in partnership with Campus Support Team
- Create a thriving experience for community volunteers that increases volunteer engagement and encourages participation, raising JP’s visibility and contributing financially to the organization.
- Collaborate with Family Services to plan formal and informal recognition activities to recognize the contributions of volunteers to the campus.
- Leverage volunteers and interns to increase organizational capacity within Rochester Development
In-Kind Donation Solicitation
- Build alliances with key community constituencies (corporate, education, civic) to develop on-going, effective and efficient in-kind and volunteer streams.
- Collaborate with the enterprise-wide data systems coordinator to help coordinate reports and constituent information needed for direct mail, donor records, constituent giving analysis, and other related projects as needed.
- Participate in the identification, cultivation, and stewardship of potential donors from various constituent groups, internal and external.
- Coordinate production of mailings and appeals (both electronic and print) in collaboration with the Campus Support Team and Marketing and Communications team.
General Development Support
- Support planning and implementation of organization’s signature fundraising event (gala) alongside external consultants/event management.
- Assist in the planning and execution of donor cultivation, recognition, and engagement events and serve as liaison for third party fundraising events.
- Collaborate with Development and Campus Support Team members on the integration of Raiser’s Edge in initiatives and strategies.
- Maintain donor records in Raisers Edge (RE).
- Participate in Development events and Development team meetings, seminars and workshops.
- Partner with operations manager and program leaders to fulfill specific parent and student needs.
- Collaborate with the Development Director on the planning and implementation of key initiatives of the Annual Fund.
Communication
- Coordinate development-related communication with Campus Support Team, Marketing and Communications team, and external communication consultants.
- Maintain campus communications/appeal calendar.
- Ensure up-to-date information about community services and resources is available, working closely with Campus Support Team and Marketing and Communications team on local social media and other relevant digital content.

- A BA/BS degree in relevant field is strongly preferred

SALARY & BENEFITS
Salaries for people entering this role typically fall between $45,000 to $53,000 and are commensurate with relevant experience and qualifications and in alignment with internal equity. Midtown Manhattan (5 days/week in office)
A private investment firm is seeking an experienced Event Manager to lead its client events platform. This individual will own the strategy, planning, and execution of a portfolio of high-touch events designed to support relationship development and brand positioning among a senior, institutional audience.
This is a highly visible, externally facing role partnering closely with senior leadership and investment professionals. The position requires strong judgment, operational rigor, and the ability to deliver polished, thoughtfully designed experiences with consistency and discretion.
Responsibilities
Event Strategy & Oversight
- Lead end-to-end execution of an annual flagship conference for approximately 200+ senior attendees
- Plan and execute a series of curated gatherings throughout the year (regional dinners, thematic events, select receptions)

YOUR DAY TO DAY
- Responsible for providing all of the estimating and pricing on the assigned project that is to be performed. This includes conceptual estimates, schematic estimates, design development estimates, and estimates for bidding.
- Responsible for ensuring the estimating and pricing for the project is completed on time so that other members of the project team can review it and make recommendations and/or adjustments.
- Responsible for accurate estimate and pricing, which includes additional research and the correct use of additional resources, including subcontractors.
- Submits requests to architects and /or owners to obtain clarifications and answers to questions, contradictions, conflicts, inadequacies, and other confusing issues represented by the plans, specifications and other documentation.
- Presents estimates to the owner in a clean and clear format.
- Provides all estimate breakouts required by the bid documents, the client, or Okland personnel.
- Includes the following estimates where applicable: taxes, insurances, bonds, Owner Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP), special wage rates, productivity, and fees & permits.
- Uses sound estimating judgment in making decisions by frequently referring to comparable historical data on related projects, with cost escalations added as required.
- Estimates complete concrete general requirements or conditions, including demolition, earthwork, crane needs, ready-mix adjustments, steel embeds and rough carpentry.
- Reviews and prices all items before others see it.
- Uses estimating software for all concrete general requirements and structural excavation/backfill estimates.
- Ensures that the subdivision, section, and elements descriptions of estimates are properly coded estimating software.
- Turns in complete concrete estimate to company officers for pricing review.
- Establishes a rough draft schedule of the project in order to develop estimate pricing, general conditions, and concrete general requirement.
- Provides estimate for project general conditions, as requested.
- Sets up the recap on the project, as requested.
- Maintains estimates by deleting and/or archiving those not used in the last seven years.
- Maintains a strictly high level of confidentiality regarding financial specifics of projects, including estimates, bids, contract amounts, change orders, cost, financing arrangements, fees and other financial information.
- Reviews established budget estimate and bid, and assists the project manager and job cost accountant with setting up the proper codes and organization of the job cost report.
- Markets the company to the owner and architectural team; engages the Business Development Department in pursuing future opportunities.
- Regular, timely, and predictable attendance is required for this position.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists with the solicitation of bidders and plan distribution, as requested, by developing and compiling a list of bidders invited to bid the project and prequalifying a bidder for a project.
- Assist with bids, as requested, by taking the role of bid captain; this includes taking bids, bid pricing, analyzing bid packages, putting together a bid, and turning in a bid.
- Assists the project manager in subcontracting the project and getting the project started.
- Attends and represents the company in project estimating meetings, project review meetings, and pre-bid meetings (as requested).
YOU ARE READY FOR THIS ROLE IF
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management (or related field) preferred
- 3-5 years of scheduling and cost estimating experience, including reading and researching blueprints, quantity take-offs, and estimating practices.
- Knowledge of construction and renovation terms, materials, techniques, procedures, and practices
- Knowledge of architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Knowledge of construction cost estimating techniques, procedures, and practices, including material quantity take-offs, labor unit work hours, labor rate analysis, and material unit pricing.
- Knowledge of value engineering and total life cycle costing techniques, procedures, and practices
- Knowledge of construction cost estimating computer software.
- Knowledge of PC-based project management software and other applications (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, and database programs).
- Ability to analyze bids, cost proposals, and cost estimates, including labor rates, fringe benefits, overhead, and profit.
- Ability to read, interpret, and understand construction drawings and specifications.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
