Hospital is looking to hire a non-operative sports medicine fellowship physician for our well-established practice located in Northeast Nebraska. This physician's role would continue to grow the practice of non-operative sports medicine focused orthopedic practice and contribute towards current and future athletic partnerships within the area. Our orthopedic team consists of three physicians, one podiatrist and a full team of skilled advanced practice providers. The position will evaluate, diagnose and treat patients presenting with a wide variety of orthopedic and musculoskeletal illness and injury, including limb and back pain and reduced mobility and function.

Eligible physician will be BE/BC in sports medicine. Position requires MD/DO, Residency in IM, EM, FM, Peds, and Neuromusculoskeletal or rehab medicine with a fellowship in sports medicine.

Hospital provides athletic training (nine athletic trainers) services to several schools (12 high schools and 1 community college) in and around the city. The growing team of athletic trainers has a long history of providing quality health care for area athletes. The experienced and professional staff of full-time, certified athletic trainers can meet the needs of area athletes and their families. Their goal is to keep athletes safe and ready for competition in the most efficient manner possible.

In October 2021, the hospital broke ground on its new 260,000 square foot, $55M fieldhouse. The fieldhouse is an extension of the hospital's mission to enhance community wellness. It will offer indoor and outdoor fitness and recreation areas, including tennis courts, a football field, a soccer field, basketball courts, batting cages, youth activities spaces, a suspended track for walking and running and more. Expected completion is early 2024.

With the addition of the new fieldhouse, Hospital has added a Sports Performance Center and hired a performance & training director.
