Connolly Consulting Engineers, PLLC is looking for a full-time Electrical or Mechanical Engineer to join our commercial buildings mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering team. The right candidate will be an experienced engineer with a professional engineer's license, who is interested in accepting a growing level of experience and responsibility for both mechanical and electrical design work. We need someone with a technical design background, who is also detail-oriented and able to coordinate a project from proposal through construction phases. They will report to the Principal Engineers, and while they will not have any direct reports under them, they will help lead the MEP project team.
Primary Responsibilities:

Job Summary: Generally responsible for supervision and technical direction over a team of engineers and designers when functioning as a lead engineer. As lead engineer, responsibilities include total delivery of the civil/structural deliverables and services on time, within performance budget and meeting quality expectations. Duties may include performing advanced engineering work serving as a technical specialist for complex engineering assignments. Work at this level requires extensive progressive experience in civil/structural engineering and involves utilization of project controls for cost, schedule and quality of projects. Primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Position Summary:
The Electrical Engineer provides all engineering, technical and administrative support required to take a project from start through completion. This individual will provide AutoCAD/Revit drafting (as required), calculations, system design for various power and low voltage systems, is responsible for client satisfaction, and coordinates manpower assignments and other project related functions as specified by the supervisor. WHO WE NEED
We are seeking a versatile and team-oriented Structural Project Engineer in our Structural Team, ideally located in the Syracuse or Albany, NY area, or at our Endwell, NY office. Candidates located outside the designated office locations may qualify for full remote work, subject to company policy. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering, with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. A PE is also required. The City of Renton is recruiting for a Civil Engineer at the 1 or 2 level to join the Surface Water Engineering section. This is an exciting opportunity to work on projects that improve drainage, reduce stormwater pollutant discharge to creeks, and improving fish habitat. These projects improve public safety and the natural environment of our growing city. Essential Functions for Civil Engineer 1 and 2
- Participate in the selection of consultants, negotiate consultant agreements, monitor consultant progress and expenditures, manage contract, and provide technical directions to consultants; oversee the work produced by consultants to ensure that consultant deliverables are of high quality, meet the objectives of the project, and conform to applicable standards and regulations.

- Review architectural and engineering plans and drawings for construction projects ensure compliance with City ordinances and policies; approve plans or indicate deficiencies with corrective action guidelines.
- Prepare, compile, and analyze complex calculations and/or statistical and technical information involving assigned engineering specialty including utilities, construction, transportation and others; review calculations, analyses, and designs of others to ensure conformance with City engineering standards and/or to inform decision making.
Civil Engineer 1 EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Or minimum 4 years of relevant education and experience
- Valid driver's license.
- Successful passing of a required background check.
- Successful passing of a required driving record check.
Civil Engineer 2 EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of civil engineering experience.

About the Role
The MEP Electrical Engineer and Senior MEP Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design, documentation, and coordination of electrical building systems for commercial, institutional, and mixed use projects. These professionals will collaborate closely with architects, owners, and multidisciplinary MEP teams to deliver technically sound and constructible solutions.
The Senior MEP Electrical Engineer will take on expanded technical leadership, detailed system design responsibility, and mentorship of junior staff.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities for both roles include:
• Conceptualize electrical systems and communicate design strategies to clients and stakeholders

Qualifications
MEP Electrical Engineer

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in MEP building design
• Experience across multiple project phases from schematic design through construction administration
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office
• Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA codes, and applicable building codes
• Experience with engineering calculations and energy compliance documentation
• LEED Accreditation preferred
Senior MEP Electrical Engineer
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering
• 6 to 10 years of experience in the MEP buildings industry

• Demonstrated experience leading electrical system design for complex projects
