Principal Accountabilities
- Daily Engagement of workforce through direction of work assignments, compensation, communication, recognition, development and coaching, etc
- Manage the workflow process associated with electronics and some electromechanical areas of the facility, including the ASRS system.
- Develop preventative maintenance procedures to maintain equipment associated with electronics and limited electromechanical equipment throughout the facility; including the management of parts inventory and corrective actions.
- Manage safety culture through training and observations
- Liaison to contractors and Utilities department for projects and work orders

Position Summary:
Provides our organization Vascular R&D and Production Engineering staffs, Legal, Marketing, and external clients with data regarding questions and problems concerning materials, processes, new technology, and methods related to the development, production, and use of products.
This data will be generated utilizing microscopic (electron and optical) and/or elemental analyses. The data will be in the form of images and/or elemental spectra. Official reports will be written, archived, and issued by the analyst. Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
* Job would require 50-75% SEM laboratory work involving hands-on analysis (non automated program).
* Perform more advanced sample preparation such as inorganic materials or metallurgraphic sample preparation.
* Evaluates written requests to perform materials analysis. Determines if the request can be accomplished with in-house technology or if it has to be assigned to an authorized, outside laboratory.
* Prepares samples for the specific type of analysis required or requested (FEM, SEM, EDS, etc.).
* Performs analysis according to the Departmental Operating Procedure (DOP) for the instruments used in the analysis.
* Analyzes specific characteristics of the material, process, or failure morphology by comparing with known characteristics from which to draw conclusions.
* Creates reports using the Laboratory Information System (LIMS), for all requests. Archives data, images, and analyses.
* Maintains laboratory instrumentation in good working. Arranges for service and repairs from vendor for major problems.
* Creates Departmental Operating Procedures (DOPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Software Validations (VRS), Engineering Orders (EOs), and testing protocol in order to assure consistent and proper operation, calibration, and maintenance of the laboratory's instrumentation.
Qualification & Experience:
* Bachelor's degree or 2 years from a microscopy school or materials degree with 6 months to 2 year experience using the electron microscope plus 2-5 years of related work experience with a good understanding of specified functional area, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
* Working knowledge and application of business concepts, procedures and practices.
* Report writing, analytical abilities, detailed oriented and cGMP (compliance) awareness.
* Will perform this job in a quality system environment. Failure to adequately perform tasks can result in noncompliance with governmental regulations.

JOB SUMMARY
The Industrial Engineer supports manufacturing sustainment operations and new product introductions (NPI) for advanced AI/ML and GPU-accelerated server rack platforms. This position is part of the core team launching new manufacturing technologies at our production facility in Florence, KY. Avantor is looking for a Manufacturing Operations Supervisor to oversee the daily planning, implementation and maintenance of the manufacturing activities of a specific area.
The Supervisor ensures the effective use of materials, equipment and personnel in producing quality products at minimum costs and selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. May also assist higher level supervisor.
This is a full-time position at our Carpinteria, CA location.
Work Schedule: 2nd shift: M-F, 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm with additional hours as needed.
What we're looking for:
- Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred in a technical field, preferably life science, chemistry and/or engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of progressive manufacturing experience and responsibilities, 1 of which must be in a supervisory capacity; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Life science, chemistry, chemical engineering or chemical production experience.
- Experience in cGMP manufacturing a plus.
- Additional Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Chemical and/or Aseptic production processes and applications within similar industry preferred.
- Highly organized and self-motivated individual who can work independently with little supervision.
- Must have strong leadership skills and problem solving abilities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to perform risk assessment of products and processes and develop corrective measures.
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.
- Computer literacy applied to scheduling, procedure revisions and data management is required.
- Ability to take initiative, meet deadlines, and lead people in a team environment essential.
- Proven track record of reducing costs through process improvements and efficiencies.

How you will thrive and create an impact:
- Supervise the activities of the manufacturing employees.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate departmental activities (including staffing) to fulfill sales orders, meet inventory requirements, and deliver manufactured products in accordance with established procedures and approved processes.
- Responsible for site security, safety and proper shutdown of site at conclusion of shift.
- Supervise and participate in the production operations.
- Monitor and improve the efficiency, output and safety of manufacturing processes through observations and measurements as well as by collecting and interpreting data
- Ensures proper manufacturing processes are followed in accordance to written documentation (i.e., Batch Records, cGMPs, SOP's, Work Instructions).
- Maintains and revises procedures associated with production processes to ensure accuracy, consistency and product quality.
- Create, edit, and maintain necessary documentation (SOP's, Work Instructions).
- Ensure all manufacturing safety policies and procedures are implemented and maintained at all times.
- Investigates and eliminates departmental non-conformities in manufacturing processes by employing root cause analysis and implements corrective and preventative actions.
- Analyze and design lean manufacturing cells using effective systems to optimize use of space, equipment, material, personnel and increase capacities.
- Assist in developing plant layout in planning rearrangement of facilities, equipment and operations for better utilization of space and to increase capacities.
- Supports process validations by defining process to quality parameters, executing protocols, collecting/interpreting data and supporting protocol summary where needed.
- Monitors work for accuracy, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
- Trains, motivates, monitors and evaluates performance of manufacturing employees.
- Develop and implement departmental cross training initiatives to allow for flexible resources and aid in improved capacities.
- Actively participates with internal and/or customer audits.
- Participates with activities directly related to ISO certification, and on-going conformance.
- Works closely with internal departments to assure commitment to customer is met in a timely manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Pay Transparency:
The expected pre-tax pay for this position is
$69,000.00 - $110,975.00Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.

Position Summary
The Lead Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems that support high-quality, cost-effective production. This role partners closely with Product Development, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure engineering solutions are seamlessly integrated into the manufacturing environment and aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage the Manufacturing Engineering team to support production goals in close collaboration with Operations.
- Develop and execute manufacturing strategies that improve efficiency, quality, throughput, and cost performance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and automation projects.

Qualifications

- 7+ years of experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven people management and project management experience.
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with molding processes; rubber and plastic molding experience strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of ISO 9001 and regulatory compliance requirements.

About the Role
A well-established advanced manufacturing organisation is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with strong TIG welding experience to support welding processes within a high-mix precision manufacturing environment.
This role focuses on developing, improving, and supporting GTAW (TIG) and orbital welding processes used in stainless steel tubing assemblies and precision components. The position works closely with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to ensure welding operations are robust, repeatable, and suitable for scaled manufacturing.

This position is responsible for optimizing processes, strengthening product quality, supporting operational performance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
