As a Physical Therapist you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact every day - helping patients regain mobility, restore function, and improve their quality of life. In this dynamic role, you will lead the evaluation, planning, and delivery of personalized treatment plans prescribed by physicians. Beyond patient care, you will play a key role in shaping the department's success by contributing to operational excellence, driving performance improvement initiatives, and actively participating in continuous quality improvement (CQI) efforts. This position reports to the Director of Rehabilitation.

Location: Wilson Health in Sidney, Ohio

Schedule: This position is scheduled to work 15 hours/week, day shifts, in both inpatient and outpatient, Monday-Saturday, and includes an on-call rotation for Sundays.

Rehab Department Hours: Hours of operation are Monday-Thursday, 7:00am-6:30pm, and Friday, 7:00am-5:00pm. Saturday and Sunday are on an on-call, as needed basis. The Rehab Department utilizes Epic.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Patient evaluations - Perform comprehensive assessments and review medical histories and physician referrals to determine therapy needs
• Establish goals to enhance independence with daily living - Develop personalized care plans based on patient goals, diagnosis, and progress and adjust as needed
• Therapeutic Interventions - Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities such as ultrasound or electrical stimulation, gait training, posture correction, and pain management strategies
• Communicate and counsel patients and families on lifestyle modifications and injury prevention while coordinating care with physicians, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited College or School of Physical Therapy

CMA I Required Minimum Training and Education: High school diploma or equivalent.  Completion of an accredited medical assisting program with one year of patient care experience preferred.

CMA Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations:  Must be certified through American Medical Technologist (AMT), American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), National Healthcareer Association (NHA), National Association of Healthcare Professionals (NAHP), Medical Career Assessments (MedCA), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), or National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP). Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.

Physical Requirements: Continuous requirements are to perform job functions while standing, walking and sitting. Ability to bend at the waist, kneel, climb stairs, reach in all directions, fully use both hands and legs, possess good finger dexterity, perform repetitive motions with hands/wrists/elbows and shoulders, reach in all directions. Works under the direction of a Radiation Oncologist and performs responsibilities associated with the localization of tumors and the administration of radiation therapy. Possess knowledge in principles, practices and procedures involved with the operation of ionizing radiographic and radiation therapy equipment. The knowledge of human anatomy and proper positioning of the patient to provide radiation therapy treatment. Able to perform CT Simulations in accordance with the instructions of the radiation oncologist. Is responsible for patient safety protocols and adhere to departmental policies and procedures. Participates in the department's performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities. Maintains patient work flow and problem solve treatment issues. Have excellent technical and communication skills and shows ability to develop relationships with the staff, patients and families. Upholds NYS Licensure, registration in Radiologic Technology, ARRT and BLS certification.

Delivery of Radiation Therapy Administer prescribed dose of radiation therapy under the direction of a radiation oncologist, in accordance with regulatory standards and hospital policies, practices and procedures, including but not limited to:
•    Positions patients for radiation therapy treatments with accuracy; utilizing image guidance.
•    Simulates patients under the guidance of radiation oncologist and make custom immobilization devices.
•    Performs daily quality assurance checks on linear accelerators and CT/simulation
•    Ensure that all applicable treatment information and quality assurance checks; regarding the proposed treatment plan is correct before the start of radiation.
•    Trains and supervises students during their clinical rotation, and or shadow program; Orient new radiation therapist and act as their mentor.
•    Acts as a consistent team member with patient care as the priority. Effectively rotates as needed with seamless efficiency. Able to treat efficiently with all radiation therapists
•    Able to effectively communicate with Radiation Oncologist, Dosimetrist, Physicist and support team. 
•    Adheres to punch in/punch out policy. PEAR reports for missed punches are signed by supervisor before the end of the pay period
•    Correctly identify patient in ARIA and accurately deliver the treatment to correct patient. Identify each patient and treatment area prior to treatment according to policy.
•    Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential

The Electro-Optics (EO) department is responsible for requirements decomposition, detailed design and production support of the EO Sensors/Seekers, including the detectors, cryogenic systems, and structures making up the sensor/seeker subsystems. The multi-disciplined department includes engineers that may be responsible for the following: Designing, modeling/analyzing, and verifying optical components within a sensor/seeker designing the structures that hold the optics, including any mechanisms needed to move optics, as well as the cryogenic systems used to cool and maintain the temperature of EO detectors. Relaying critical detector interface and performance requirements to detector suppliers and verifying requirements are met. Utilize many different engineering discipline skills to assemble, test and verify optical, electrical, and mechanical components as they are built up into the sensor/seeker subsystem

Qualifications You Must Have

• Master’s degree in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major.
• Experience with Electro-Optical subsystems.
• This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
