Job Summary

Responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of a Natural Gas Power Plant. This includes water treatment systems, circulating water systems, condensate/feedwater systems, heat recovery steam generator systems, turbine systems, gas turbine systems, generator systems, control systems, electrical systems, and various other plant systems. Is required to show initiative in his/her area of responsibility.

The salary range for this position is $48.00 to $57.47 per hour plus amazing benefits and other incentives. Additional compensation for overtime work.

Key Accountabilities:

•Proficient in primary skill required of position.

•Proficient mechanical and electrical skills for maintaining equipment at the plant.

•Performs troubleshooting and documentation and assists in the resolution of problems discovered on shift.

•Performs daily maintenance, overhauls, calibration, troubleshooting, repair/replacement and removal/installation of plant equipment and systems.

•Makes decisions and recommends appropriate repair techniques for plant equipment to peers, supervisors, plant management.

•Conducts excitation system inspections and preventive maintenance.

•Proficient in operating material handling equipment.

•Develops and implements plant operating procedures.

•Understands relationship of equipment to plant systems.

•May provide instruction and teaching to lower-level employees.

•Ensures strict adherence to safety, health and environmental procedures as they relate to plant operations and maintenance including but not limited to Lockout Tagout, Job Safety Analysis, Confined Space, Hot Work, Electrical Safety and PPE.

Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements:

•At least 4 years related experience.

•Satisfactory completion of Tier 2 within primary skill for position job performance measure.

•Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent.

•If applicable, candidate will hold the required level of state license as recognized by the governing body of that particular state (MA, OH).

•Demonstrate computer-based skills.

•Demonstrate effective oral & verbal communications skills.

•Independent knowledge of troubleshooting.

•Must pass POSS/MASS pre-employment test.

Field Superintendent

We have an immediate opportunity for an experienced Construction Field Superintendent with Underground Power experience in the Los Angeles area. Ability to complete construction projects by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors, field staff, and sub-contractors.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

• Directly oversees job site personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work schedules and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays
• Works with Project Manager and Scheduler in the development and refinement of the project schedule to keep the schedules properly updated and see that the job meets the completion date while meeting budget
• Responsible for approving all expenses for each assigned job; ensure they are applied to the proper job and phase code
• Studies specifications to plan procedures for construction on basis of starting and completion times
• Orders procurement of tools and materials to be delivered at specific times to conform to work schedules
• Inspects work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and the adherence to construction schedules
• Prepares or reviews reports on progress, materials used, costs and adjusts work schedules as indicated on reports
• Completes Daily Field Production Reports on a daily basis
• Monitors contract compliance for each job to ensure the company is protected regarding liabilities matters and liens
• Required to participate in resolving labor disputes and related negotiations are required
• Responsible for obtaining signed change orders when appropriate and submitting to their Managers and Accounting for processing
• Provide directions to the A/R department to ensure invoices are properly and timely created
• Ensures company employees and subcontractors are adhering to the company safety policy

Qualifications and Experience

• Four-year degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Business Administration preferred
• 10 plus years of Construction knowledge and experience working in the capacity of a General Foreman or Superintendent in Underground Utility Installation
• Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully; develops alternative solutions; works well in group problem solving situations; uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics
• Writes clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar; varies writing style to meet needs; presents numerical data effectively; able to read and interpret written information

SUMMARY OF THE POSITION

The Manager, Quality Assurance provides support for projects in development, construction, and operation by creating and managing a Quality Assurance program. This role ensures effective implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of the Quality Assurance program and procedures, partnering with multiple departments within the business including project and construction teams and plant personnel to foster a culture that focuses on high quality construction, maintenance practices, and testing/commissioning procedures.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Building a team to support both the QA and Commissioning processes.
• Serve as the primary resource for quality concerns for all ongoing construction projects.
• Through field inspections, ensure the installation of new project facilities are in alignment with engineered drawings, contract requirements, and operational preferences.
• Plan and conduct audits (internal and third-party) of contractor QA/QC programs and work activities.
• Lead, support, prepare and review the writing of project specific commissioning checklists, construction inspections and any related RFIs.
• Maintain and update commissioning documentation with project lessons learned, best practices, and any changes in company policies or expectations.
• Create QA inspection program providing Construction Managers the necessary tools to document and track work that is out of compliance with drawings, contract requirements, and operational preferences.
• Oversee and conduct kick-offs for construction milestones, ensuring all teams are aligned with quality expectations before major project phases
• Assist with the resolution of escalated QA and/or commissioning issues, questions and work stoppage situations.
• Collect and verify completeness of EPC turnover documents (per contract). Assure that the turnover documentation meets requirements for operations and regulatory reporting, organized and filed properly
• Monitor, coach and recommend additional training solutions for team members to develop the skills, knowledge and experience to be effective in their roles of supporting quality management and commissioning.
• Work closely with independent engineer reviews to address concerns.
• Assist and contribute to the identification of specific deliverables as required in the project documentation and as per Contract Requirements regarding Quality, Commissioning, and As-built documentation.
• Support development of contract exhibits that outline QA/QC expectations for our EPC partners.
• Reporting on & ensure administration of all QA & inspection activities.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THIS ROLE

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or other related disciplines.
• Minimum 10 years in engineering and/or construction.
• Minimum 3 years' experience with renewable energy project commissioning.

Essential Responsibilities

• Represent a small volume of non-US citizens in deportation defense, or affirmative applications for immigration relief (case selection driven by organizing and campaign priorities) 
• Provide remote and in-person immigration consultations and screenings to immigrant workers, tenants, and community members 
• Assist with the organization and coordination of both in-person and remote legal clinics, including family preparedness clinics 
• Develop and conduct know-your-rights trainings for immigrants, tenants, workers, and small business owners 
• Conduct legal and policy research to support strategic campaign development
• Serve as policy expert in support of organizing and advocacy to advance immigrant, worker, and tenant rights at the local, state, and federal level

• Provide technical assistance to community groups, organizers, and advocates
• Develop and grow a network of government, private and legal aid legal resources to support workers throughout the Sunbelt, including: a) private attorneys,; b) pro bono attorneys; c) legal aid attorneys; and d) law school clinics
• Maintain and strengthen collaborative working relationships with national, regional, and local advocacy organizations
• Assist with mentorship of staff (depending on experience level), general administrative tasks, and grant reporting as appropriate

• Part Stocking & Logistics Support
