Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal

Location: Boca Raton or Coral Gables, Florida

Firm: Werner, Hoffman, Greig & Garcia

Position Overview

Werner, Hoffman, Greig & Garcia is seeking a seasoned Florida Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal with a minimum of five (5) years of hands-on litigation experience in Florida state and/or federal court.

This is a true litigation role. We are not hiring for a pre-litigation or case manager position. The ideal candidate must be experienced in procedural litigation practice under the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure and comfortable managing active litigation files from filing through trial.

Experience handling nursing home/assisted living facility negligence cases is a strong plus.

Core Responsibilities

• Draft and file pleadings, motions, notices, and discovery in Florida state and federal courts
• Manage litigation calendars, procedural deadlines, and trial preparation timelines
• Coordinate depositions, mediations, hearings, and expert scheduling
• Prepare discovery responses, deposition summaries, and trial materials
• Organize and maintain electronic case files in a paperless environment
• Assist attorneys with motion practice sequencing and discovery enforcement strategy
• Prepare pretrial stipulations, exhibit lists, witness lists, and trial binders
• Track case costs, liens, and settlement disbursements
• Coordinate with experts, medical providers, opposing counsel, and court personnel

Required Qualifications (Florida Litigation Specific)

Candidates must have demonstrable experience with:

• Florida e-Portal filing (state and federal courts)
• Strong working knowledge of the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure
• Procedural litigation deadlines and rule-based compliance
• Discovery enforcement strategy and motion sequencing
• Coordinating depositions and mediations

Additional Requirements:

Deliver technical training to Honda and Acura automobiles dealership service personnel through assigned training center. Maintain equipment, vehicles, and facility to high standards.
