Position Summary
The Senior Estimator / Preconstruction Manager owns all pricing strategy and preconstruction cost development at Matukat Construction. This role leads estimating efforts from early conceptual budgeting through final GMP execution, manages subcontractor engagement during bidding, and ensures scope clarity and financial risk awareness prior to construction.
The Senior Estimator works closely with the Project Executive, operations team, and design partners to guide projects through preconstruction while ensuring pricing accuracy, market competitiveness, and alignment with project objectives.
This position reports to the Project Executive and supervises Estimator(s) within the preconstruction team.
Key Responsibilities Preconstruction Leadership & Strategy
Lead all estimating and bidding efforts from conceptual budgeting through final GMP development.
Establish estimating strategy based on delivery method including CMAR, Design-Build, Negotiated, and Hard Bid projects. Review owner program and design documents to identify scope gaps, cost drivers, and construction risks early. Provide strategic cost input during design phases to support constructability and budget alignment.
Partner with the Project Executive to determine go/no-go decisions and bid strategy.
Supervise and mentor Estimator(s) while supporting their technical and professional development.
Estimating & Cost Development
Prepare or oversee conceptual estimates, schematic budgets, design development estimates, and final GMP proposals.
Ensure quantity takeoffs, unit pricing, and scope coverage are complete and accurate.
Develop and maintain historical cost data and market benchmarks for Matukat Construction projects.
Establish contingency strategy and risk allowances in collaboration with the Project Executive.
Review and approve all pricing prior to submission to ownership.
Subcontractor & Vendor Management
Develop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers throughout the Colorado market.
Create and manage bidder lists appropriate for project size, complexity, and market conditions.
Lead bid package development and ensure scopes are clear, complete, and aligned with project documents.
Oversee bid solicitation, follow-up, and bid coverage to ensure competitive participation.
Lead bid leveling, scope analysis, and value comparisons prior to award recommendations.
Risk Identification & Scope Control
Identify scope gaps, ambiguities, and design inconsistencies during document review.
Communicate design risks, market volatility, and cost exposure to the Project Executive.

Ensure all pricing submissions are professional, complete, and aligned with Matukat Construction standards.
Transition to Operations
Conduct formal estimate handoff meetings with the Project Executive, Project Manager, and Superintendent.
Review scope assumptions, subcontractor inclusions, alternates, and risk items with the operations team.
Support buyout strategy and participate in subcontractor interviews when necessary.
Remain available to clarify estimate assumptions during early stages of project execution.
Team Leadership & Development
Manage and mentor Estimator(s) within the preconstruction team.
Establish internal estimating standards and documentation protocols.
Improve bid package templates, leveling sheets, and cost tracking tools.
Promote continuous improvement in pricing accuracy and market awareness.
What You’ll Bring

What You Will Do
- Performs the set up and prove-in of complex precision production hardware and potential pre-production engineering hardware with the UPMF (Ultra Precision Machine Fabrication).

You'll work directly with the CMO to set quarterly goals, manage key agency relationships, and use data to ruthlessly prioritize what scales and what gets cut. This is a high-impact, high-autonomy role for someone who's taken a DTC brand from $10M+ to $30M+ before and knows exactly which levers to pull to drive profitable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Own revenue growth strategy: Build and execute the roadmap of growth; set quarterly goals, track performance, and adjust strategy based on what's working.
- Build UGC/influencer content engine: Scale existing systems to source, manage, and optimize UGC content; manage creator relationships and performance to help grow Nominal’s social media and paid media presence.
- Drive email/SMS growth: Own strategy for email/SMS with our agency to grow revenue and subscriber list and diversify the marketing calendar for the brand.
- Optimize retention & lifecycle marketing: Increase repeat purchase rate by 10–15% through loyalty program optimization, post-purchase flows, mobile app adoption, and targeted retention campaigns.
- Improve conversion rate and AOV: Partner with CRO agency to run 2–3 tests/month; optimize upsells, cross-sells, bundling, and checkout flow to increase AOV by 10–15%
- Build unit economics & reporting infrastructure: Establish CAC by channel, LTV by cohort, payback period, and contribution margin; create dashboards for real-time performance visibility.
- Manage agency relationships: Oversee and strategize with ad buyer, email/SMS agency, ad creative agency, CRO agency, and other softwares.
- Create promotional calendar strategy: Partner with CMO to plan flash sales, exclusive offers, product launches, and cultural campaigns that drive urgency and revenue.
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Work with Creative Team on performance-driven creative, CFO on forecasting and profitability, and Marketing Ops Coordinator on execution
Key Qualifications
- 7+ years in DTC e-commerce growth marketing with at least 3–5 years in a senior performance marketing or growth leadership role
- Proven track record scaling a DTC brand from $10M+ to $30M+ and can clearly articulate the strategies and tactics you used to achieve that growth
- Deep email/sms expertise: strong email/SMS marketing background: Driven significant revenue from owned channels through segmentation, flow optimization, list growth, and campaign strategy
- Analytical and data-driven: Comfortable with unit economics (CAC, LTV, payback period, contribution margin); use data to prioritize and make ruthless decisions
- Experience managing agencies and freelancers: Know how to set expectations, evaluate performance, and get the best results from external partners
- Retention and lifecycle marketing expertise: Built and optimized loyalty programs, post-purchase journeys, win-back campaigns, and customer segmentation strategies
- Shopify and DTC tool fluency: Proficient with TripleWhale, Klaviyo, Meta Ads Manager, Google Analytics, Shopify Analytics, and standard DTC growth stack
- Bias toward action, speed, and experimentation: Test fast, learn fast, kill what doesn't work, and aggressively scale what does without waiting for perfect data
- Strong communication and strategic thinking: Translate complex data into clear insights; collaborate effectively with CMO, creative team, and finance; push back constructively when needed

Position Summary
The administrative assistant and board liaison (AABL) will provide necessary support to OBI’s president and CEO, board of directors and government affairs team to ensure OBI’s governance, programs and initiatives are executed effectively and efficiently. The AABL will report to the president and CEO and work collaboratively with all members of the OBI team.
Responsibilities and Duties
While other duties may be assigned, the list below is illustrative of the type of work the AABL will engage in:
- Provide executive support to the president and CEO, such as scheduling, meeting and event preparation, preparing minutes, conducting research and preparing materials, stakeholder outreach and project execution.
- Provide executive support to board committees, including the Executive Committee, Finance & Audit Committee and Nominating Committee.
- Serve as OBI’s board liaison, working with the president and other board officers on scheduling, logistics, meeting materials and arrangements for board and board committee meetings as well as supporting the board’s governance, nominations, minutes and compliance processes.
- Support the boards of both OBI HealthChoice and the OBI Research & Education Foundation, affiliated entities of OBI.
- Safeguard confidential and sensitive information with discretion and sound judgement.
- Manage OBI staff meetings and events.
- Support the OBI government affairs team with specific administrative functions as assigned by the president, such as scheduling policy committee and council meetings, preparing materials for testimony or meetings, and outreach support.
- Provide coverage during absences of the Operations and Member Relations Assistant.
- Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Skills, Qualifications & Experience
- A working knowledge of office practices and general office management procedures.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work assignments.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and communications skills with keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams, as well as other cross functional platforms, such as Zoom.
- 4+ years of related experience.
Location
This position is based in OBI’s Salem office. It is a public-facing role and will need to be in the office on a consistent basis, though there is opportunity for some remote work pursuant to OBI’s hybrid work schedule policies.
Salary Range
The salary range is $55,000-$65,000, commensurate with experience.
