Description:
The IR & Electric Motor Testing Consultant will work with the Snell Group to provide services for our clients. Work will be scheduled by our home office, travel and lodging will be scheduled by you. As this is a relatively new technology, extensive previous experience, while desired, is not necessary.
Responsibilities:
The IR & Electric Motor Testing Consultant will be responsible for delivering all facets of our motor testing and services to our clients. Some of the responsibilities are as follows:
Conduct Electric Motor and Power Quality Services.
  • Collect and analyze motor, motor circuit, and power quality data.
  • Conduct Infrared Thermography inspections.
  • Provide customers with detailed reports describing identified anomalies.
  • Be a \"self-starter and maintain awareness with existing and upcoming developments with motor tester and power quality technology, motor and motor circuit design, maintenance, and reliability.

Primary Purpose

Manufacturing New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineer II

LaunchPoint Electric Propulsion Solutions, Inc. is seeking an experienced Manufacturing NPI Engineer II to introduce and develop innovative products, highly efficient processes/procedures, and tooling to help streamline operations.


What You’ll Do

  • Introduce new products and manufacturing processes
  • Technical manufacturing development and integration for production
  • Quickly solve problems related to production optimization and/or quality
  • Break down technical problems, risks and opportunities in the right order to develop and optimize production processes
  • Production planning and process validation
  • Create the technical conditions for zero-defect production
  • Create positive team and mentoring relationships with internal and external stakeholders and employees
  • Continuously improve production processes by developing, qualifying and implementing lean initiatives
  • Identify risks and opportunities in the production process and take action for continuous improvement



What You Need

  • BS in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline
  • Proven expertise in production design and production support in a Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering capacity, preferably in aerospace or defense
  • Ability to both communicate and document technical information and processes internally and externally
  • 2+ years of professional experience in the field of manufacturing engineering, preferably in the aerospace or defense industry and experience with one or more of the following:
  • conformal coating and encapsulating electronics assemblies
  • molding processes including tooling design
  • composite part manufacture including tooling design
  • electrical wiring harnesses and cabling manufacture
  • Proficient with MS Office
  • Structured, analytical and independent way of working
  • In-depth understanding and working knowledge of AS9100D Quality Management System or similar tightly regulated industry



Bonus Qualifications

  • SOLIDWORKS Experience
  • Industry experience in Aerospace or Defense
  • Knowledge of 3D CAD, mechanical FEA simulation tools
  • Knowledge of electronics packaging best principles and practices

Salary and Pay Transparency

Salary range for this position is between $75,000 and $111,000. Base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, and all applicable company benefits.

(MEPPI) is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer II - Manufacturing to plan, direct and support activities to assess and provide for root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for Transportation Systems Division (TSD) quality problems. Implement and maintain quality assurance programs and lead efforts with internal audits.


This position will report to the TSD Quality Assurance Section Manager and is an onsite position in Freedom, PA.


What You’ll Do:

  • Participate in and/or lead supplier validation audits using product quality planning tools.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to investigate quality problems, identify root causes of problems, develop correction action plans and implement improvements. Verify corrective actions are implemented and maintained.
  • Serve as a quality assurance liaison to Japan. Learn and implement applicable Japanese techniques for quality assurance improvements.
  • Participate in the development of new products or modifications of existing products to meet customer requirements.
  • Participate in and/or lead internal audits. Work with all departments to help close audit findings in an effective and timely manner.
  • Coordinate continued evaluation of procedures and documentation throughout TSD. Verify for completeness, accuracy and lack of redundancy.
  • Facilitate in-house quality assurance and manufacturing improvement programs throughout TSD.
  • Assure quality records are generated, retained, stored, protected and disposed of according to TSD and Company policies.


What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical field with 3-5 years of experience in quality control and/or assurance function, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of QA and manufacturing improvement practices such as Lean Six Sigma and Black Belt and an understanding of the underlying philosophy.
  • Advanced knowledge of quality techniques such as Statistical Process Control, Deming Methods, 5-Why, 8DS, etc.
  • Advanced interpersonal communication and presentation skills required to communicate with customers, vendors and employees.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced computer skills with emphasis on MS Office products and MRP/ERP systems.
