Power the data centers, hospitals, and other mission-critical facilities of tomorrow-designing both rugged rental products and stationary generator-set packages that keep them online. As an Engineering Detailer/Drafter you'll work in a unique manufacturing and dealer environment, leveraging AutoCAD and Inventor skills to create and detail drawings for parts, weldments and assemblies.



Basic Duties

  • Create clear 2D/3D drawings for skids, bases, enclosures, fuel/cooling/exhaust, and wiring layouts using company CAD standards.
  • Turn engineer/customer inputs into buildready fabrication drawings and BOMs.
  • Work with Project Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, and the Fab Shop to resolve questions and keep drawings productionready.
  • Keep drawing sets current-apply redlines, revisions, and asbuilt updates; maintain files and version control.


Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience with Inventor and Autocad in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency with Caterpillar toolsets (CAT ET, CAT Monitoring Software, SIS Web, TMI, EDDC) is highly desirable.
  • Working knowledge of diesel- and natural-gas generator sets is preferred, not required.
  • Expert-level 2D drafting in AutoCAD; 3D modeling experience required in the last year (Inventor preferred, or comparable platforms accepted)
  • Microsoft Office.
  • Highly organized, flexible and have the ability to work necessary hours in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Key Role Description



The Metals Supervisor leads the mechanics and support crafts responsible for maintaining fixed equipment in the refinery. This includes, but is not limited to heaters, boilers, ducting, vessels, piping, valves, and structural steel. This role oversees union metals mechanics, contractors (union and non-union), and outside shops to successfully complete their tasks in a safe and cost-effective manner. The Metals Supervisor assures all maintenance work complies with applicable safety, engineering, safe work practice standards, laws, and regulations.



Role Specific Competencies

Accountability:



Develop, implement, and troubleshoot CNC program designs. Provide technical expertise in collaboration with functions across the organization to achieve project goals. Work closely with production to solve problems. Use strong analytical design and project management skills along with product expertise to meet customer requirements.



Essential Functions and Duties:




  • Prepare computer programs to control CNC machine operations using CAD/CAM terminal (Siemens NX and MasterCam).
  • Prepare flow charts, documents and sequence logic and write complete sequence of machine operations necessary to complete cycle.
  • Analyze engineering drawings for materials, process fabrication and design elements.
  • Specify patterns on programming sheet for way part is to be machined.
  • Assure program meets target cycle time and program generates geometry to customer requirements.
  • Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds and feeds, tool path application necessary to perform the operation.
  • Assist in the concept design of required tools and gages, support changes to existing tools and fixture as improvements are identified.
  • Support lean activities both within the Engineering group and across the organization.

Qualifications:




  • Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline preferred and/or equivalent experience.
  • Ten or more years direct experience in multi-axis programming of Aerospace machining operations and materials.
  • Ability to program in appropriate programming language using either a CAD/CAM terminal and/or manually generated.
  • 3D modeling sketcher, assemblies, lathe, and drafting capability in Siemens PLM (NX 8.5) or later version
  • CAD/CAM software: Siemens NX and MasterCam required
