Responsibilities — Anesthesia and Perioperative Care

  • Perform pre-anesthesia assessments and evaluate patient readiness for anesthesia in the perioperative setting
  • Obtain and verify patient consent and required documentation
  • Discuss anesthetic options, risks, and perioperative plans with patients and the care team
  • Provide induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia for scheduled procedures
  • Continuously monitor physiologic status and respond to changes in patient condition
  • Perform clinical interventions as needed to ensure patient safety and stability
  • Document anesthesia care accurately and promptly in the iPro electronic charting system
