Ride Control Hardware Engineers work within Walt Disney Imagineering's Ride Studio in a highly collaborative environment on diverse teams. Engineering activities cover all aspects of control system design and implementation, from concept to commissioning, for a wide variety of innovative ride platforms.
The Ride Control Hardware Engineer will report to the Ride Control Systems Engineering Executive.
This is a full time role.
What You Will Do:
* Support programmable, electrical, and electronic hardware scope to design and deliver control systems for complex, innovative ride systems
* Perform engineering design and analysis for ride systems, focusing on electrical control systems
* Develop control system and network architectures
* Design, model, and analyze electrical supply systems
* Research new products, technologies, and methodologies
* Lead a team of ride control engineers and collaborate with other professionals to develop ride control systems

Required Qualifications & Skills

* Highly proficient in industrial control system installation, integration, and commissioning
* Solid understanding of communication protocols: TCP/IP, CAN, serial, ProfiNET, Ethernet/IP, EtherCAT
* Extensive knowledge of electrical design standards and codes, including UL508a and NEC
* Familiarity with amusement and automation industry standards, including ASTM F2291
* Expertise in motor and motion control methods and components

SCOPE OF WORK
Responds to complaint calls in order of priority to, set traps, capture loose, stray, sick, injured, or abandoned animals; investigate animal abuse, neglect, and/or nuisance.
Conducts general investigations of animal related problems including, but not limited to animal cruelty and neglect, aggressive and dangerous dogs, animals running at-large, barking, permitting, licensing and impounding of animals all which may involve hostile, irate or distressed members of the public, in a tactful, professional and effective manner.
Patrols an assigned zone in order to identify/capture stray animals, responds to calls/complaints, and enforces animal care ordinances; captures a variety of animals in order to protect the community and to protect animals from injury/death.
Apprehends and confines stray, injured, aggressive/dangerous and nuisance animals in the most safe, humane and approved manner possible. Transports animals to sheltering facility and/or veterinary clinic.
Performs routine medical procedures/evaluation upon animals while in the field including but not limited to, conducts basic medical triage as needed; euthanize animals if necessary and permitted; and administers first-aid when necessary.
Performs routine medical procedures/evaluation upon incoming animals including but not limited to, administers oral and injectable medications; conducts basic medical triage as needed; euthanize animals if necessary and permitted; and administers first-aid when necessary.

- Lead the development and production of regular reporting.
- Prepares documentation for project gateway and approval processes.
- Develop overall guidelines for project level chartering and partnering.
- Review the Project Master Schedule for sequencing, interface milestones, and critical path elements (developed by others).
- Develop and recommend the project budget, cash flow and financial plan.
- Oversee and lead the risk management process for the project.
- Develop the work plan that forms the Project Execution Plan (PEP) for the project.
- Review, critique and submit for approval the Project implementation plans as developed by the project supporting PMCM teams.
- Manage Project Estimating and life cycle (total cost of ownership) asset costing, including contingency methodology and estimate evolution through the project lifecycle.
- Develop and submit for approval change management and impact mitigation strategies throughout the life of the project. This includes, but is not limited to scope, cost, schedule control, and cost reduction initiatives.
- Develop the set of controls to assure team performance against the Project baseline metrics.
- Develop protocols and guidelines for Diversity Compliance, Monitoring, and Reporting.
- Establish the metrics and basis for progress reporting against the Project, Projects, and Contracts. Reporting shall include Performance Measurement, Forecasting, Trending, Issues, Actions, Progress, and Overall Status.
- Develop project guidelines and protocols for cost reduction initiatives. Review project level cost reduction recommendations.
- Review project level diversity recommendations.
- Review construction progress and approve recovery plans.
- Review the claims resolutions recommendations.
- Collaborate with appropriate internal and external stakeholders to achieve consent.
- Establishes ongoing risk process and coordinates regular Monte Carlo analyses.
- Project intake: Consider expansion of deliverables to ensure more robust business cases/estimates/schedules are developed.
- Consider the development of an end-to-end process that captures the project controls information from intake through to closeout. Including incorporating a feedback loop for intake/cost/scheduling closeout information.
- Consider the integration of intake/cost/scheduling reporting to provide a holistic approach to project controls.
- Leads the Project Controls Team and ensures deliverables with quality control and assurance.
- SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or field related to construction.

We are seeking a Central Utility Controls Engineer to join the engineering team of a leading industrial automation and manufacturing organization. In this role, you will support the design, development, testing, and implementation of control systems for large-scale utility and plant support applications using modern automation platforms.
The position involves working closely with engineering and project teams to deliver reliable automation solutions supporting facility infrastructure and industrial utility systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop functional specifications and control documentation, including sequence of operations and system documentation.
