The Boeing Company is seeking a Systems Engineers to join one of ourSt. Louis, MO(Berkeley, Hazelwood, Saint Charles) based teams. Our St. Louis based teams are responsible for development, production, trainers, and sustainment for some of the most advanced defense and weapon systems in the world – including, but not limited to: Fighters/Tactical (F-47, F-15, F/A-18, F-22, & T-7A), Autonomous Systems (MQ-25), Precision Engagement Systems (JDAM, SDB, etc), and other advanced proprietary systems (Phantom Works) and platforms (AH-64, P-8, C-17, etc.).

Position Responsibilities:

• Lead the systems engineering effortson new development, production, and/or sustainment programs, ensuring alignment with program goals and objectives.

• Translate customer and operational needs into system performance requirements.

• Guide cross-functional teams to define and maintain system requirements, interfaces, behaviors, and verification criteria for complex systems

• Perform analyses in affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human factors, survivability, vulnerability, security, certification, and product assurance to achieve mission success.

• Run design reviews and technical assessments, giving recommendations to improve system performance and reliability.

• Maintain and improve requirements management, risk/issues/opportunity tracking, tools, and technology readiness assessment processes.

• Lead the program in implementing and/or adopting the latest SE methodologies (e.g. Model Based Systems Engineering) to meet customer expectations

• Mentor, coach and advise engineers across the program in SE tools, techniques, planning and strategy.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite (no hybrid or remote options). The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Travel may be required; Domestically and/or Internationally depending on business needs.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
• 4 or more years' related engineering experience
• Prior Systems Engineering experience (i.e. system design, functional decomposition, requirements development, analysis, verification, and validation)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Level 4: 7 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Active U.S. Security Clearance

Expected to perform all the activities on the Factory Service Center Shipping & Receiving Team. Receives and ships all customer tools into and out of the Factory Service Center. Receives all customer returns and accurately enters customer and product information into various business platforms including JDEdwards, 360 Insight, or any other required business platform. Moves material to different locations in the building(s), utilizing various forms of material handling equipment including forklifts, hand trucks, two-wheel dollies or transfer truck. Evaluates customer returns for warranty, credit or repair as determined by company and department policies. Receives and ships all customer tools into and out of the Factory Service Center.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

* Receive tools sent to the factory service center from customers requesting a tool repair evaluation.

* Receive tools sent to the stock returns area from distributors requesting a credit.

* Receive parts shipments from DCs and suppliers, and all misc. packages that are sent to the factory service center. Put away parts into correct inventory locations.

* Package/box, label, and ship tools to customers and distributors accurately.

* Process/record all transactions in JDE, 360 Insight.

* Help walk-in customers with tool receipts and basic questions about the repair process.

* Identify the specific tool model on incoming receipts using variety of factors like serial number, product catalog, and general knowledge of product line.

* Evaluate condition of packaging and tool returned for stock credit. Make determination on whether the distributor should be given credit using a variety of factors such as condition of tool, serial number, sales order number, purchase order number. Determine whether the tool can be salvaged through repair or if the tool should be scrapped.

* Must have a good working or developing understanding of the entire product line.

* Good understanding of the various packaging sizes and understand limits of when the standard package can be substituted for another size.

* Supports receiving team at service desk counter, and interacts with customers in taking orders and providing feedback on the lead time in person.

* Receives tools for repair and customer returns at the standard daily and weekly pace set by the service center supervisor and management, without needing significant help from others.

* Information about tool received for repair that is entered into 360 with errors is relatively low and occurs within an acceptable amount of tolerance for the amount of training and experience with the product line.

* Parts and tools are put away into the correct inventory locations and errors are relatively low..

SUMMARY:

The Tooling Supervisor – Engineer is responsible for all aspects of in-house and external tool tracking, tool and fixture repairs and tool maintenance to ensure that the company objectives are met. The Tooling Supervisor- Engineer will interface between Spectrum Plastics Minneapolis location and external tooling suppliers. This position will be accountable for tracking and meeting all agreed upon tool delivery dates, costs and maintaining spare components.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Actively promote and drive a culture of safety within Spectrum Plastics Group.
2. Responsible for tooling P&L, adhere to tool delivery dates and quality of work for all Spectrum MN tooling transactions.
3. Participate in support of the quoting sales process. Acquire tooling quotes

5. Manage and track all tool cleanings, repairs, PM’s, refurbishments, and spare parts.

2. Manage tooling database (IQMS) for tracking tools, implementing planned scheduled maintenance or scheduled repairs.
3. Develop customer tooling recommendations as needed for new tools or refurbishments.
4. Set-up, track and maintain all tooling spare components.

5 years of tool building experience. Excellent organizational, communication and computer skills. Demonstrates a sense of urgency. Knowledge of blueprint reading, Solidworks and Pro –e. Proficient at Geometric Tolerance interpretation.

Tool & Die Technician

Location: Franklin Park, Illinois

Overview

A manufacturing company in the Franklin Park area is seeking a Tool & Die Technician to support tooling and die maintenance within a production environment. This role is responsible for building, repairing, and maintaining tooling used in metal forming and fabrication processes.

The ideal candidate has experience working with stamping dies, tooling components, and precision machining equipment, and is comfortable troubleshooting tooling issues that impact production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, repair, and maintain tooling, dies, and fixtures used in metal fabrication or stamping operations.

• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical instructions to support toolroom activities.

• Diagnose tooling issues and perform repairs to maintain proper die function and reduce production downtime.

• Set up and operate toolroom equipment such as mills, lathes, grinders, drills, and related machining equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all tooling, tooling components, machining supplies, and ensure the safe, effective operation of the tool room.
• Maintain an adequate inventory of components required for tooling maintenance, repair, and replacement.
• Repair, replace, modify, or improve tooling based on instructions provided.
• Keep the tool room, equipment, and work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety and housekeeping standards.
• Maintain accurate tooling history records, including maintenance, repairs, and modifications.

Qualifications:

• Experience in a tool room, die maintenance, machining, or related manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, maintenance checklists, and technical documentation.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in tooling repair, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
• Familiarity with die casting, stamping, or machining operations is preferred.
• Ability to use measurement tools, hand tools, and shop equipment safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation accuracy.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
