Position Summary
As a CATV Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of the network infrastructure by performing routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs of broadband systems and equipment. This includes maintaining fiber optic and coaxial cables, signal amplifiers, distribution systems, and customer premises equipment (CPE). They respond to service outages, perform preventative maintenance, and support network upgrades or expansions. Technicians often work in both indoor and outdoor environments, including utility poles, underground vaults, and service areas, using specialized tools and diagnostic equipment to keep services running smoothly and meet quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify faults within the subscriber drop, feeder/distribution and trunk systems to ensure proper signal level
- Correct these faults by adjusting, repairing or replacing passive or active components, including power supplies and power inserters
- Perform signal egress/ingress detection; sweep alignment; installations; troubleshooting; test point measurements; system balance and preliminary proofs
- Perform emergency restoration of signal outages in the feeder/distribution and trunk systems • Complete work assignments generated through technician follow-up requests, including unresolved technician work orders

Experience and qualifications
- 3 years experience or related work history in the CATV/Broadband industry
- Understanding of and ability to use: signal level meter, volt-ohm meter, cable locator egress monitoring devices, AC clamp meter television test set, spectrum analyzer basic time domain reflectometer, system maps sweep gear
- Ability to demonstrate technical expertise in a variety of situations, evaluate problems and implement the best solution
- Ability to work under minimal supervision, within broad guidelines of procedures and goals
- Ability to always maintain a professional attitude and appearance
- Demonstrable understanding of technology trends in the digital infrastructure sector and applying such technology to address customer needs and pain points.
- A scrappy, nimble, innovative, and hands-on contributor who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves to accomplish goals and has passion for competing and winning against larger players in the market.

Compensation
- The pay range for this Full Time position is $32.40 - $40.98 per hour.

Job Overview
The Compliance Counsel will play a critical role in supporting the legal and regulatory integrity of the company’s U.S. operations. The role will focus on monitoring and analyzing legislative and regulatory developments, supporting trade compliance and tariff management, and advising internal stakeholders on compliance risks and best practices. This attorney will serve as a resource to the legal and business teams and will be expected to collaborate cross-functionally with operations, logistics, supply chain, government affairs, and global compliance teams.
This is not a lobbying role; however, the successful candidate must be highly attuned to evolving legal landscapes, especially in the areas of import/export controls, trade regulations, industrial policy, environmental law, and energy regulation.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory and Legislative Monitoring
- Track, analyze, and summarize relevant federal and state legislative and regulatory developments affecting the battery manufacturing, EV, and energy storage sectors.
- Prepare regular updates and risk assessments for internal stakeholders, including the Head of Legal, U.S., and business unit leaders.
- Collaborate with government affairs and external advisors to ensure accurate monitoring and understanding of evolving U.S. regulatory priorities (e.g., DOE, EPA, DOT, FERC, CFIUS, USITC, CBP, USTR).
Trade Compliance and Tariff Management
- Advise on U.S. import/export laws and regulations, including compliance with:
- Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
- International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
- Customs regulations administered by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP)
- Tariff classification and country-of-origin rules
- Monitor and interpret trade remedies and actions such as Section 301 tariffs, AD/CVD duties, and Section 232 measures.
- Provide legal support for the preparation and maintenance of product classifications, license applications, voluntary disclosures, and corrective actions as needed.
- Support the company’s participation in the U.S. regulatory processes related to tariffs, including exclusion requests and enforcement proceedings.
Compliance Program Development
- Assist in developing, implementing, and refining the company’s U.S. compliance policies and procedures in alignment with global compliance standards and U.S. legal requirements.
- Conduct internal training and awareness programs on relevant compliance topics, such as anti-corruption, sanctions, supply chain transparency, and trade compliance.
- Partner with internal audit and other functions to conduct periodic compliance reviews and investigations.
- Monitor and advise on antitrust and competition law issues, including pricing practices, distribution arrangements, joint ventures, and interactions with competitors, to ensure compliance with U.S. federal and state antitrust laws (e.g., Sherman Act, Clayton Act, FTC Act). Provide training and guidance to business units to mitigate antitrust risks.
Cross-Functional Legal Support
- Serve as a legal advisor to cross-functional teams on compliance-related issues that intersect with commercial agreements, procurement, operations, logistics, and regulatory filings.
- Collaborate with external legal counsel and advisors on complex trade or regulatory matters.
- Work with global colleagues to harmonize compliance practices and ensure consistent interpretation of global regulatory obligations.
Minimum Qualifications
Education and Licensure
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar (with ability to qualify under Michigan in-house counsel rules).
Professional Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience practicing law, including at least 3 years of in-house or law firm experience with a focus on compliance, trade law, or regulatory law.
- Prior experience advising manufacturing clients or clients in the energy or automotive sectors is strongly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. trade laws, customs procedures, and industrial policy instruments (e.g., Inflation Reduction Act, CHIPS Act, Buy American Act).
- Experience advising clients on compliance with export control regulations and sanctions laws.
Skills and Attributes

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex legal requirements into clear guidance.

Job Overview:
The Real-Time Scheduler / Curtailment Specialist plays a critical operational role in Applied Digital’s energy optimization strategy across its North Dakota data center footprint. This role focuses on executing real-time and intraday curtailment actions, monitoring price signals, and ensuring operational compliance during high-volatility windows.
This position requires strong situational awareness, rapid decision-making skills, and a technical understanding of grid behavior, LMP price dynamics, and operational constraints. Candidates from power plant operations, utility dispatching, ISO operations, or generation control rooms are highly preferred due to their experience in fast-paced, time-sensitive environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Real-Time Operational Execution
- Execute curtailment actions based on live market prices, operational limitations, and approved strategy.
- Continuously monitor LMP price curves, real-time SCADA data, load forecasts, outage impacts, and congestion trends.
- Adjust site operating levels when intraday price deviations or grid advisories occur.
- Coordinate tightly with Operators to ensure precise and timely execution of curtailment instructions.
Utility / Market Coordination & Compliance
- Submit curtailment notifications, operating adjustments, and required communications to utilities or market operators.
- Interpret and act on system advisories, transmission congestion notices, outage reports, and tariff requirements.
- Monitor for imbalance risk, schedule deviations, or non-compliance conditions and escalate as needed.
- Ensure all actions align with utility tariffs, operational limits, and internal compliance standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Analysts to refine optimization models, deliver real-time data feedback, and strengthen short-term forecasting.
- Provide operational insights to Engineering and Operations Leadership based on real-time system behavior.
- Support training of Operators on foundational optimization principles and response pathways.
Continuous Improvement & SOP Development
- Participate in daily review of prior-day events to evaluate execution quality and identify optimization improvements.

Peak Volatility Coverage
This role is part of a rotating coverage schedule for the hours most critical to optimization:
- 6 AM – 10 AM (morning volatility)
- 5 PM – 9 PM (evening volatility)
Additional availability may be required during extreme weather, unplanned grid events, or market anomalies.
Required Qualifications:
- 2–5+ years of experience in any of the following:
- Utility real-time operations or load dispatch
- Power plant control room operations
- Generation dispatching or merchant power scheduling
- Transmission or balancing authority operations
- Strong understanding of:
- LMP pricing behavior and congestion impacts
- Transmission constraints, reliability events, and operational limits
- Ramp rates, load flexibility, and industrial operating profiles
- Proficiency with SCADA systems, dispatch consoles, or utility/ISO operational portals.
- Ability to interpret operational and pricing data quickly and accurately.
- Strong verbal communication skills and calm decision-making under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience operating within MISO, SPP, ERCOT, or similar markets.
