The Instructional Designer will be responsible for developing both e-learning and in-person learning modules for internal and external customers. The Quality Assurance (QA)Learning Experience Designer actively engages in the review, design, development, and implementation of learning products (e.g., academic programs and courses, short courses, micro-credentials), working closely with strategic partners and vendors; this includes the quality review of new learning content, as well as the search for suitable existing learning content within Covista's owned content repositories and learning content management systems.

Duties/ Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and modification of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, low voltage systems, fire alarm, and control systems.
  • Create and review detailed electrical schematics, layouts, one-line diagrams, and wiring diagrams, using advanced CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
  • Perform in-depth electrical calculations and analysis to ensure proper sizing of electrical systems, including load calculations, voltage drops, and short circuit studies.
  • Ensure all designs meet relevant building codes, national and international electrical standards (NEC, IEC, etc.), and safety regulations.
  • Lead project coordination and collaborate with electrical engineers, architects, contractors, and clients to align designs with project specifications and timelines.
  • Review and approve electrical design documents and drawings for accuracy and completeness.
  • Mentor and guide junior designers and electrical design teams, providing technical expertise, feedback, and training.
  • Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions, monitor project progress, and assist with commissioning and troubleshooting during installation and construction phases.
  • Oversee the preparation of project documentation, technical reports, and submittals for clients and regulatory bodies.
  • Provide leadership in project meetings, presenting technical information to clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 4-6 years of experience in electrical design, with a strong background in both technical design and project management.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is required.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is in the process of being obtained.
  • Proficiency in advanced CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.), as well as electrical design tools such as SKM Power Tools, ETAP, or similar.
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical codes (NEC, IEC, etc.), industry standards, and building codes.
  • Strong technical understanding of power systems, lighting design, electrical control systems, and fire alarm systems.
  • Extensive experience in performing electrical load calculations, fault current analysis, voltage drop calculations, and other system analysis tasks.
  • Proven ability to lead projects, manage multiple deadlines, and mentor junior team members.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact with clients, vendors, and internal teams.

Serena & Lily is searching for an Assistant Textiles Designer to join our tight knit Design Team at our Sausalito Headquarters. Our ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, is eager to learn and brings to the table a technical skill set that will allow them to hit the ground running. This role is responsible for assisting in all textile developments ensuring that quality, accuracy and on time execution are paramount from concept to production. This role reports into the Senior Designer. Product development is collaborative and tactile so ability to work in person is imperative.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the development of all textile categories.
  • Create design specifications for seasonal collections across products including bedding, bath, beach, and other soft goods.
  • Produce scaled renderings in Photoshop for visual presentations.
  • Translate creative concepts into precise, technically accurate specifications.
  • Develop layouts and adapt original artwork to suit textile product requirements.
  • Build and maintain BOMs and technical specifications in Backbone PLM.
  • Partner with factories and agents to ensure product quality and consistency throughout the development cycle.
  • Review lab dips, strike-offs, and development samples with a sharp eye for detail, ensuring accuracy against specs and cohesion with existing product lines.
  • Manage product development submissions and maintain fabric libraries.
  • Assist with seasonal assortment reviews and presentation setups.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation in production techniques, materials, and design processes.
  • Research new ideas, materials, and trims to inspire and support seasonal concepts.
  • Monitor market trends and competitive activity to inform product direction.
  • Stay organized and up to date with calendar deadlines and milestone changes.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BFA in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or related field.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in textile design, fashion design or product development.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Detail Oriented – from producing technically accurate specs to evaluating color, you have an eye for detail and commitment to quality
  • Quick Learner and a self-starter – seeking assistance when faced with challenges and finding the right resources to finish tasks.

COMPENSATION:

  • $75-85k per year is the anticipated starting base pay for this role. This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this role. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: experience, education, and skills.
