Superintendent – DSA Projects

Position Overview
A leading California general contractor is seeking an experienced Superintendent with DSA project experience to lead field operations on public school and higher education construction projects across the Bay Area. This role is ideal for a Superintendent who thrives in a highly regulated environment and has a track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to stringent quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Field Leadership & Execution
- Oversee all onsite construction activities on DSA-regulated projects.
- Manage subcontractors, crews, and daily field operations.
- Maintain jobsite organization, logistics, and sequencing.
- Develop and manage short-interval and look-ahead schedules.
DSA Compliance & Regulatory Oversight
- Ensure compliance with California Division of the State Architect (DSA) regulations.
- Coordinate inspections, approvals, and maintain thorough documentation.
- Ensure adherence to public works and school construction standards.
Safety & Quality
- Promote a strong safety culture and enforce company and regulatory safety standards.
- Oversee quality control processes and inspections in coordination with QA/QC staff.
- Identify and resolve field issues proactively.
Team Coordination & Communication
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers, engineers, and design teams.
- Serve as the main onsite point of contact for owners, inspectors, and consultants.
- Mentor assistant superintendents, field engineers, and trade foremen.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of superintendent experience on DSA-regulated school or higher education projects.
- Strong knowledge of DSA construction standards, inspections, and documentation.
- Proven ability to manage multiple trades in complex projects.
- Experience with fast-track scheduling and active school environments preferred.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Project Manager – Healthcare (OSHPD)

Position Overview
A leading California general contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager with OSHPD healthcare construction experience to lead complex hospital and medical facility projects in the Sacramento region. This role will manage projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring financial success, schedule performance, and full regulatory compliance.
This is a key opportunity to join a builder with a strong backlog of healthcare work and long-term growth across Northern California.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Execution
- Manage all phases of OSHPD healthcare projects, including planning, procurement, construction, and turnover.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasting.
- Lead internal teams and collaborate closely with Superintendents and field staff.
- Oversee subcontractor buyout, scopes, and contract administration.
Financial & Contract Management
- Monitor project cost, productivity, and financial performance.
- Lead change order development, pricing, and negotiations.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and projections.
- Manage risk, claims, and compliance with contract requirements.
Healthcare & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with healthcare regulations and inspection processes governed by California Department of Health Care Access and Information.
- Coordinate with inspectors, consultants, and facility stakeholders.
- Support ICRA planning and work in active healthcare environments.
Client & Stakeholder Relationships
- Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, and consultants.
- Lead OAC meetings and project communication.
- Build and maintain strong relationships to support repeat business.
Preconstruction & Strategy
- Participate in estimating, value engineering, and constructability reviews.
- Support pursuit strategies and business development initiatives.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience managing healthcare or hospital construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of OSHPD processes, documentation, and inspections.
- Proven success managing complex, regulated projects.
- Experience in both ground-up and renovation healthcare work preferred.
- Excellent leadership, financial management, and communication skills.
