 What You Will Do

• Design, analyze (including thermal considerations), simulate, and test power conversion circuitry potentially utilizing any standard non-isolated power conversion topologies (buck, boost, buck-boost) including modules and discrete designs.  

• Guide Electronic Computer-Aided Design (ECAD) personnel through PWB layout of power circuitry and technical drawing creation. 

• Perform design work within the bounds of a given schedule. 

• Present reviews of technical data to program leadership and technical staff. 

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior 
  relevant experience

• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in design, analysis, simulation, and/or test experience with linear converters. 

• Experience with any of the following non-isolated converter topologies:  buck, boost, buck-boost.    

• Experience with design, analysis, and test with analog electronic design and analysis, including FET, BJT, and/or Op-amp circuits. 

Qualifications We Prefer

• Lab experience specific to power electronics and/or controls electronics

• Familiarity with circuit simulator SIMPLIS, Saber and/or analysis tool Mathcad. 

• Experience with Mentor Graphics DxDesigner, and/or Hyperlynx. 

• Experience with acting as a liaison between program and functional management. 

• Experience with digital power control. 

• Experience with military specifications. 

• Experience with transformer and inductor design considerations. 

• Design experience with Electro-Magnetic Interference (EMI) concerns.

Job Summary:

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Principal MMIC and Module Design Engineer to join Raytheon’s RF Microelectronics/Module Design & Foundry Services department in Andover, MA. The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining Building Management Systems, Life Safety and Lighting Controls, HVAC equipment (including air handlers, fan coils, compressors, motors, and pumps), as well as commercial low-voltage AC circuits and electronic components.

Responsibilities

In your role as a Radar Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing digital and analog circuits for our next-generation Radar system. Help with mid-level testing and troubleshooting of circuits and systems

Job Duty 3 -
Provide intermediate levels of maintenance and repair of printed circuit boards and printed circuit board assemblies

Job Duty 4 -
Assist with kitting parts using a Bill of Materials or other online inventory tools; help provide data entry for online inventory tools

Job Duty 5 -
Support other work teams, as needed, with skills such as mechanical assembly, welding, metal work, drafting, parts inventory, and technical documentation

Job Duty 6 -
Provide guidance to more junior-level technicians

Job Duty 7 -
Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Educational Requirements
Technical Diploma, Associate's Degree, or two years college course work, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Two to five years of job-related experience

ABILITIES
Experience using crimping tools preferred

KNOWLEDGE
Familiarity with hand tools and a basic understanding of AC/DC circuits; a basic understanding of RF cables and build processes preferred

Basic skills in PCB assembly, electrical assembly wiring, and soldering preferred
