Four (4) day work week (10 hour days) or Five (5) day work week (8 hour days)
Office hours Monday V Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Average volume is 20-25 patients per day
Very few telephone calls at night - Critical labs- The switchboard will contact the ordering provider- lab policy is that the provider is to respond back within 30 minutes
Hospitalist team will cover your patient admission. / ED will admit to Hospitalist team if inpatient care is needed
Lab and X-ray services on site.
Full EMR- Meditech and LSS, Meditech will be transitioning to Epic in the future

Description

Details
- Work in a combined ICU/CCU unit within a hospital setting
- Assigned to care for intensive and critical care patients with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Utilizes the Meditech EMR system
- Night shift position from 19:00 to 07:30
- Schedules alternate between 36 and 48 hour workweeks
- Orientation provided bi-weekly
Requirements
- Active KY or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years current ICU experience
- Certifications required: BLS (AHA only), ACLS (AHA only), and NIH Stroke Scale certification
- Must reside at least 100 miles from facility to be eligible
- Meditech EMR experience preferred
Additional Information
- Travel pairs are not permitted
- Responsibilities include caring for critically ill patients in an ICU setting
- Unit staffing ratios may fluctuate based on census or staffing needs
- Internal orientation occurs bi-weekly
