Lactalis American Group, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a 3rd shift Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician based in Belmont, Wisconsin. This position will require the ability to work in a team atmosphere as well as individually to repair, install, adjust, or maintain production and packaging equipment. This will also include equipment that is servo-mechanical as well as electro-mechanically operated. All work needs to be done in a clean sanitary manor as required in a food manufacturing plant. Candidates must be available to work weekends.

Key responsibilities for this position include:

* Repair or maintain the operating condition of the equipment used in production and packaging of a dairy product

* Align, fit, or assemble component parts and hardware, using hand or power tools

* Observe and test the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters or other testing devices

* Preform preventive maintenance functions such as cleaning, lubricating, adjusting, or replacing parts as needed per scheduled maintenance

* Operate newly repaired equipment to verify adequacy or repairs

* Ability to read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, or technical orders to determine methods and sequence of assembly

* Test performance of electro-mechanical assemblies, using test instruments such as electronic voltmeters

* Operate, test, or maintain robotic equipment used in various areas of operation

* Ability to effectively communicate with operators, fellow maintenance staff, and supervision to perform required tasks

* Record parts or materials used and ordered or requisition new parts or materials as necessary using Inventory management software

Candidate must have the following attributes/skills; strong attention to detail and accuracy, personal qualities of tact and dependability, possess good manual dexterity, vision abilities (close, distance color and ability to focus ), able to push/pull/lift and carry at least 50 pounds occasionally and 100 pounds with assistance, be able to stand for entire shift, be able to perform repetitive movements (e.g. twisting, gripping, lifting, bending, reaching, climbing) and must be able to work over 40 hours per week (weekends are required).

Sign On Bonus & Pay: We are offering a $2,000* Hiring Bonus to new hires for hourly positions. *Bonus amount is a gross amount. $1,000 will be paid out in the paycheck following 90 days of active employment; an additional $1,000 will be paid out in the paycheck following 180 days of active employment. *Temporary, part-time and certain rehired employees are not eligible. *Attendance and performance rules apply.

Pay: $35.75 to $39.40/hr + $2.00/hr 2nd shift premium, dependent upon skills and experience. Weekend premium: 20% more ($7.15/hour to $7.88/hour).

As an Avionics Mechanical Engineer at Reliable Robotics, you will be a part of the Vehicle Design and Integration team and will report to the Vehicle Design and Integration Manager. This team is a small group of highly motivated people designing, testing, and flying advanced mechanical systems. The harness engineer is a very cross-functional role at the convergence of the avionics, mechanical, integration, and production teams, with significant hands-on work designing, building, integrating, and testing our harnesses, enclosures, and mounting hardware; expect to broaden your design and application experience. This position will be located at our facility in Mountain View, California.

Responsibilities

In your role as Avionics Mechanical Engineer you will work with the avionics, mechanical, and integration teams to define the hardware interfaces, design the detailed harnesses including definition of the harness routing, design and test enclosures for environmental protection, and design the structural mounts for securing the hardware in the airplane. You'll have the opportunity to design, install, and test your hardware on a remotely operated aircraft, and you'll be an instrumental part of how our hardware teams come together on the airplane.

Basic Success Criteria

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent industry experience

  • 2+ years experience in mechanical or avionics hardware design

THE OPPORTUNITY

This engineer will be responsible for completing the Mechanical Engineering portion of projects in support of the Plant Capital execution, as well as Plant Technical support, enabling the plant to meet its Safey, Market, Productivity, and Quality goals. They will assist project teams with pre-studies of deployment and development projects in the M.E. field. They will also complete design studies, follow procurement and fabrication of equipment and lead the installation, commissioning and startup of the equipment in an industrial plant environment. For customer projects, manages the design studies for industrial equipment installations that are necessary for the success of the Plant's capital projects. She / he will ensure adherence to the customer's specifications, local regulations, compliance of performance, and costs.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Conduct feasibility studies of functional specifications; evaluate solutions against the criteria of cost, landmarks, risks, and functionality.
  • Adhere to the quality system and established methods (risk analyses, FMEA, design reviews, quality planning, treatment of non-Conformities, etc.).
  • Acquire validation of key project milestones during the installation, start-up and ramp-up of the equipment in collaboration with team members.
  • Facilitate procurement, acceptance inspections, and maintain "as built" drawing packages for assigned material and equipment projects.

Role Overview

We are seeking two highly skilled Mechanical Engineers with experience in the Aerospace & Defense sector to support the development and integration of advanced thermal management subsystems used across military and commercial platforms globally.
